How to stop Firefox remembering typed usernames

Firefox remembered all the names of typical users. I find this very annoying. Badly typed usernames, personal user names are displayed to everyone. I could see an option 'Remember password' that can be disabled (under the Security tab of the options). But there is no option to stop to remember the user names. Can you suggest me any help?

There are two scenarios of your problem:

    (1) IF you do not want Firefox to remember your user name and passwords for any Web site, follow these steps:

    • Click the Firefox button, and then click Options (or Menu file-> Options)
    • Security tab-> uncheck remember passwords for sites
    • Click OK in the Options window

    (2) IF you want Firefox remember your user name and passwords, but you don't want to save them for some specific Web sites (in other words, if you want to ban Firefox to save your user name and passwords for some specific sites), follow these steps:

    • go to the site
    • Enter your username and password and click Sign-in or Log-in
    • When the password remember Firefox prompt, click the Remember password for the menu drop down and select never save password for this Site
    • Make Firefox remember names of users and passwords

When I connect to a website, Firefox is remembering names. I changed all the settings I know, but it continues to insist on "suggesting" to login names. How can I disable this function?

"Never remember history" designates the private browsing mode.

    • Tools > Options > privacy > Firefox will be: "use the custom settings for history".
"Always use the private browsing mode.

You will need to disable the PB mode temporarily relying on the delete key when this entry is highlighted in the drop-down list as I posted above.

  • Stop Firefox remembering what I type

Firefox remembers the data typed in pages where I'm looking. I don't want that he remembers nothing. ID's, I am looking for data, etc. How can I remove what has been recorded and stop future economy?

Firefox contains a ton of features for the protection of personal information to protect the data of our users. If you go to the Privacy page Options of Firefox tab, you can find the settings related to your history, research, etc..

If you select use the custom settings for history, you will have full control over what Firefox did with your story. You can uncheck all of the history that you don't want Firefox to remember (browsing history and form/search in your case). You will also have control over how long Firefox stores cookies and can even prevent Firefox to save cookies at all.

If you choose to erase history closing Firefox, you can tell Firefox to clear your history whenever you close the browser. If you click the button settings... corresponding to this option, you will have total control over what the Firefox history delete when you close Firefox.

If you want to remove your existing registered form AutoComplete results, simply click on the text field that display data from the form, hover over the entry you want to delete and press Delete on your keyboard. Alternatively, you can install the form history control addon on your browser for a wide range of parameters and control on the history of the form.

  • How to stop Firefox from storing the CAC PIN?

I'm working on the configuration of Firefox to use an ACC Player. In the process, it seems that Firefox saves my PIN. For example, to put in place the .dll file to get Firefox to see the player, I went to view certificates to verify that they were installed. Firefox (legitimately) asked me my PIN code and I entered.

Then I went to a site requiring CAC, and while he asked me the certificate to be used (correct), he failed to ask me my PIN code and I logged into the site.

I then closed tab and went to another site and even once, while he asked for the certificate, it did not PIN code.

Then, I closed Firefox completely (and all other browsers) and rebooted, went to a site. It asking for the certificate but does not ask for the PIN.

I installed IE Tab v2 because some sites have refused to recognize the card in the reader. After that, he finds the map and asked me for the certificate but not the PIN code.

The only way to get Firefox to forget the PIN is to restart the computer, but as soon as you use your PIN, it is stored in Firefox.

It is an extremely huge security breach. The whole point of a CAC is that it requires authentication in two steps. I need the card and the PIN. If someone has my card and they go to a machine that has not been restarted I used, so they can access websites requiring an ACC connection because Firefox has stored my PIN.

How can I get Firefox to store not the PIN code? I should be asked each time.

Further investigation reveals that the question leaves ACC in the reader. If you have activated the cert with the PIN and let the ACC in the drive and then go to another site, it asks to cert, but since you already have the PIN, it will not ask again.

If you pull the ACC and again before you go on the site, it will ask the PIN code again.

  • How to stop Firefox blocking Flash once and for all?

I have the latest version of Adobe Flash and Firefox insists on constantly to block it.
I tried the thermostat settings in advance however that they do not make the choice to stop it completely.

I don't want to switch browsers, but the East is frustrating.
Thank you for all the solutions.

Adobe has released an update today to solve critical problems, he admitted were in the 18.0.0.203 version. You can get 18.0.0.209 on this page:

    https://www.Adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

No one can promise that this kind of block will never happen. If that happens, if you are not accustomed to using the "Request to activate" feature a plugin, here's what to expect:

When you visit a site that wants to use the Flash, you should see a notification in the address bar icon and one of the following: a link in a black rectangle in the page or an information bar slides between the toolbar and in the page area.

If you see a good reason to use Flash, and the site looks trustworthy, you can go ahead and click on the Lego-like icon in the address bar to allow Flash. You can trust the site for the time being or permanently.

But some pages use Flash only for tracking or play ads, so if you do not see an immediate need for Flash, feel free to ignore the notification! It will just sit there in case you later want.

  • How to stop Firefox from the start?

Hey, I think that this problem is part of a bigger problem.

I tried the suggestions in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/989230 to the letter and yet nothing can fix it.

For those who won't click on the link or the copy - paste. The problem is the following:

During startup, Firefox opens automatically on my home page. In this case recently ever since Windows Update 8.1 on July 15, 2014. Also, what happens during the update, is that my ultrabook which supposed to have instant feature now seems to be ultra slow at the start and extremely slow when stopping down.

Some programs have been installed except the 8.1 patch update and only different before and after that the update which is now Firefox start instantly.

    Solutions I've tried:

    (1) task Manager > startup > want to uncheck just Firefox at startup but not Firefox is here

    (2) open CCleaner > start-up > no even Firefox on it

    (3) searched msconfig > startup > go to the Task Manager > repeat step 1

    (4) went on http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx on the link at the top to start windows > No. Firefox has detected that either, 4-5 entry yellow and 1 red
4A) have no idea what these means, what I notice, is that yellow could not locate the file, and the Red just here does nothing I guess.

Here are the four steps I tried without success and I'm very sure that Firefox autostart is originally my laptop started slower than my computer pentium 4 windows 95 I have to the corner of my room.

Further suggestions other than what I tried would be welcome.

The problem seemed if being arrested since my laptop got another BSOD.

I guess that this laptop just needs a foot in the head at work again.
