How to sign a PDF file with a certificate using Acrobat Reader DC? It works fine in Adobe Reader XI.

Using Acrobat Reader XI I can sign a PDF document with a digital certificate. After the update to Acrobat Reader DC I can't understand how to do this. I don't see where I can sign with an image of signature mu, but how can I register with a certificate?

Check

In the top bar, select "Tools". Check if the list of tools in the right pane has a 'Certificate' tool If he does not appear for the 'Certificate' tool in the list of tools in the main pane (you had to scroll down to get to her. The legend below should say 'Add '. Click on it. The 'Certificate' tool is added to the list of tools frequently used in the right pane.

Now that "the 'Certificate' tool is in the right pane, click on it." You get a new bar on the top that lists the operations that you can do with digital signatures. These are the same options you had in Acrobat XI when you clicked on filling sign & -> work with certificates.

Good luck!

  • How to create small PDF files with images of reasonable quality?

    Help me Obiwan Adobe!

There seems to be several utilities on the web that claim to do this, but I thought I ask first of all experts. There must be some sort of step by step technical describes a place that allows you to create PDF files that have reasonable quality but which do not come with such extreme weight they can not be sent by e-mail.

I saw suggestions ranging from using the footprint of the PDF in InDesign feature (sometimes it works, sometimes not), export from InDesign with the preset PDF/X1a (used to work ok, but now seems not chewable files down, as they used to) to adjust preferences for a lower screen resolution - not in export or save as dialog box - then saving it under a reduced size. I tried almost all the techniques I've seen but in vain.

So I guess there is something that I am missing. Building a file InDesign you want to compress severely, is best to use JPEG files or other PDF files or something else for placed images?

I know it's asking a lot and clearly native features of Acrobat are not much help, but I have several uses for this. I do a lot of book design and prefer to send drafts for customers who are at least pretty good for them to watch without blurry images. I would also like to set up a portfolio PDF that does not require the sending by FTP. In fact most of the places that ask for my PDF portfolio want less than 1.5 MB. It seems impossible.

So there you go. Somebody needs to write a book. In fact, if I get a good orientation, maybe I'll do it.

    Thank you

. Jpg can be a possible reason for blurred images. JPEG files are not generally recommended for use with PDF files, although many people use. Usually, TIF or PNG are recommended for bitmaps with PDF files.

  • How to split a PDF file with pages to single pages spread?

    Hello

We received a little booklet from a client wich no spread pages (sorry if this is the wrong term, I mean to and for pages like the 2 and 3 were merged to a page in the PDF file).  Our printer does not spread pages accept what we had to do were to do a 40 page document in InDesign with facing pages, then place pages from the upper left corner of the pages even if it "stretched" in the next few pages.  Then we could just export ourselves and get the pages as single pages.

My question is: are there at - it a way to make it fast and easy in Acrobat (or if not possible InDesign in Acrobat)? With a clever solution or maybe a script? :...

We were lucky because the brochure contained only 40 pages, but what happens if someone sent us a record of 400 pages, it would take a lot of time. I read somewhere that you can duplicate each page and then harvest by hand, but which will not be effective or accurate, nor time.

Thanks in advance for any help

As you only need the PDF for printing, you can refry it in Acrobat format (not something we generally advise but in this case...)

Open the Acrobat print dialog box, and then select the Adobe PDF printer. Click Properties, make sure that you use a print setting high quality and the right destination paper size (for example to portrait A4 if your original has spread A3).

Under management of the Page, choose "All the pages of tiles", 100% scale and zero overlap. Uncheck the marks and labels and print the file to a new PDF. You will lose any layers, forms, scripts etc. but you their lost anyway with your inDesign workaround. Be sure to check that the fonts are embedded in the final document if you print via a commercial SCAM.

Note that if the PDF is secured to prevent changes / page extraction, the choice of tile on the handling of the print dialog Page list is unavailable even if the PDF file has permissions to print - Acrobat must play the content on the page to perform arrangements of the 'mosaic', as some page objects will cross the line of cut It has an unsecured file to work on.

  • How to save a PDF file with presets

How can I save/export format PDF of Adobe Acrobat Pro with a preset (the same presets as in InDesign, for example)?

    Thank you

These presets are used to create PDF files. Once you have it, the presets do not apply. However if you want to reduce the size of file and quality, you can try save under... Optimized PDF (assuming that you have Acrobat X or later).

  • If an illustrator file has links with spot colors, how can I create PDF files with process colors?

My file has shades of tones that came with the linked logo, I could not find a way to convert those shades of colors quadri.

