How to run the rman output files, which are more days of retention

I use for my rman backup tasks.

I have format my output files of rman to a specific path, instead of the fast recovery area.

Also, I spend below command in RMAN

RMAN > CONFIGURE RETENTION POLICY to RECOVERY OF 7-DAY WINDOW;

And the "control_file_record_keep_time" parameter is also set to 7.

I've been running rman for 8 days. Everything seems good. But I find several rman output files are more than 7 days.

So, I just want to know how to handle the rman output, which is longer than 7 days files?

In fact, I assumed that these older files should be obsolete files, but rman is not to declare that they are obsolete.

So how do now?

Windows 7 day average recovery rman will protect everything necessary for the recovery to any point in time in the last 7 days.  In fact, in the last 604800 seconds.  The same will mean that he need the files OLDER than that.  Simply because a backupset is older that your recovery window does NOT as yet, it is obsolete.  Any recovery begins with the last FULL or INCREMENTAL backup ZERO before the recovery point.  And it does not matter how old the backup is, it will be obsolete.  Suppose you take a level 0 backup, 1 January and for the rest of the year taking nothing but level 1 and backup archivelog.  31 December than and only the full backup will still not be obsolete, even though he is a year old.

============================================================================

removal of the obsolescence of RMAN

Day 1 - level 0

Day 2 - level 1

Day 3 - level 1

Day 4 - level 1

Day 5 - level 1

Day 6 - level 1

Day 7 - level 1

Day 8 - level 0

Day 9 - level 1

Day 10 - level 1

Day 11 - level 1

Day 12 - level 1

Day 13 - level 1

Day 14 - level 1

On day 14, your window of 7 days is up to date 7.  A recovery to date must begin by restoring the backup of level 0 of the day 1. So it may be outdated.  Some level 1 between 1 and 6 days backups might be obsolete, depending on if they are incremental or cumulative, and it also happens with archivelogs.

You can do it like this:

    var batFile = new File("C:\\path\\to\\my\\batfile.bat");
    batFile.execute();

Note that this will only work if your system is configured in such a way that by double-clicking the .bat file runs it in reality.

  • How the names of variables and units used in the binary output file

My colleague will give me LabView generated from the binary files (*.dat). There are more than 60 variables (columns) in the binary output file. I need to know the names of variables and units, which I think he has already configured in LabView. Is there a way for him to produce a file that contains the name of the variable and unity, so that I'll know what contains the binary file? It can create an equivalent ASCII file with a header indicating the name of the variable, but it does not list the units of each variable.

As you can tell I'm not a user of LabView, so I apologize if this question makes no sense.

    Hi KE,.

an ASCII (probably the csv format) file is just text - and contains all data (intentially) written to. There is no special function to include units or whatever!

Your colleague must save the information it records the names and values in the same way...

(When writing to text files, it could use WriteTextFile, FormatIntoFile, WriteToSpreadsheetFile, WriteBinaryFile even could serve...)

  • How to change the form output folder Builders

    Hello

We have a migration project of large forms in our society and currently set up das development.
We have a CBC / and a race / folder.
SRC / contains sources such as fmb, run / holds the fmx, plx etc.

The race / folder is the folder where oc4j seeks the fmx.

Src / folder SHOULD be the working directory of Oracle Forms Builder (OFB), because the Builder search *.pll in his work dir. If they are not, the attendance will be removed from the form (for example, they will never run).

The problem for us is that the ÖFB compiles the working dir files (src /). We will have to manually copy to run / to test *.

    * I know, you can start each right form of BBA. But we have a startup form, which makes a lot of initialization of the application. If you try to start an autonomous form, it will rain error messages. Therefore, start the application starting with this form.

How can you specify the Oracle Forms Builder output folder?
How you configure you development das?

  • Files which are required for Windows to run properly have been replaced by unrecognized versions

I get this window popping up that reads, "files required for Windows to run correctly have been replaced by unrecognized versions.»  To maintain system stability, Windows must restore the original versions of these files.  Insert your Windows XP Professional CD2 now. "The problem is that I'm not running XP Professional.  I am running XP Media Edition (do not know what version - when I look at 'System' in the control panel it says version 2002, but the OS disc that came with my computer says version 2005 with update rollup 2).  In any case, I only have an installation disc, and when I insert it, the computer tells me it's the wrong disc.  What should I do?

    God help us all...

