  I know there is a way to do this using just extract schema and import, but not 100% sure on the option.

  Basically I have HFM 11.1.2.1 app I want one EPS to another. I can't use CopyApp as the env 2 are in 2 data centers.

  The steps I've done is, extracted all the app HFM (Oracle DB) scheme and imported into the new CA. During the Setup, I think I should choose

  "Perform the first database configuration", then point to the schema that I imported all with HFM app? If I choose this, it erases all the imported tables.

  Or it's a good idea to import empty schema tables after that I configured this empty schema.

  I think it is easier.

  1. You get a backup of the schema of HFM database from the source environment and you restore it in the target environment
  2. You use CopyApp utility, and you copy the database to the database restored to the local HFM database.

  I intend to develop a plug-in for vCO and ask a few questions. I hope you might be able to guide me in the right direction!

  While developing a plug-in of vCO, is it possible or is it possible if I can somehow monitor the State of my objects (that I want to expose to the vCO) and whenever the state changes, a pre-generated workflow is executed in vCO. Somehow, I think it may be like this:

  1 exhibit all objects and monitor its status.

  2. If the state changes, call services web vCO to execute a workflow.

  For example: I would write a plug-in, a little, exposing only some objects, when VM state changes power off on IT, a workflow in vCO is executed automatically. But this feature must be the plugin design inside.

  Can anyone of you help me in this?

  All the application startup/shutdown scripts are under the INST_TOP/admin/scripts directory $. You can use adstrtal.sh and adstpall.sh to start and stop the application components.
