I got the bar of bing tools appear at the top of firefox, and I tried all the suggestions that I have found to remove it, in addition to the ways that I already knew. Nothing worked... until I looked in tools/options and found that my homepage had been changed. I just changed it back to what it was before that bing took over. Now, everything is back to normal.

  Hi I do not know if I'm in the right place or not, but this thread seems to be closest to my problem, which is the following (see picture):

  Everytime I type something in the URL (address) bar, the first options are Bing search results.

  Now, the more funny thing is, that it is the ONLY symptom that my present system as part of the Bing struck by lightning. There is no additional toolbar, no change in default search engine, no change of default home page, this is not supported my new tabs; He is not anywhere among the modules etc (I guess you would say I'm lucky for that, but "just ignore it" is certainly not the answer I'm looking for.)

  I tried on different solutions 8-10 posted on various forums, but nothing helped. I did the thing "manage search engines"; I looked around the Add - ons & Extensions for anything remotely suspicious; I tried the key word. Solution URL; I went to the System32 folder to change the hosts file (hell, I don't even know what it is). I even reinstalled Firefox from the Mozilla homepage (!), and nothing happened.

  I read many forums to support for how to uninstall the yahoo toolbar. Some suggested it uncheck the menu 'options', who is hiding, but does not remove it permanently (which I did). However, when I do that, the "Extensions" menu is empty. I can't scroll down and find it because there is nothing there.

  Hello, this sounds like the files in your profile folder that store the information on your extensions has been corrupted. Please go to firefox > help > troubleshooting information > profile - display folder... then windows Explorer should open your profile folder. there looking for files named extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite, extensions.sqlite - journal (and in some cases also extensions.txt, extensions.rdf). delete or rename the files and quit firefox, they will be regenerated the next time you start firefox.

  Only the version of HP of the Bing toolbar has the button print. In order to get the smart printing, please uninstall your current Bing bar by using the Add/Remove program in the control panel. Then, return to http://www.hp.com/go/smartprint and follow the Setup instructions for the bing toolbar.

  You can also try to re-enable an add-on

  (c) under Show, click all add-ons.

  (d) click the add-on you want to enable and then click enable. (Check if the Bing toolbar is mentioned in the list)

  Well you must say what is the error, but if this toolbar is located on your browser then you will need to close your browser and any other programs before uninstalling. Try to uninstall a program, while the program is running can cause an error.

  Even better would be to restart your system completely and the first thing to do when starting is to uninstall this program.