Is the CD you have an XP bootable installation CD authentic or some kind of restore CD provided with your system (they are not the same thing).  If it's a CD of Windows, this Service Pack is on the CD?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

What is your Service Pack installed?  If you are not sure, do the following:

Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    Msinfo32

Click on OK and when the system info summary appears, click on Edition, select all, copy, and then paste the results here.

There will be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), and what appears to be personal information for you, simply delete the personal information of the pasted information.

When you see a message like this:

    Windows file protection
Files which are required for Windows to run properly have been replaced by unrecognized versions.  To maintain system stability, Windows must restore the original versions of these files.

I hope that you are curious to know what is the file and when you know that, you can decide what to do about it.

You must click Cancel, and then click Yes to keep the file, then you will have an event to watch which will tell you what the problem is the file.

Search where you sign in to see what is the name of file system Viewer, then decide what to do.

The event will look something like in this example:

    Event type: Information
    Event source: Windows File Protection
    Event category: no
    Event ID: 64005
    Date: 10/01/2011
    Time: 14:41:56
    Description:
The protected system file taskmgr.exe had not been restored in its original, valid version because the Windows File Protection restoration process was cancelled by user interaction, user name is Jose.  The file version of the bad file is unknown.

When you know what the file is, you can decide what to do about it.  There are probably other copies of the files on your system, or you can get the files from another source.

A shortcut to the event viewer is to click on start, run and enter in the box:

    eventvwr.msc

Click OK to launch the event viewer.

Check your event observer system log and look for a proposed Windows file protection event.

If you double-click on an event, it will open a window of properties with more information.  On the right are black up and down arrow keys to scroll through the open events. The third button that looks like two overlapping pages is used to copy the details of the event in your Windows Clipboard.

When you find an interesting event that occurred at the time of your question, click on the third button at the top and arrows to copy the details and then you can paste the details (right click, paste or CTRL-V) the text in detail here for analysis.  Remove all personal information from your information after you paste If you are forced to do so.

P.S. Let us know how you go with these Microsoft KB article suggestions.

Windows cannot do natively.  A file name is simply a file name and you can not prevent the registration of a file based on its extension.

You can change file associations, such as a double click on a file with a particular extension will not automatically launch an application given, however, but that's not what you asked.
You may also schedule a program to run from time to time which will erase all files with a given as well.  but until this program is executed, such a file might exist on your disk.

My pc runs Windows XP Home Media edition.  I installed Windows Service Pack 3 successfully, or so I thought. Hello

Step 1: I suggest you perform the SFC scan on the computer and check.

SFC tool scans system files and replaces incorrect versions of system files by using the correct versions.

To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start and type cmd in the box start the search.
    2. right click on cmd in the list programs and then click Run as administrator.

  • How to upgrade the already encrypted files on the USB HDD with new XP Recovery certificate

I backed up the files encrypted in My Documents on a USB drive on which these files are also encrypted state. My computer crashed so I reinstalled the operating system. I wanted to send records encrypted USB HD to my computer or tried to copy projecteurDu and paste them into My Documents. I could not do this because I got "an error occurred in the application...". access privilegesDo i., access is denied. "I created a new recovery certificate and put in place a recovery agent. From there how I update the previously encrypted files on th USB HDD with the new recovery certificate? I'd appreciate a step by step procedure. Can I select the USB drive in the command line and run cipher/u on this drive or make the command/u of encryption on the computer without connecting to the USB HDD

Sorry to say that my bet is that you never gain access to these files again.

When you created the files encrypted, Windows creates a key for decryption to access these files and stored, encrypted in your certificate store.  When your system crashed, the decryption key has crashed with it.  Without this key, you will never have access to your encrypted files.  If you have recovered from a backup image-style, you should be able to access these files.  If you've recovered by installing Windows from the installation disc, then you have created a new and different installation with different Secure ID (SID) and a certificate store empty.  A recovery agent will only retrieve encrypted files that were created after that recovery agent was in place - as a new certificate.  What you really need to do, it's your old certificate to restore the backup that you created when you started using EFS.  The following article is mandatory for anyone using the EFS file system.  Special attention to the paragraph entitled "why you should back up your certificates.

"Best Practices for encrypting file system"

If you do not have a return to the top of your certificate, then things look dark.  There is a program called "AEFSDR' whose 'professional' version comes through what has not been overwritten on your hard drive in search of remains of certificates that could be delivered together to recover.

    Good luck
