When the Thumbnail Extractor crashes, the crash destroyed the COM Surrogate process instead of explore.

  2. Select Device Manager from the list.

  5. Right click and select disable from the list.
  6. Click Yes in the dialog box that asks you if you are sure you want to disable the touch screen driver.
