  You can use any cable USB OTG, it's just the cable and two connectors. I use this Setup with USB keyboard. But it is more convenient to use a Bluetooth wireless mouse.

• Locked up/hang up when you use a USB modem.

  Hi all, these days I have a problem with my laptop.

  When I connect a USB modem to my laptop and surfing the internet for a while, suddenly my laptopcomputer became unusable. I tried to shut it down via power button, but instead of 'sleep', he still appeared on the screen of my last and cannot be used at all. Then, as the second best, I removed the battery charger and the power then restart.

  I tried some actions: pass my firewall to Windows Firewall, using my modem with charger unplugged, scanned my laptop for malware (my laptop has been infected before, but now is healed), register of defragting and so on, but none succeeded.

  For information, here are the products that I use:
  1 Dell Inspiron with Core 2 Duo, 2 GB of RAM and nVidia GeForce 9300 M GS 512 MB
  2 HSDPA USB mOdem Huawei E226
  3 PC Tools Firewall more
  4 Auslogics and Registry Clean Expert (register defragtors)
  5. IT IS IE 8
  6. AVG 8.5 and Ad Aware (the latter not having active Ad-Watch)

• Only local access while using the USB modem

  Hi, I have a laptop dell inspiron with Vista home premium preinstalled in it. For about 3 years I use GPRS (internet) with modem USB on it without problem. It was working fine but application stopped working 15 days before. I tired every thing from different forums but the only "Local access" message is fix... now, after trying a lot of different things I get of the internet world for 5 minutes but it goes to new local only access. But within 5 minutes no Web site is too load. I have no problem with my connection to the LAN and wireless. They both work fine(I hv tested). Its only for my nokia usb modem. I HAV tried to use GPRS to different operators, but it is givin local only access for all, and when consulted internet in all mobile phones are workign fine.  I also tried to use microsoft fix but it gave an error file not found and ignored den and ran some checks of registrey and claimed restart. But no change in connectivity.

  I n t have Qosmio F30 so that I can t test it for you, but I think it means options that you can boot from a USB stick for example. Did you check that?

  You can boot from an iso file t because you have to create a bootable media. For example a Windows Start disc or a version of Linux that you can boot from a USB key.
