  There are at least two solutions.

  One (which I like) is to write code in a database trigger (after HAVE DELETE ON detail_table FOR EACH ROW).

  Another way is to add the code at the beginning of the DELETE pre trigger forms (the block details):

  Will deploy 100 VM (all Windows XP clients) in our laboratory to test the performance of our server under heavy load device.

  We have vSpehere with vCenter 4.0; storage iSCSI and 4 guests in 2 groups.

  I think that how I can handle 100 customers at the same time, in the easiest way. On each machine, I start to our customer and make a few settings, login, etc.

  I use "Open console" option on the VM 100 all, but maybe it isn't the best way.

  Is there a best ide for this?

  Maybe I need an application to console several pc, or something like that.

• How to cancel a virtual machine?

  Morning,

  After trying to return to a capture instant hot our vcenter server is suspended with an error that the cpu is in a different family.

  The virtual machine has not changed hosts (I think) I understand that the way to solve this problem is to re - save the vm on the host.

  We use the ESXi 4.1.  I can't find the orders or instructions on how to do it.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  The virtual machine tries to regain the State of snapshot saved in the following file.

  06:25:50.938 25 Apr: vmx | CPT: Restoration of control point/vmfs/volumes/4ca074a5-7f211820-c561-0023aef861ac/GAL-VC01 /GAL-VC01 - Snapshot3.vmsn

  Unless you discover on which host the snapshot was taken or what happened (e.g. BIOS update) during the snapshot date and now, you can delete this file. The result would be comparable to a system reset.

  Given that you want to back up the virtual machine, chose the download. Copy to create a copy of the file on the data store that is not logical backup.

  BTW. You can take a look at of Veeam FastSCP if you want to backup to your (local or shared) downlaoding files) disk.

  I am currently using preinstalled VMware 7.1 and I try to import a virtual machine, I used to work on my windows XP. Recently, I am using windows VISTA and I am trying to import my VM (.vmx) and I get this error "cannot convert a virtual machine, although it is powere on or suspended. "Shut down and power off the virtual machine before the conversion.

  This virtual machine worked very well under windows XP and VMware 6.5, but now I am not able to import it. Please suggest how I can make this virtual machine running in my VISTA and vmware 7.1.

  I am also attaching the converter file logs and .vmx vmware.

  I have 2 ESXi hosts currently configured in vCenter 4.1.  Before vShield installation Manager, he had 3 vSwitches present on each server; a regular and two distributed.

  • vSwitch0 - connected to vmnic0 - has management and production of network 1 10.168.90.x

  • VLAN 10.1 - VMFN connected to vmnic1 on each host - connects to the private physical network 10.1.x.x

  After you install vShield Manager in a new virtual machine and then to deploy vShield Zones to each ESXi host, develops a new vSwitch

  VMS individual vShield-FW created for each host have connected network cards as below

  • Production network normal 1 - VM Network adapter (attached to vSwitch 0).

  • Production network normal 2 - VM Network adapter (attached to vSwitch 0).

  • Adapter 3 - vmservice-vshield-pg network

  I tried to connect my VMs to the network vmservice-vshield-pg in order

  to protect them and place them behiind the firewall.  However, who has

  seem to work, and my VM has lost network connectivity.

  Network (on vSwitch0)?  Is there any configuration steps I'm missing?

  Install the VDR plugin on the system you are goping VI client make for guests

  Once the plugin is installed to conenct to the host directly where the VDR unit is in place and functioning, rest are the steps that you normally VC.

  If you are unable to vMotion VMs manually from the host, the y is unable to escape during operations in Maintenance mode. The host will therefore go not in maintenance mode before having been involved and sort the vMotion.

  Most often, CD-ROM etc are involved here, but validation of vMotion also includes such things as the availability of resources and port groups (that is, if a group of ports corresponding to that used by the virtual machine is not available on another host in the cluster that has the resources available, the vMotion will not pass validfation and the virtual machine will remain on the host of 'Maintenance Mode').

If so, take a look at this script: updateVMPortgroup.pl everything you do really makes a call to ReconfigVM_Task() and passing in a specification change and put to day the network in which you want to change

  I'm sure I'll be stupid on this one, but what does do to ensure that networks of virtual machine?  I get this message when I look at network/properties of a VM adapter 1.

  When the virtual computer runs, my network card think the cable is disconnected.

  I went to the host properties and of course there is a 'Virtual Machine port group"and a"VMKernel Port", both connected to my physical card.

  I don't see anything obvious on the network are disabled or anything like that.

  Please give me a hint?  Virtual machines to run it, but without any network connectivity.

  I had this on the virtual machines that I moved from VMware Server 2.0. I found that there is no entry for the "ethernet0.networkName" in the .vmx files Server 2 (and probably Workstation) do not seem to care and connect ethernet0 to the first configured network. ESXi 4 all confused. So for me, the solution was to add

  ethernet0.networkName = 'Hand Lan'

  for each file .vmx before adding them for ESX. If you have already added the machine, you will need to remove it before you edit the .vmx file.

  In your Virtual Center client in the left upper corner click the inventory button and choose 'Models and Virtual Machines' this will display your virtual machines as well as the underneather of models in the window of the host tree.  Right-click on the template and select deploy the virtual machine from this template and it will start the wizard.
