How to tune the EBS R12 TEST SERVER

Hi hussein.

I have a test server with EBS R12.1 on Linux 4.6

His demo only, I want to accelerate by minimizing the SGA and the deactivation of some modules apps.
You told me about this before on 11i. How do you please on R12. I think that there is a different style to do with it.

Are there separate processes on R12.1. While I can connect a little more quickly. I want financials demo and disable the other modules.

Thank you very much

  • How to refine the configuration of Vmware server on windows host

    Hello

can someone explain how to refine the Vmware host windows server edition?

    Hello

First, you decide what you want to use the VMWARE server.

If you want to use vmware server for only to keep the plane comments at end of test system administartion, during the installation of VMware server you will need to customize your installation.

In the Customize installation disable the Modules Perl script which are used for development purposes, after installing the server, go to services & disable services unwanted, assume that you use no DHCP & NAT, then disable these services. In doing so, it will save the memory & performance increase of you host mechine.

When you create your mechine comments try to reduce unwanted devices, how to remove the floppy drive if you don't want to use in the mechine comments. like this, try to reduce the additional devices you use rarely, if you're runnin server edition comments mechines, then try to reduce you is display resolution, which will give a good performance.

  • Another application on the ebs r12 database

    Hello

I would like to know if I can create another user on the ebs r12 database.

    That's another application (not ebs).

    What are the risks?

Is there an id doc on this subject?

    Thank you.

It may not be available for that Oracle doc. But as a principle, why the unrelated database schema is created in the EBS database. This will add more load on the database of EBS, administrative effort. Let's say that your EBS database is down for maintenance, while the other application accessing this scheme does not require maintenance always, it will be down.

    People,

Hello. Because Windows 7 is not compatible must be installed to PeopleSoft PIA, I need to install VMware Server 2, and then install Windows Server 2003, which is compatible with PIA, on the virtual machine.

But when I open Windows Server 2003 on the virtual machine, Win2K3 screen is very small, and its size is of about 1/4 of the screen of my computer screen. It is not comfortable to work for a long time.

People know how to enlarge the screen of Windows Server 2003 in a virtual machine VMware Server 2 so that its size covers all of my computer screen?

    Thanks in advance!

Did you already installed the VMWare tools in your guest OS in VMWare? In general, it helps a lot to be able to redefine a larger screen definition.

Could you please elaborate a bit more on how we could use rman to clone an EBS db to vmware.
Since vmware is not have ebs or in this case installed oracle software.

If we use the quick clone IE when we can run the adpreclone on the source applications & level db or more specifically
How we could run the adcfgclone on the target since it is not have installed software ebs. Could you please develop.

    Thank you!

You must copy all applications and files nodes of level database from the source to the target servers-this is already explained/mentioned in the documents mentioned above.

This will always be the case. First care isn't always sacrosanct you have upgrade if necessary or you if you have unused production capacity you can also use it for some additional cases. Whenever you do OS upgrade and other updated same time advisers companies make their money. Part of game

    Hi Alan,

You must run AutoConfig on the database layer, and then on the application layer, even if you have a single node installation.

    The steps are:

Run AutoConfig on the database layer:

    -Login as user oracle
    -Source file of database env
    -Issue "" cd $ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/scripts /".
-Run the automatic configuration script (adautocfg.sh)

Run AutoConfig on the application tier:

    -Login as user applmgr
    -Source file env
    -Issue "cd $INST_TOP/admin/scripts.
-Run the automatic configuration script (adautocfg.sh)

  • How to send the SQL for SQL Server statement and return data without using database connectivity Kit?

Hi, I tried to figure out how to extract data from my SQL Server databases and reading messages and to do some tests with examples, I can get data connection type in my SQL server, but so far nothing helps.  Is it possible to get data from a SQL Server database without using the database connectivity Toolkit?  and if so, how?  are there whitepapers and/or examples of this?  So far, I can't find something that works.  Thank you.