I need to send PDF on a printer with only process colors, I know that the printer can choose to convert spot colors to process when printing with printer within Acrobat Panel, but since we do not print, we need to send files to print ready with process colors only.

Is there a way or a script to make PDF file generated from Illustrator with process colors only?

You could try object > flatten transparency and clear colors to preserve overprints and Spot.

I set the preset high resolution and turn on the preview to see if something dramatic is going to happen.

After that, you can check the file of color dot in the separations Preview Panel.

  • How to export a PDF file with text, which will be not selectable?

    Hello Adobe lovers,

I want to export a file of 12 pages of text (and several of the images too) in PDF format.

With a standard configuration, I have received a file with selectable text (103 KB: it's good for me!).

When I vectorizes the text, my PDF weighs 12 months (too much for me!), but the text is corrected.

Been to a setting that can solve my problem?

    Thanks much < 3

Tell them that not to open the file in Illustrator - this isn't a PDF Editor.

Request that all changes made through you.

Or find another supplier in China... There must be more than one.

Anyway - there is no real way to reduce the size of the file after you have created the contours - as it is fundamentally changing the vector shapes of all glyphs.

Many comments here too... Please read carefully - and questions ask away.

  • How to save a PDF file with zoom as TIFF/PNG of quality equal?

I have a graphic photographic resolution in PDF (vector graphics). Zoom in Acrobat results in an impeccable oversampled image you expect from vector graphics. However, I can not save the PDF upscale as an oversampled TIFF or PNG - I get horrible artifacts. How can I get Acrobat to save the PDF with zoom a PNG/TIFF image?

    Thank you very much...

You can get what you want with instant tool under editing, AA XI. This will give you a screenshot of what is shown on the screen. The best way is to open the vector graphic in Illustrator and work directly with vector illustration.

  • How to import a PDF file with objects of the typewriter?

I have a .pdf file saved with text created by the typewriter tool. When I import the .pdf in InDesign (I use CS4), typewriter text disappears in the InDesign document. I can't find any preferences or settings in Acrobat or InDesign which solves this problem. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Yes, it absolutely to degrade the quality of the placed PDF!

Re-create the PDF file by distilling the PDF PostScript flattens transparency all and converts the colors (that's another flattening as the flattening of the annotations and form fields). It's a lossy operation that gives results of lower quality including seams of transparency, color issues problems and potential problems of fonts.

There is another way, a bit simpler flatten annotations and form fields in Acrobat Pro using the preflight check mechanism. Use the profile of correction flatten annotations and form fields upstream! This works without any Javascript or other changes in the PDF file.

  • How to create a PDF file with markup enabled for users of Reader?

I have a bunch of Word 2007 documents containing the specifications of the project. I would like to be able to turn them into PDF documents that others can markup using the player. Is this possible?

I tried to use the built-in PDF output module. How to create a PDF document, but it is not enabled for comments.

About half way down this page for comparison.

    http://www.Adobe.com/products/Acrobat/matrix.html

There is a line that says:

"Look at familiar material using annotation tools such as sticky

Notes, highlighting, lines, shapes, and stamps.

In the column player, there is a symbol in the player column which I assume is
supposed to be some sort of container half full or something. To the
    background, he says

"When enabled by Acrobat Pro or Acrobat Pro Extended".

This seems to indicate that Acrobat Standard cannot create documents PDF active comment, but Pro or Pro Extended can. Is this correct?

If I buy Acrobat Pro, I will be able to use it to create documents PDF active comment of my Word 2007 documents?

If so, how does this work? It converts the Word document? It allows to convert the PDF, I create using the Word add-in? I can call it from inside of Word?

    Thank you

You get this message because that say, if you had a form to fill out, you may not have form fields to fill AND allow commenting at the same time. It's one or the other.

It should invite you to reregister the file so if you are worried about ruining a certain PDF, simply save it under a different name.

  • How to save a PDF file as v1.4 in Acrobat Pro?

    Hello

  • How to include a .wav file with vi the use of the application builder?

    Hello

I am developing an application that uses a .wav file. I want to compress this file along with the vi in an executable so that the end user has a single file to run it.  Is it possible to add the .wav file to the executable using Application Builder? Moreover, to do this, can we configure the path to the .wav file in vi to always search for the file in the installation folder (for example: C:\Program Files\E2C\MSK or according to the user installs the executable folder in)?

    Thank you

    Anvy

    Anvy,

It is not possible to compile a wav file in an executable file using LabVIEW. You can include the wav file in the project and include it in "still included" in your build script that will copy the file in the folder wav data from your executable file. So it is quite easy to distribute the wav with your exe file, even if the wav is not in the exe file.

    hope this helps,

    Norbert
