How to select a color printer profile in Lightroom.

I have a couple of profiles of color icc printer installed in Windows, and I can see them in the color management module. In Lightroom, when I want to print to a jpeg file, and then select the color management, I get a few choices but not the profiles that I installed. If I choose ONE, I'm supposed to see a list of my other profiles, but do not see. What can I do? I deleted and reinstalled the profiles, but that does not change. Yjamks.

LR doesn't show you what profiles are installed on your computer.

Under LR / Print / print / profile: click the other...

On the popup put a check mark in the display profiles include at the bottom and you should see a list with boxes to tick, that you can select.

If you do not see this, then make a print screen and show us what you see by including this print-screen in a message, here.

I think there are a lot of other profiles in the example above, because the user providing screenshots has also installed Photoshop that installs a certain other profiles.  If you have installed LR there that many others, but I expect to see the RGB those you already have visible with check marks next to them already.

  • How to select a color with precision?

I have an image with many colors. I was wondering how I could select all green in the image.

    The problem is:

-by "all green", I can still hear these colors that have in their RGB, green values as little as 1, even those that need to be taken in the

    selection.

Well, if you want to eliminate all green elements would simply want the green channel in black.

If you want to add all the contents of the Green layer on the blue channel first, you could make that cut the Green layer (with black as background color), then stick on the blue channel and fading of the mode of mixing the Paste on-screen operation or possibly linear density.

    More precisely:

    1. define the background color of a pure black.

    2. in the Panel layers, choose the green channel.

    3. Select - all.

    4. Edition - cut.

    5. choose the blue channel.

    6 Edition - glue.

7 edit - Fade, choose screen or density linear to add the pixel values you just stick to what was already in the blue channel.

  • How to select the default printer

    Hi all

    Here's the scenario:
    Report Version:2.5.5.2.7 (I know really old :) )
    Form Version: 4.5.7.1.6
    OS: Windows Xp with SP2
Whenever the user clicks on the button PRINT an invoice form, the report should
print directly without showing no preview (is a different button for preview).
I choose the number of copies that must be printed in a table in DB.
Make a list of parameter (for destype, desname, copies, etc.) and call the report. (RUN_PRODUCT)
It is if I take the name of the printer to DB something like \\machine_name\printer_name and assign it to desname, it works very well.
However, instead of picking it from the DB, I want to know if I can get the default name of the printer directly from the machine where the report is running.

Reason: If a printer goes wrong and the user wants to print to a different printer, I don't have to keep on changing the values in the comic book.

    All entries/tracks will be appreciatted.

    Thank you

    Hi Buqa,
Nice to see you in the forum reports ;) if I saw you in the forum of pl/sql.

In fact if you want to print to the default printer. Then just the DESTYPE PRINTER setting there. The report will go directly to the default printer and if you mention the DESNAME then it will go to the selected printer you. I mean if the printer selected, you'll pass null, then you can just move the DESTYPE then report will go directly to the default printer.

By NOTHING, I mean not to pass the parameter in the case of the DEFAULT PRINTER.

I have about 10 photos of a drawing/character but the color is not consistent. How to select a color in the first drawing and then use that same color in all the

drawings so that he is there not differences in images?

On one of the drawings, use the eyedropper tool.

You can select the color of different sample sizes, 1-pixel average of 101 x 101.

And then double-click the color in the Color Palette and add it to your color chart.

    Name your new shade.

    Voila.

  • How to incorporate the color profile?

I read the link of color management which concerns color ICC profiles, but I'm still a little confused.  I wanted to prepare my Photoshop document for the download of clean room to print a canvas.

    1. I installed the ICC color profile in my library > ColorSync > folder profiles

    2. I have tested I went to the test format to see to see what she looked like.  Seemed fine.

I want to save the file in jpeg format with this color profile for them to print... in other words, I wanted to incorporate the color profile.  At least that's how I understood what I should do next. However, I can not understand how do.  I went to file > save as > and choose jpeg but sRGB IEC61966 - 2.1 profile is checked.  When I uncheck, I cannot select another color profile.

Abandon this idea, I thought I would try another way to incorporate the color profile, so much so I thought I should go in Edition > assign profile but it won't show the cleanroom color profile from the drop-down list.

