Question sudden 420 Officejet printhead

I bought a new HP Officejet 4620 a little over a year ago so the warranty has expired. I don't print much, but make sure that I keep an eye on things. Got an ink low message, check the levels & replaced with a new cartridge 564XL black. "Then I got the oxc19a0022 message indicating' problem with the printer or ink system, tour, then top & if the problem persists call HP." Its a hard print head so I replaced the rest of the cartridges with new ones after cleaning all the best I could. When I look at my cell phone, I see the message as "the print head seems to be missing, not detected, installed, or incompatible."

I noticed a small puddle of black ink down the inside right of the printer while the print head has been postponed.

Anyone has an idea how I can fix this short clamping it and buying a new one? I have ALWAYS used HP printers and they lasted and was used a lot more than this one. I have recently retired and cannot afford to buy a new one, at the moment.

Thank you for visiting the Forums from the HP Support! I see that you run in some points of the printhead with your HP Officejet 4620, you get a "problem with the printer or ink system, tour, then top & if the problem persists call HP. You have replaced the cartridges but still get the error message, you also noticed a small puddle of black ink inside the 4620 JO.

My first recommendation is to complete the steps listed here: "Problem with print head", "printer failure,' 'Ink system failure', or '0 x.' r 'C2 '.... "Control panel displays error on the printer

My second suggestion is to contact HP, it is a hardware problem. Because you just bought cartridges they would still be in warranty.

  • Significance of the 'End of warranty' date on the Officejet printhead?

    I just bought a couple of HP 940 Officejet printheads via an online retailer.

    It indicates an 'end of warranty' date of July 2013.     The other shows "warranty ends" Jan 2012 (IE next month).

    I contacted the dealer as out of date, I was also unhappy that the print head was sent without a standard cardboard packaging.  Just the printhead in its tray plastic with the seal of white paper in place.

    The retailer said that the HP warranty "for the 18 months after the date on the box.

    I observed that on the box outside cardboar4d, thyere is only the date, while on the white sheet, it has the same date but includes the words "guarantee ends."

    My questions:

    -with an 'end of warranty' date Jan 2012, this means that it is an 'old' print head and that maybe it's not good to use, or may not give a full life?  for example, as an expiry date?

    -What is the significance of the date on the box and the phrase "warrany ends" on the sheet-seal on the plastic tray holding the print head?

    The warranty on the box (or in this case paper) date is the last date where HP will cover the accessory as under warranty. In this case, there is no guarantee of 18 months after that date.

    The element can work perfectly for a while after the date, but it is not covered by the warranty if a problem should arise.

    The greater longevity of your supplies, you choose an item with an end of warranty date as far in the future.

  • Question of ink Officejet 7612 picture

    I recently bought an Officejet 7612 to replace a 7310 who died.  I was very impressed by the ability of the 7310 to print photos, however, he used a special photo cartridge to replace the black ink cartridge to get the best quality photos of this printer (even if it is true, he did do a decent job with just black and tricolor cartridges normal installed).  I don't see a photo cartridge similar to printing of photos available for the 7612.  The two test photos of the 7612 I printed came out rather well, unfortunately, I can not print them off the 7310 for comparing the quality of the photos.

    My question is, is there an ink cartridge for the 7612?  HP finished far who with their printers today because they can print photos without the special photo cartridge?

  • OfficeJet 570: Question of scanning Officejet 5740

    I have problems with scanning.  I just bought this printer in February 2015.  I'm trying to figure out how I can use the document feeder to scan.  When I put the documents in the document feeder and press scan and then choose the network computer to that I want to scan, the document feeder will not feed documents on the glass.  The scans to scan (with no document on the glass) and I get an empty scan sent to the computer as a .jpg file.  I want the scans to appear as .pdf.  So, in theory, it's a 2 part question.

    1. how to scan using the document feeder?

    2. how to save the analysis to a .pdf file?

    I read your post on scan concerns you have with the help of the ADF to scan, and also to change the file format.

    You must have the full features software installed on your computer to change these settings for your computer and then launch analysis.

    AFAIK you can use only the graphics card that was shipped with the laptop. In this case, it s a 4 GB 420 nVidia.
    If you want to buy those that you should ask the agent for service Toshiba for this part.
    On the Toshiba site you can find the responsible ASP in your country.

  • OfficeJet 4630: Question of scanning OfficeJet 4630

    I used my Officejet 4630 without problem for more than a year, but today, when I try to scan, the image is very dark and has green stripes down the entire image.  Copy attached scan (photos polaroid in a ring-bound album.  The scanner glass is clean and I have tried a hard reset, but the results are the same.  Could advise you on the next steps?

    I noticed that you have a quality scan problem with printer HP Officejet 4630. I'm happy to help you!

    What happens if you try to make a copy with the printer? Copy of Documents or Photos.

    In addition, when you open the lid of the scanner during the copy/scanning process, you see a light turn on and the scanner bar move?