Jesse - what is your reason for not using the database connectivity Toolkit? It is by far the best way to recover the data.

  • Installation of the EBS R12 - domain name?

    Hi Experts,

I try to install EBS R12 on Win 2003 server. I did all the steps of pre-installation and I have a problem to validate the pre-installation check screen. the error is in hosts/domains.
I install on my laptop, so I don't have any area to add my computer. So what field I have to give the wizard... Please help me...

    Thank you
    DK

    Hello

You don't have to join a domain. You must configure the primary DNS suffix as follows:

-Right click on desktop > properties >
-Click on the "Computer name" tab > click on 'Edit' > click on "More".
-Enter the domain name under 'DNS suffix' main of this computer

For example, if you want to use "xyz.com" as a domain name, enter "xyz.com" under "This computer's primary DNS suffix".

    -Click OK, restart the computer
-From the command prompt, make sure that you can do the following:

    C:\ > ping hostname
    C:\ > ping nomhote.nomdomaine

  • Links related to the root & local test server

Yesterday, I realized that I have to use links to the root in a SSI file included so that it would work from templates and pages in my main directory (or other directories, besides), for example, "src=/image/picture.jpg". However, as my site is PHP, in order to test the pages or even to use the Live View, I do use a server 'test '. I did it without much trouble using a package called EasyPHP, support that puts in place a local web server as well as the module PHP, MySQL, etc. It all works very well.

The problem is that, in order to support multiple web sites, I have to use a "virtual directory" spec to direct the web server to the correct location of the files in my site. In the configuration for the test server, so I have to specify a URL prefix such as 'http://localhost/corinthian' of this particular site. Which worked previously, but breaks when using the root-relative links because the server see the "root" as the main directory "localhost" instead of "localhost/Corinthian. So now my SSI does not appear correctly because it is not resolved to the appropriate directories.

I don't think it's fixable, unless someone else has run into it and can think of something I could try. Anyone? Break some of my code in a SSI was certainly more of a challenge than I expected!

    You have two options:

    1. Set up local virtual hosts.  I did and it works great!  See http://www.apptools.com for more information on how to do it.
    2. Make your root-relative links

  • How to create the TCP non-blocking server?

    Hello

I would like to have a TCP server at my request.  It will go about their business as usual, but in the background a TCP server sits waiting for a client connection.  If such a link exists, the normal code will send stuff on this topic otherwise it will just not send.  Currently, I do not see how to stop this blocking while it waits for a client (block waiting on TCP listener).  I looked at the example of client/server TCP, but it remains blocked in the same way.

I would like advice on how I'm framing such a request.  I also want to do the same on the client side.  Go about business as usual and if a connection can be established at a time given, then send stuff on that connection otherwise just not worth it.

    Concerning

    Ashley

LabVIEW parallel code usually runs in parallel. This is true even a wait - if inside a loop, you wait 100ms and other code in parallel, it is not delay execution of other code, rather he runs forward and the other code at the same time. When both have completed, the loop can proceed to the next iteration. So yes, if you have a loop with a 1000ms wait and another with an expectation of 100 ms and waits take longer to execute any parallel code in loops, then the loop of 100ms will last about 10 times as many times as the loop with the 1000ms wait.

I recommend that you put the waiting on the listener in a separate loop and also have another parallel loop that manages the communication when the connection is established. You can then use a timeout (forever) of-1 on waiting on the listener, and this loop will be almost never run or use resources except what is first of all establish a connection. To kill this loop, close the listener somewhere which depends on waiting on execution of the listener. When a new connection is established, put the link in a queue, where the communications loop can pick it up.

Yes it is possible, but you will have an application owner user and database level node files.

If you want user applmgr upgraded node files of own apps and user oracle owning the db level node files then install quick there must be run in as root.

If you want a user (applmgr and oracle) to have the apps and db level nodes files can install quick there must be running as that user.
