  I need to uninstall Messenger. When I installed MSN and clicking 'custom installation' I hope I have the opportunity to choose, but they DO you have messenger. WHY?

  I'm using Vista, but I do not think the court proceedings is any different.

  Go to programs and features > do you think Windows live Messenger or Windows Live Essentials from the list?

  If you see the Windows Live Essentials > right click > click on uninstall > watch the screen, it will ask you which program you want to uninstall > select Windows Live messenger. For the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.

  Can't find Windows Live Messenger icon in the startup under Windows Live programs. Live Communicator start I tried and it says install Live Messenger. Try to re-insalling Windows Live and Messenger is installed, it shows. Find the folder Messenger Live folder but cannot find an executable file of Messenger inside.
