  I don't think that either will work. the start will be more, but I think that you will lose your bearings.  Once you really want to start over, you can have little to lose by trying.

  I think your best shot is to export first you have, but clear audio (to check).  Save it with the name of your m2v in yet (the original yet I hope).  I don't know the State of the audio file, but as it was not changed, you should be good to go.  When you switch to still, it should be updated.  If it is shorter, you have to adapt the timeline again.

  the iRTF_SOC of rich text field is updated correctly. the rest of the changes does not appear until the screen is created again.
