  1 as mentioned Sarah, ensure that you have JRE 1.6.0_12 or most recent version installed.
  2. in Report Builder, check that you have entered values Application Server URL as the location of the Web browser. None of these fields should be left blank.   If you have used Windows Explorer (computer) to create the directory in question (C:\KindleGen\) and extract the files in this directory...

  Open a command prompt.

  Type:

  CD \KindleGen

  Type:

  DIR

  Run everything you are supposed to run by typing the name.
