  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 a: printed pages go through process out with no ink - black or color

Problems with printer - it started printing with lines through text, the cartridges are slightly more than half full.  I have cleaned the print heads and tried the alignment - but he failed.  After several tries, he now goes through the process as if it is printing the document, but with zero color now - so I went to the text with lines through it a blank sheet of paper.  Any suggestions?  The printer is about 4 years old.  I have new cartridges, but if it's at the end of his life, I don't want to open them - especially when those I in it shows more than half full.  Thank you

  • Dotted lines of white on the printed work of InDesign.

Hi, I have a form of vector with a shadow shadow & internal drop made in InDesign, it keeps printing with these white dotted lines through them.

I tried making it a pdf file and import it into my identity document, which in fact eps, tiff, png and I also tried the overprint option in the menu attributes.

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

The lines run horizontally when the page is portrait. In the landscape, the lines run vertically.

If the lines are in the same place on the image then it is likely an artifact of flattering. Try to make a custom preset that forces rasters and use that in the InDesign print dialog box. Something like this:

HP Photosmart C4600 all in one printer, HP, Windows7 desktop. I changed the cartridge back & White 3 times with the HP cartridges and the problem persists. I cleaned my print heads, the problem persists, I tried various other parameters without result. Finally, I gave up and I went back to my old Epson 15 year for problem free Photo printing. How can this problem be fixed? Thank you!

When you print graphics color cartridges are usually used to print even black and white.  In addition, when printing on the paper color photo is always used as the pigmented black ink cartridge is not compatible with the photo paper.

It would seem that your color ink runs out.  See the troubleshooting steps described in this page.  Most likely, you need a fresh color cartridge.

    Hello

This happens usually if the print options or preferences are changed for your printer. To select print options, you must open the image you want to print. Most print options are located in the print dialog box, which you can access on the file menu in the program that you are using. The options that are available to you depend on the program and the printer you use.

To access some options, you may need to click on the link 'Options' or 'Advanced Options' button or tab in the print dialog box. To learn more about the print options for a program, see the information for the program.

Printing options are determined by your printer capabilities are called printing preferences and may include printing separation pages, color or image quality options and Staples. Like program options, printing preferences are displayed in the print dialog box. Look for the buttons labeled "Préférences" or "Properties". You can choose preferences each time you print a picture or preferences to default configuration to use for all the photos you send to a printer.

Try these steps and check the result.
Step 1: Set the default printing preferences.
    1. Click here to open Printers.
2 right-click the printer you want to use, and then click Printing Preferences.
    3. Select the preferences you want to use as the default the next time you print to the printer, and then click OK.

    Step 2: Use print preview:
To see what the print will look like before you print it, open the picture in Windows Photo Gallery that offers a preview before printing. Print preview is typically located on the file menu. You can choose the print in preview mode options and then print directly from the preview.

To solve printer problems, download and run the Microsoft fix it and check the result.

    I hope this helps.

I'm getting lines through my impressions when you print from Photoshop. They are just an inch of distance. Epsom tells me that the problem lies with Photoshop settings. How can I fix this?

Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign do not share print code.  Photoshop CS5 is using cocoa printing API, while Illustrator and InDesign use carbon printing API.  So, not much in common there.

    Hi @LockGal,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you are having problems with your HP Officejet Pro L7780 printer aligning and printing vertical lines. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

I understand the frustration that this must be for you. Looks like there are two separate issues. When the printer clean print heads and not properly align itself, this indicates that there is a problem with the cartridge, the print head or the line break. For vertical lines, it is usually independent for cartridges and print heads (not being is not a print quality problem). The paper type and print settings might be the problem.

To help determine the cause have you used this document: troubleshoot print quality HP Officejet Pro L7500, L7600, and L7700 all-in-One Printer Series?

Use the document in the order will help you determine if the print heads need to be replaced. If so, please contact HP.

  • When I try to print in black and white, my picture is flooded with blue ink

Hello! I made sure that all print settings were correct. I did a cleanup of the heads and made sure that the inks were all full. I put six by four inches of the printer and used hp advanced photo paper. I put the gray-scale printing, as there is no settings for black and white.

When the picture came through, he started to gray scale and further to the bottom of the image has been flooded with blue ink. I have an all in one printer fax C309 series. can someone help me please?

It seems that the print head may have a problem. Lets go to the printing preferences for the printer (these can already be defined this way if yes let us know). In this window on the left column of the impression of the shortcuts can choose Fast/economic and set printing in grayscale on the right of "Black ink" only If your setting has been set to high quality try again to print. If you were already set to "Black ink" only under the grayscale option the printer may require repair.

    Hello RLOH,

After reading your post, I see that your HP Officejet 8600 Premium will not print a photo without horizontal lines using HP Photo paper.
