  A way to make a sub VI appear as a popup is to go to the VI properties for the desired sub VI, select the appearance of the window from the drop-down list, select Customize, and then check both "Show Front Panel when it is called ' and 'close later while initially closed.   Ignore the bits after the comma, and add whole minutes in the minutes column:

  The calculator is not a huge help to make these kinds of calculations because it works in decimal which means he cannot directly calculate/convert seconds/minutes/hours located in several of the early 1960s.   So I really do not see this as a matter of VMware Fusion and see it in the totally as an issue security policy mainly on Windows, although the other mentioned permissions must be at least check and then only modified if necessary after that making the necessary changes on Windows is not sufficient even though as long as the folder shared VMware is set read/write & I think the rest this is totally of the Windows side.