  • Question - Error Message - OfficeJet 4500 OSX 10.9.3 - HP Office G510g scanning

    "Scanner reported an error - an error occurred during communication with the scanner.

    I have search the internet looking for a solution and tried * several * suggestions. Were unable to analyze for a few months and I'm hopeful that you have the miracle cure. Sometimes, I connect on the side Mac and sometimes I reboot and log on the side (on my Mac) PC with Windows 7. It happens with two operating systems - the OfficeJet 4500 will not scan. I use Image Capture on the Mac partition. I use the scanning utility when using my Mac as a PC with Windows 7 HP. A couple of months, I have spent many hours (literally) with a HP technician (a couple of them!) and we couldn't do anything else than give an error message. New drivers do not help. Can you suggest something else? Thank you.

    Update! Shortly after this announcement (such as minutes), I saw an announcement on how to reset the scanner bar and that was the problem! I am now and scan and grateful for the greasy68 of the display. Feels so good to have my scanner back! Life is good.

    drivers provided. Check with HP support, their documentation online and
    drivers and ask in their forums.

    I have a couple of pre sale question on the Officejet Pro X476dw - I hope you can help me with.

    I live in Denmark (EU) and in the book loads, it says that it comes with startup ink cartridges (translated from Danish). What these specifications of starter ink contains less ink than normal cartridges don't - if so - no idea how many pages they can produce before they empty?

    As to the number of products: it says CN461A - but to some websites, it is called CN461A #A80 - is this the same printer? And what does the #A80?

    The ink cartridges have an expiration date. What happens after that date: the printer will require new cartridges before it will print anything if it can damage the printer to use ink after the expiry date - or what the print quality is affected?

    A: Yes.  It's half in full by a quarter from a new normal cartridge.  Pagecounts are all depends on a lot and what you print.

    Q: it says CN461A - but to some websites, it is called CN461A #A80

    A: the extra #A80 is probably a regional identifier.  Its basically the same printer but built with some regulation is necessary for your region as energy consumption.

    Q: the ink cartridges have an expiration date. What happens after that date

    A: the ink are deteriorating and are more likely to plug in your print heads and contacts.

    Q: the printer will require new cartridges before it will print anything

    A: not necessarily, but it is advisable to listen to your printers of warning messages

    Q: can the printer to be used after the expiry date of the ink

    R: damage, maybe not the best term.  It would cause clogs in the ink system that will require additional support.  When the hooves can not be erased then the printer may need to be replaced.

    Q: or what the quality of the print is affected?

    R: technically Yes, but the quality will be not noticeable in most cases with an outdated cartridge.  The ink won't be able to apply paper and take a nice full round, resulting in a glance more stained on a microsopic level.  Your concern should be on the maintenance of the equipment.

    Question 1
    -Pilot course that does not work is v2.0.0.1 (11 / 09 / 2007)
    -When I using the 'Value Added Package 1.5.4.64' version gets v2.0.0.3 (07 / 14 / 2009)
    -After 1 restart Windows, no longer issue.
    -After the 2nd reboot of Windows, I have the same problem with version v2.0.0.3 (disk hard could not be started...)

    Question 2
    The OfficeJet 6500 is already working on 2 other Toshiba laptops
    -Satellite M40-129 (Windows XP) ==> printer / Scanner works properly
    -Satellite L650-108 (Windows 7) ==> printer / Scanner works properly

    The driver of Toshiba 1 something to do with the scanner issue 2 that I deliver?

    Using the version preinstalled Windows from Toshiba or your own installation?
    Can you put the vendor and exact device ID? It would be useful to identify the exact device. But according to your assignment, it has something to do with the package of added value or HDD/SSD alert maybe

    Your printer, you need to contact the manufacture of the printer. This has nothing to do with Toshiba. Probably you have need new drivers or something else

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 a: 8500 a plug the USB to the PC and wireless for Mac

    Our Officejet Pro 8500 a is connected via USB to our HP Pavilion running Windows 7. This connection works well. However, I tried to connect my iMac (OS 10.10.2) to the wireless printer with no success. If I disconnect the USB from the PC, I can connect wirelessly from my Mac. My question is: the Officejet Pro 8500 a does support multiple types of connections - one by USB and the other by wireless? If so, then I would appreciate help to understand why my Mac is not the 8500.

    Other details: our wireless router is Apple Airport Extreme. The wireless connection on the printer seems to work (I can print the details of this connection). However, when I try to add the 8500 to the Mac by using add printer, the printer does not appear. (The printer is lit and shows five bars of signal strength, SSID is correct and a valid IP address).

    My Mac is connected to the wireless network.

    Any suggestions?

    I was able to solve the problem of the printer with ethernet connection to the router that provides network wireless for PC and Mac. Now two machines are able to access the printer with no problems. By connecting with an ethernet cable, connect the printer wireless has been disabled. It had to be done because the wireless radio had become unreliable. The idea was that the blue wireless light never came. Thus by connecting wired LAN, all problems are gone. Thanks to the team of Geed for help.
