  Hello, welcome.

  The process is automatic and the maximum transfer rate should be about 20 GB/HR. If the process crashes during that long of a time, it's probably because of something internal rather something you're doing wrong.
  For reference purposes, I included this link. It goes into the details of the migration from XP to Vista (and the basic steps you follow). The instructions are for migrating to Vista via the network, but you can easily follow the steps and choose a different option for your specific installation.

  For both machines, I recommend you to prepare for the transfer using the following procedure:
  1. click on START > run

  2 type "msconfig" (without the quotes) and press enter

  3. go to the "Startup" tab and uncheck all the entries displayed

  4. click on 'Apply' at the bottom right

  DO NOT RESTART YOUR COMPUTER AGAIN

  5. click on START > run

  6. Type "cmd" (without the quotes). Right-click on the result at the top of the menu START and select 'run as administrator '.

  7. type chkdsk /r and press enter

  8 allow the system to attempt disassembly of the volume

  9. allow the system to plan restarting

  10. restart your computer

  11 let checkdisk analyze the file system on your hard drive

  12. Once completed, perform the same steps on the other machine

  13. Once completed, repeat the transfer

  You can install your applications on both computers. If you try to install on a third, you are asked to disable one of the other two installs. Note that you can not use both installed at the same time however.

  You can use Lightroom or Photoshop on two computers using a single license.

  If you want to use on the third computer, you should disable any previous machines and turn it then back on the 3rd machine.

  You can also consider getting another license or subscription to your other computer.

This is so difficult for me to kiss - I can't seem to understand how to create a paragraph style in a document, in the first place, then I don't seem to be able to apply it to the rest of paragraphs in the document.  Whenever I have try this I lose the track and then I lose patience!

I'm trying to gather some my illustrations and story in a booklet for children and I need to get out to publishers (fingers crossed!) until I forget why I started to be a student in graphic design and Illustration in the first place

  I've been there. It was a long time ago, but I still remember the confusion and despair.

  First, know that you will survive and ask what was the hang up. If you are a special person, do you promise never to forget what was the hang up, then you can help others when it is time to pay back the community.

  Think about how things work without paragraph styles. When you want a paragraph to look a certain way, regardless of the software you have used to work with text, you select ("highlight") some text and look for ways to style it (check its appearance, or 'attributes' or 'features' or 'features'.) You choose a font (Helvetica, Times, etc.) weight ("BOLD", extra bold, light), a color of text, an angle (italic, Roman), the space between the lines ("leading,") space between paragraphs (space before, space after,) and so on. Without named styles, you must select each property in a menu or a list when the text is selected. The next time that you want this same paragraph look, you can recall everything you did and repeat with newly selected text, or you can copy and paste one that looks, then change the text inside.

  However, it does take long to realize that he has to be a way to save these settings and pull them up and slap them on the other selections, with a few clicks and make sure that you don't forget to do something. Creation and registration of collection of a paragraph of the property settings are called "define a style." You can always select text in a paragraph and find a menu that offers characters bold or italic in the selected text. But you can also create a character for each of these apparitions style and apply them to music. As for paragraph styles, character styles are more controllable and more useful than simply highlight and apply a property. If, you use a character style that applies "BOLD", you can change its character style definition and all the places it is used in a document will show the change.

  Here is an example which shows the usefulness of the styles of characters named:

  According to the standard style for writing guides that have been developed before computers, scientific names, the words of the foreign language in a host as the English language, the titles of the documents, movies and poems and a few other things are supposed to be italicized. With character styles, you can create and apply styles of characters for each category of text in italics. In this forum, * sapiens, The Pentagon Papers and Gone With the Wind, all look the same, but with character styles, styles, named 'scientificName', 'bookTitle', and 'filmTitle', can distinguish between texts in italics. Sometimes, you gotta be able to treat these things differently, and styles is a way to keep them organized.

  Most writing tools can create a style named for the existing sample. So, if you have customized a paragraph for your body text, you can use InDesign to set the body of the paragraph in the example chosen style.

  The items I linked to are quite detailed. I doubt that this would trigger the SPAM detection, though - that's just my opinion of many years dealing with SPAM.

  Regarding your last question, well, only you know why you would need it in the first place. It took years for people (and the email clients) even consider using HTML, fonts are another component of this discussion (ie. content vs presentation/container). Personally, I don't receive e-mails with too much formatting.

  Recently, I received the new Satellite Pro P200 HD of Getech. I asked Getech to change the XP operating system because my University will not support Vista. I was told that some features are lost with XP, such as the hot key utility and I agreed to go ahead.

  However, I was not informed that the sound is scratchy and the video will behave as if I play a scratched CD.
  It is true with windows sounds as well. I was not able to enjoy the music or video. I have all the drivers updated and the new Bios XP released recently has been updated.

  Please does anyone know someone using this model with XP as an operating system with the sound and video works properly?
  This would mean that I was sold a laptop with a defective sound equipment and should get a replacement because I had this problem from day one.

• Camileo X 100-how to use with other software?

  I have a camera video camileo x 100. Can someone tell me how to use this unit on other software rather than the CRA? Won't codec, I use vegas video 8 and I try to convert you arc soft video converter, the only problem is

  1. I don't see video without audio
  2. regardless of the profile, I chose the converter does not give me the original size I shot the video
  3. the video is really badly coded and his jumps every time I press on play or make.

  I m X 100 not owner, but I Camileo H30 is I think its predecessor and it generates AVI video files and I can use those files with each program. Image and sound are working correctly, even the camera software is not installed.

  I don t know what Vegas Video 8 program, but normally each program can handle avi files. Also check the page of manufacturing of this video program for an update.

• I'm not clear how to use the recovery CD

  I added all the space using my HDD is it comes about 12 GB, I have 27.9 GB of disk space, but my drive has only 1.80 left disk space. I made clear to solve this problem. Basket is empty, I ran disk cleanup.

  A computer expert suggested that Windows might have become confused and cannot recognize what place I save, it might be because I ran a program called Cyberscrub often. His solution is to reload Windows XP home. My laptop came with recovery discs, everything else is already loaded. I have so much I don't want to lose on my laptop. If I use the recovery discs, I will lose everything on my computer, am I better off buying Windows XP home and re-load, in which case I will not lose my job?

  Also I am not clear how to use the recovery discs, I can't find instructions on what you are doing.
  The only person who could help me went to travel and not reachable.

  It of a very simple to recover the laptop.
  Just boot from the recovery CD and follow the instructions on-screen ;)

  I put t know what version recovery CD you have, but the older one provides the standard and expert mode. In expert mode, you can choose you partition where the OS is to be installed.
  So in this case only the selected partition will be formatted!

  But have you checked the size of the HARD disk in disk management?
  Simply click on the my icon my computer and choose manage.

  Of course, you could remove the internal HARD disk and it could connect to the external USB HDD controller. Then, connect the drive HARD to the second PC and you record data on another HARD drive.
