  If you have used Windows Explorer (computer) to create the directory in question (C:\KindleGen\) and extract the files in this directory...

  Open a command prompt.

  Type:

  CD \KindleGen

  Type:

  DIR

  Run everything you are supposed to run by typing the name.

  I got a new pc and now run W7x64; before that I used W7x32 and everything described below worked perfectly. I have the latest version of the plugin flash (11.3.300.262) and Aurora15 (does also not with release of FF).

  If I want to run FF with an another useraccount (called ff) windows7 in my account admin via runas.exe. It works without problem under x 32 but not with x 64.
  Firefox loads and makes the sites until there are some inside flash.
  In the Task Manager, you can see plugin - container.exe loading with as 3 MB but the new features of flash - plugin.exe don't is not loading and so FF freezes.
  Now the interesting part is, when I connect this useraccount ff (it doesn't matter if it's the admin/normal user) everything works fine.
  Also tested it with another machine W7x64 and it displays the same behavior.

  Any ideas?

Given that the application needs to run most of the time, when the pc is running, I don't want to use too much computer resources (cpu, memory on an average desktop pc). The user should be able to work with other applications like ms office, during execution of the VI in the background.

  LabVIEW is appropriate create a background VI which periodically checks the serial port and consumes system resources minimum or are languages like c ++ much better suited to save system resources? What is the best way to create an invisible VI that is running in the background?

  On any modern hardware, the difference in the use of resources among a LabVIEW application and written in C++ for a simple task like this will be minimal. Anyway that you use a fraction of the time CPU available if the application is written correctly.
