How to stop multiple self-switching to the address bar every time I open a new tab and try typing something anywhere outside the address bar?
How to stop multiple self-switching to the address bar every time I open a new tab and try typing something anywhere outside the address bar? As something just wants me to use this integrated search when you type something non-Web-address in the address bar and press to enter. And the most ridiculous thing is that happens repeatedly on as every second, as I just got off the address bar and start typing again, but still he passes me in the address bar, then 3, 4 times like that. And the result is that I don't see the address of this page.
I think that its has something to do with my AVG Antivirus, because it started the same time a Nation AVG started to appear in each new tab I opened (and which is irritating as me, I've read here on support.mozilla.org and it seems that the only solution is to completely reinstall Firefox, but I don't want to lose all my settings) but when I type something in the address bar and press enter It opens the search results in Google.
Please try to help me, I love Firefox but I have to switch to Chrome until I fix this.
Thanks in advance
First of all, please update Firefox 32. 22 is no longer support is not safe. So, let us know if you still have this problem. Update Firefox to the latest version

Why suddenly I "You've opened a new tab" on the page every time I open a new tab?
All of a sudden a few days, instead of a blank page when I open a new tab, Foxfire began to display a whole thing under the heading "you've opened a new tab". I am quite aware that I opened a new tab. I purposely, and I do it all the time. There is a checkbox "don't show me this page again" to check, but I already checked it several times and it doesn't change anything. Why this message start showing and, more importantly, how can I get to stop?
Try to start Firefox in safe mode. This mode disables all extensions, customizations, hardware acceleration, etc., temporarily for the diagnosis and troubleshooting. If Firefox works find in safemode, then it's probably a problem with the add-on. Restart Firefox in normal mode, and then type "subject: addons" (without the quotes) in the address bar. Disable your extensions, restart Firefox between each one, until you find the troublemaker. Once you do, you can turn off this add-on and report the problem to the developer of this - on Add.
A few other basic problems you can try things is the following:
Run all Windows updates, install all required service packs, etc.Updating your graphics driver (Firefox uses the graphics card for rendering and an outdated graphics card driver can cause problems. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers.
Update all of your plugins (Flash, Java, etc.): http://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/.
Download and install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full scan. http://www.malwarebytes.org/. This check allows that there is no virus on your computer, causing problems. You can uninstall this program after having cleaned the infections.
If none of these works, please see Preferences are not saved, that includes a few steps, you can take which should solve the problem.
In addition, you should start getting ready to upgrade to Firefox 11. Firefox 3.6 support will be removed in a few weeks, which means he will receive more updates of stability or security. 11 Firefox is up to 7 times faster than 3.6, has many new features and improvements, as well as support for new web standards. http://www.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/features/ and Update Firefox have more information.

Everytime I open a new tab, I'm greeted by this page
http://blog.Mozilla.org/UX/files/2012/05/Firefox-beta-13-redesigned-About_Home-Page1.PNG?128c42
Is a small problem for me, because when I want the cursor at the beginning in the adressbar. So, if for example, I opened a new page, I type in imdb.com I receive directly on imdb.
Today, however, with the Home tab firefox screen. I have to do a google search for imdb.
A small problem perhaps, but enough to be annoying.
Is there a way to move the settings or something similar, and keep the cursor in the address bar after you open a new tab?
Hello
If you only want the new tabs do not have home page, you can change it by going in your Subject: config page and replacing "browser.newtab.url" Subject: vacuum. For me at least, if I open a new tab on a white page, the cursor remains the address bar.
In order to change your Firefox Configuration please follow the following steps:
- In the address bar, type Subject: config
and press enter. The subject: config "this might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.
- Click on I'll be careful, I promise! to keep the comments: config page.
If you also want to change your home page to a blank page, you can do so in virtue:
- (on Windows) Tools > Options > general, or
- Menu
> Options (preferences on Mac and Linux) > general
Then change the dropdown to "when Firefox starts:"so that it is set to 'Show a blank page'.»
Note that you can continue to do research on the awesome bar and search bar where you want to do a Google search.
Does this solve the problem? Let us know.

I want my home page to open every time I open a new tab. Where is the setting for that?
When I open a new tab, it is always empty. I want it opens automatically to my homepage everytime I open a new tab.
I thought I found a framework for this, but I can't find it now. There is no setting for this, but you can do this by using an add-on such as:
- NewTabURL - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/newtaburl
- New tab Homepage - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/new-tab-homepage
Another way to open the home page in a new tab is in the Middle, click the home button in the navigation toolbar.

