How to revive the VI without the start and stop?

I have a VI that processes the incoming data. I would like to erase the shift registers and be able to deal with (1) the same data file on my interval selected by the user OR (2) a new data file, selected by the user. Problem is, I don't know how to revive the vi AND I don't know how to clear the shift registers. I will continue looking for the forums and looking through the topics help, but so far I have not found something that worked properly with my program.

Thank you

EM

I have use this method; However, I was able to get the VI to run again. I ended up putting another while in a loop around the entire VI with just the filepath Maj-registered to the loop. I wired then the button "run next" for the "Stop" inside while loop the loop end and filepath to return at the beginning of the outside while loop and re - run the VI of signage. I wired the former 'Quit' button for the new 'Stop' on the outside while loop. This is probably not the most eloquent way of working the VI, but it works, how I want.

Thanks for the help though!

  • Black horizontal lines on the LCD screen at a specific time during the start and stop

Hi, I am currently using a Presario CQ61 Notebook PC.  My problem, as indicated in the title, are black lines on the LCD screen, apparently when the screen is reset or enclose itself turned off during the start and stop only. From the judgment, he produced a split second her stops the hard drive, after that the screen is black. The lines and then quickly disappear. At startup, lines appear after the Windows logo has passed and the screen went from black to start loading the login screen.

The LCD is in perfect condition, all using the PC. No line, no discoloration, etc.. Nothing extraordinary either. The problem does occur only during these two periods, specifically. I am also unable to note the lines when I'm looking directly at the screen. I have to be standing next to the PC, at an angle.

Now, I had this PC for a considerable amount of time, however, I never paid much attention to the screen when starting upwards or stop, so this could definitely be something that the laptop has done since I bought it. I also read on similar problems, and it could be an outdated video driver or BIOS.

I want to just make sure that it is not a major problem. Thank you all!

  • Windows 8 How to revive the desktop and the Start Menu?

Hello, if you are using Windows 8, sometimes we are asked to open the Task Manager and close some programs for performance reasons. Strangely, programs that have been closed with the X button at the top right are still reported running and need to be stopped manually via Task Manager! During the closure of the "Desktop" program (Yes, it is in the list and it is possible to simply close), how it can be restored? Where doesn't he disappears and with it also the Start Menu? We tried to find via the command run, and we stopped the machine and restarted does not. Now, there is just an o/s hidden without user interface! The machine responds to CTRL + ALT + DELETE to bring up the Task Manager. Thank you.

You can absolutely close, for sure.  But, apps Store of Windows cannot do the slower computer.  Memory is marked as 'open for use' and can be erased and reused for any new process in the clock cycle (approximately a 1000th of a second), then it poses absolutely no load on the system just let them "running" forever.  Developers sometimes refer to this frozen as "tomb-stoned.  This is the reason for the new model of application development, so that the users do not have to worry about closing or opening an application. They just use the computer and do what they want without a slowdown.  You know, like the iPad :)

Start labview, so fix that will probably teach me a lot. Looked and saw a lot of posts of things only work in games of the run mode, but nothing like this. I have attached the relevant real-time and FPGA VI.

The code is supposed to read a motor encoder. When ran regularly, it works somehow. It will update the counter of how sporadic all few seconds a fraction of a second. When ran in climax run mode, it appears really up-to-date. After that matches the execution mode is canceled, it works perfectly. Can someone find out what could be the problem?

Ended up staring at me. I am sure that the problem was that if there is only one element in the FIFO when it checks first, it eliminates the two elements when the FIFO filled.

Fixed it by adding a test for the number of items before and reading only if there are enough items to read. Attached file sets for reference.

I have still no idea why he was running after delivery to highlight in the first place. We will never know. Bonus points for the answer = P

    Restore point:

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

  • How to synchronize the start of IT and relaxation the Scan list (DAQmx Switch)

    Hello

I want to measure samples of N to the AI0 of Council NI PXI 4461. The measurement starts on a rising edge of a digital triggering provided to the PFI0 of the same Board. The measure is configured with samples of N/2 pretrigged. So far, everything is under control...

Using an NI PXI 2567 Board, the signal applied at the entrance the 4461 (AI0) switches between a V2 and V1 signal. I would like to synchronize the switch between the two signals with the trigger signal applied to the input of the PFI0 Governing Council 4461. In order to obtain samples of N/2 of V1 and V2 samples N/2. Synchronization of 1 to 5 ms would suffice!

