How to Stop Autoplay "permanently"

Is there a way to do this?

Obviously, functionality was botched, or cancel would work in reality.

Provide an update of this obnoxiously annoying situation Ms.

Download and install the Tweak UI for Windows XP www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx.

Tweak UI gives access to system settings that are available through the Windows XP default user interface.  Options include:

Enable or disable automatic execution for each drive letter
Enable or disable AutoPlay for CD and DVD drives
Enable or disable Autorun for removable drives
AutoPlay handlers

Sent your comments for FireFox on the issue.

From what I had read in the comments, it's not just about Flash: YouTube disabled add-ons and looking for something that can play videos in Windows, including using HTML5. Have no information how Web sites do.

That's the picture/video, settings, effect, face recognition.
How to stop what appears, as it's annoying the heck out of me, because it is covered permanently on my Web pages.
I can remove it with a right click, but I can't say how to stop appearing on start up.

    Hello

    I agree with Akuma.
To cancel the camera automatically load software, the simplest method is to disable in msconfig.
In RUN, type msconfig. Go to the Startup tab and disable the camera software.

    That s it ;)

  • How to stop Windows Update to force an unwanted win7 upgrade to win 10

Can someone tell me how to stop Windows Update to force an unwanted Win 7 upgrade to win 10.

Currently, I have 50 + 'important' updates pending and 3 updates "optional" (which one is ranked 10 Windows), but even with 10 Windows Update is not selected and the value "hide this update" the only option shown in Windows Update is upgrading to Windows 10.

Any attempt to install ONE of the other Win 7 or MS Office updates translates into Windows Update, saying that it is downloading Windows 10.

I would like to install updates Windows 7 (and MS Office), but given the way that Microsoft has put on several occasions customers for a forced update to win 10, I'd really rather not count on leave install Win 10 and just hope that the 'Roll Back' option really works without leaving me right where I am now.

  • Wallpaper & theme changes randomly - how to stop this?

How to stop windows change randomly my paper painted & theme.

I will customize it via Control Panel, be careful not to check several wallpapers. But he keeps between 2 wallpaper / themes & one of them autohides my taskbar.

Don't want to have to continue to go to the control panel to update the settings!

    Hi Amerrrs,

    (a) don't you make changes to your computer before the onset of the problem?
    (b) when the wallpaper and theme changes it? During hibernation?
    (c) was your computer pre-installed with Windows 7?
    (d) does when working on an application? A third-party application could be causing the problem.
    (e) using a laptop? There are times that your laptop battery is low and the screen goes to the basic theme.

If you do not want to change the wallpaper or themes, make sure that you have not set the time to change the wallpaper and theme or never put if you can.  It could be the screensaver that rises, which mask the taskbar

You can place your computer in a clean boot State and check

There could be a possibility that a third-party application conflicts and the problem occurs.

You can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a 'clean boot'. A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note When you perform a clean boot, you may temporarily lose some functionality. When you start the computer as usual, the function returns. However, you may receive the error message, or you can experience the original behavior.

Follow the steps below to put your computer in a clean boot state:

Note If the computer is connected to a network, network policy settings may prevent you from following these steps. We recommend strongly that you do not use System Configuration utility to change startup options on the computer, unless a support engineer Microsoft directs you to do so. This can make the computer unusable.

    1. sign the computer by using an account with administrator rights.

    2. click on the Start button, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration utility.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

    3. on the general tab, click Selective startup, and then clear the check box load startup items. (The check box use the file Boot is not available.)

    4. on the Services tab, click to select the skin all the Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all.

Note Following this step lets services Microsoft continue to run. These services include networking, Plug-and-Play, record of events, error reporting, and other services. If you disable these services, you can permanently delete all restore points. Do not do this if you want to use to restore the system with the existing restore points.

    5. click OK and then click on restart.

Check the link to find out more below clean boot:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    1. click the Start button, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

    2. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    3. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

  • How to stop spam

    Original title: junk mail

I get spam from a site that I continually delete and block. They just continue to send with the name of a different person. I went to what I thought was originally and asked them to stop, but to no avail. How can I stop it permanently?

I'm afraid that you have already made the mistake to avoid.

Never contact any sender of junk mail. Their first contact is often a test to see if the address is powered and monitored. Having made this response you left yourself open to being bombed by them and others of these thugs, that they pass the information on. They almost never accept to withdraw from their database and use the changing names to avoid a deadlock. Just ignoring them, is there a chance that they will give up.

Only use the option to unsubscribe on the emails you know come from a reputable company that you contacted yourself.

  • Stop AutoPlay HTML5 in Safari?

With the upgrade of El Capitan in Sierra, ClicktoPlugin is much broken. So now videos on sites like YouTube, CNN and others are all auto-jouant again.

I read that Sierra has a function to prevent this - it is go to the preferences of Safari:

Go to the Security tab and allow for Plug-ins Internet Plug-ins need to be checked, then click on the plugin settings button.

Then choose QuickTime, ask value 'during the visit of other websites'. HTML5 should then STOP auto playing video.

The problem is that it does not, because it is not just any QuickTime plugin listed.

So nobody knows how to stop the HTML5 in Safari 10, under the Sierra?

    Hmm.  QuickTime?

    That's all I have in Safari > Security > Internet Plug-ins > plug-in settings

I have no problem with auto-play; When you click on a video link he will play.

There may be a clue here: How can I disable auto playback of video content in Safari?

Your statement makes no sense to me or I am misunderstanding you. Of course, the photos are stored in the camera when taking pictures with the camera. Where you wait to store photos?

IF you mean that you see the pictures in the thumbnail view while using the camera application, they are not duplicated in any. You just see them in the camera application, but they are stored in the photos app.