Before the last update, my setup is: Menu bar, bar navigation, toolbar, bookmarks and tabs in that order from top to bottom. I have it configured to display the tabs do not if there is one. It starts so correct when I first open the browser, but if I start a 2nd tab Bookmarks toolbar passes over the top of the navigation bar. Is it possible to lock my settings?
I'm having a similar issue, although mine happens when I start a new page instead of a new tab. Once I start a new page, it displays the bookmark above all bar, but go to personalization fills the installation with the bookmarks bar in its normal position. This will remain true until I start a new page regardless of the first being open or not. The current version is Ff36.0, it is not moved before the last big update. Uploaded images show from the beginning until the fixation with customization, note I do not click on anything else that customize, customization of the output.

I've done everything I can find in the support section, and every time I open a new tab, I get searchnu. Whenever I use the search url bar, it uses searchnu. How to open a new tab and opens automatically to my homepage
When I open a new tab, it goes straight to the snapdo.com. How can I change this so when I opened a new tab it opens directly to google without having to type in, or clicking on a bookmark button?
There is a setting for new tabs...
(1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.
(2) in the search above the list box, type or paste newtab and make a pause so that the list is filtered
(3) double-click the preference browser.newtab.url and enter your favorite page:
- (Default) page thumbnails = > subject: newtab
- Blank tab = > subject: empty
- Built-in Firefox homepage = > topic: welcome
- Any other page = > full URL of the page
Note: when changing to Google, use a full URL ultimate as https://www.google.com/ - if you use a partial URL, there will be a few seconds while Google Firefox redirects this ultimate URL.
Press Ctrl + t to open a new tab and check that it worked. Fixed?
Two traps:
- If Firefox ignores the setting, one of your extensions may be substitution of her. You can consult, disable and/or remove extensions on the addons page:
Tools menu > Modules > in the left column click on Extensions
- If the amendment works but at the next startup is back at Google, you might have a user.js file in your personal settings Firefox (your Firefox profile folder). This article describes how to track down and delete the file: How to fix preferences that will not save.
A little luck?

When I open a new tab I see Google search smooth with large beautiful Firefox logo on the top center of research, and makes me automatically type in this research. Is there a way to automatically enter address bar when a new tab is opened? Just moved to Firefox and it's quite annoying.
Thanks to all the advice.
-KarlLooks like you have set browser.newtab.url to Subject: House which opens the default home page in each new tab. The simplest thing to do is to reset this preference so that instead of the new tab page:
- Type of topic: config in the address bar and press ENTER.
- To ignore the warning, press the big button "I'll be careful, I promise!
- In the search box, paste browser.newtab.url
- In the search results, click browser.newtab.url , and then choose reset.
Otherwise,.
- Custom installation tab.
- Open the modules (Ctrl + Shift + A Manager; Mac: Command + shift + A), then the Extensions category.
- Next to the new custom label, click on the Options button.
- The value of any page you want to open in each new tab (topic: newtab is the value default; about: home is the default home page) and make sure that "Focus in the URL bar" is not checked.

I get a blank page when I opened a new tab and would lie to get back thumbnails - HOW?
Firefox version 16.0.2
Win 7I tried the suggestions that I find on the web.
Your support page says:
'Page Firefox new tab shows photos of the sites that you visit frequently. Sometimes, all or part of these images are not displayed. We'll explain why this happens and how to get at the time where it is possible. »
No I don't get all the images at all when I open a new tab - it's empty, but I click on the following link:
https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/thumbnails-on-new-tab-page-are-missing
I click on the link for the instructions and end up here:

I click on this link: "pictures of my top sites have disappeared - how to make them return?

and here:
See the thumbnails on the new tab page is missing - how to get back them.
I click on the link for more information and end up... I had started.-Someone could be nice and explain how to get thumbnails back?
Because I refuse to use IE, but considering Opera... Please advice!I associate led to various modules of "Community Toolbar". You also have a toolbar? You may be able to configure or disable here:
Orange Firefox button or classic menu Tools > Modules > category: Extensions

My home page is google, and my browser is mozilla. But whenever I open a new tab in the browser becomes yandex.ru. I can't find where to eliminate.
You have installed perhaps inadvertently some software of malware that is the cause. If it is not clearly listed in your Firefox Add - ons, you may need to change your preferences and find and remove the software. The software problem can be listed as a program in your list of Vista operating system and it can be easy to uninstall or it may be more problematic.