My question is how to synchronize the start of acquisition of AI pretrigged of 4461 with the switch control given by the Council of 2567?

Thank you in advance for your help...

PS: the configuration of the system is:

    -LabView 8.5

    -Chassis PXI-1044

    PXI-4461 on slot 2

    Module 4-slot PXI-2567

    Hi Frederic,.

I came back to this recently and used the following examples to run the desired synchronization.

    PXI-4461: Acq & graph tension-Int Clk - dig Start & Ref .vi

    Samples per channel = 1000

    Rate (Hz) = 10000.00

Start the trigger Source = / [name of the instrument DAQmx] / PXI_Trig0

    Onboard start = fall

Reference Source Trigger = DAQmx Device Name] / PXI_Trig0

    Reference edge = fall

    Trigger samples = Variable (100, 500, 900)

    PXI-2567: Switch Scaning-SW Trigger.vi

Advance the output terminal full = / [name of the instrument DAQmx] / PXI_Trig0

    Scan list = / [name of the instrument DAQmx] / ch0-> com0.

    Scan list = / [name of the instrument DAQmx] / ch1-> com1;

    Hardware configuration:

The PXI-2567 module controls an external relay that switches between the voltage of 5 V on ch0 and ch1 0 V.

The PXI-4461 connects to the COM of the external relay and therefore reads 5V when ch0 is connected; 0 v when ch1 is connected.

Procedure: The above examples are used in the following procedure.

    1. run the PXI-4461 VI.  A start trigger (falling edge) is necessary to start collecting samples before firing.

    2. launch the module, PXI - 2567 VI.  When ch0 is initially (and immediately) on com0, a trigger is sent to PXI_Trig0.  The PXI-4461 will begin to acquire samples before firing.

    3. - click on the "Connect to the next" button on the front of the PXI - 2567 VI module.  This sends a trigger to entry software for the PXI-2567 module and the transitions of the scan for ch1-> com1 list.  Once the PXI-2567 module remains (debounced), advanced complete relaxation is sent on PXI_Trig0 for the PXI-4461.  The PXI-4461 will begin to acquire samples after outbreak.

Note: Instead of the trigger of the software entry, an external input trigger can be used (e.g. PXI_Trig1).

    Results:

    > Before instant release of samples = 100

Delay is caused by the time of actuation of external relay.

    > Before instant release of samples = 500

Delay is caused by the time of actuation of external relay.

    > Before instant release of samples = 900

Delay is caused by the time of actuation of external relay.

I hope that the attached screws and the explanation above helps you and/or other customers who have this problem.

  • How to synchronize the start of the acquisition of two cards of different daq hardware

    Hello

I'm running a continuous acquisition with a PCI-6133 (@2,5. MECH / s per channel, 8 channels) and a PCI-6259 (@250 ksps / sec per channel, channel 3). Both performed in the same loop. The raw data from the data acquisition boards are written in a separate file PDM. Because the sampling frequency of the 6133 is 10 times higher than 6259, each loop, the number of values read from the 6133 is 10 times higher than 6259. If I look in the tdms file, I see the two acquisitions does not begin at the same time.

    timestamp of the acquisition

    PCI-6259: 02.06.2016 13:09:14, 866

    PCI-6133: 02.06.2016 13:09:14, 941

Also, the number of samples of the 6133 is not 10 times higher.

    number of samples

    PCI-6259: 4949658

    PCI-6133: 49309378

    questions

-How can I synchronize the beginning of acquisition? Are there some tutorials?

-What could be the reason why the erroneous report of samples (should be 10 between the daq cards)?

    Thank you very much.

    Michael

    Hello Michael,

the beginning of the acquisition can't at the same time as you do not use a common trigger. If you adjust for the different start time, the difference in the number of samples is only about 300 samples (0, 075 s difference at the beginning of the acquisition, which amounts to 187500 samples).

This difference of 300 samples occurs because the schedules of the 2 cards are not synchronized.

If you want to synchronize the starting and the acquisition between 2 cards, you need to connect with a cable RTSI. In this way, you can route the 1 device to another sample clock. The delivery of the sample through the RTSI cable clock is done automatically by the DAQmx driver.