How to integrate the ICC color profile in this file so that I can upload it to White Hall for printing?  I would really appreciate the help!

    Thank you!

"Abandon this idea, I thought I would try another way to incorporate the color profile, so so I thought I should go in Edition > assign profile but it won't show the cleanroom color profile from the drop-down list."

Edition > assign profile is the correct procedure to incorporate a specific profile.  The reason why you can't find "White Hall color profile" in the menu drop-down is because it is a profile of the printer.  There are two profiles involved: 1) profile picture to color mode (usually applied in Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator applications); (and 2.) printer profiles (the profiles are created when the print provider calibrated their printer on a special paper, vinyl, or vellum support.)

It seems that your print provider has asked users incorporate an sRGB color profile that can be done easily in any application you happen to use to create your particular file.  They will then print your profile incorporated using their printer driver or RIP file to process and print your file using their 'color of the White Hall profile' in their process of RIP and Print.

  • I'm trying to print using my own profile and no color management.   I have found a lead to the Adobe Color Print Utility but reached a point where he declared that she would not work with future versions of the Mac operating system.   I have Mac OS 10,11,

I have been printing PSD images with my own profiles and color management using an Epson R2880.

I've now changed to a Mac with OO 10.11.3 and unable to replace the color management.   I found a lead on the Adobe Color printer utility but failed and got a message saying that the utility has only worked with an earlier version of the OS 10.   Is there a way to turn this problem?

    GHK

You don't want or need to use the old setting 'No Color Management'. Is no longer the right way to print with a custom printer profile, in the current versions of Photoshop and OS X.

To use a custom profile to print, use the attached picture settings:

    • In the print dialog box, set the Photoshop color management menu manages colors.
    • Select your profile to the printer in the printer profile menu.
    • In the settings of printer driver Epson (under Printer Setup button) make sure that the Epson printer driver is set to the color - off management.

I don't know why Adobe Color Printer Utility works in 10.11.3, because I can throw on OS X 10.10 and 10.11. But in the end, it doesn't matter, because you don't want to use it for this purpose Adobe Color Printer Utility is only to print a profiling target, no images. And it won't let you print using your custom printer profile, because the whole point of the utility is to print with no discoloration whatsoever.

  • Profile/.joboptions for color printing

    Hi all

I'm a new designer and therefore do not know everything that he. I'm working on a brochure, and I asked the studio print for their color profile, allowing to adjust the colors. They sent me a file named "print fogra39.joboptions". I know that fogra39 is a profile of color in itself, but I don't know if it's the one I should use. Any ideas what to do with this file?

A .joboptions file is a PDF preset.  You want to load it so that you can export the PDF file as they wish for the production.

File > Adobe PDF presets > define. In the dialog box settings predefined Adobe PDF, click the Load button and navigate to the file with print fogra39.joboptions on your hard drive. Click Print fogra39.joboptions file to select it, and then click Open. When you see the new Presets listed screening section at the top left click Done button to confirm and exit the dialog box.

Later, when you have finished your design work, you can go to FILE > Adobe PDF presets and select the option Print Fogra39.  This will display the PDF file for the specification of the studio.

    I hope this helps.

  • How to have different color profiles on screens cloned with color management

    Hello

I have calibrated two monitors (in fact, one is a standard monitor and the other is a projector that is connected to my computer) using the third-party program. I'm so done with ICC profiles two different, one for my monitor and the other for my image to the projector.

These two are connected to a card double head (Quadro 4000).

I am able to use my two different color ICC profiles with an extented of office using the color management settings in Win7 without problem. I can't disable them without problem also.

But I can't do it with a clone view (dual display). Even if I am able to select two different profiles for each of them in windows color management settings. Alone can apply for each of them. In fact, when I'm in an office clone, even when I tried to deactivate the profile of each color, nothing changed. Color management doesn't seem to update more as soon as I'm in a clone desktop mode.

Anyone know if there is a way to apply TWO different colors on monitors CLONED profiles? In my case, I can not use extended desktop and I really need to apply the calibration profile two different.

    Thank you very much!
