How to use FIND?

I lost a lot of pictures when an external drive was given a new name and the old disk has been reformatted. I wasn't aware that there are photos on this drive and assumed all were on a data disc. Now I've reconnected all the images and MOVED to their correct folders on the data disc, to make sure that ALL have been transferred correctly I would FIND these images that have an exact address indicated by a specific drive LETTER.

The standard procedure to FIND in PSE 14 lists no LOCATION in the selection criteria that it.

Excellent question!

-There is no way to use the SEARCH menu to select a DISC.

-It would be very useful and should be added in options of the ' Find > details menu (there is already a folder name search option).

-I suggest that post you this feature request in the comment forum, where other users will be able to vote for it. https://feedback.Photoshop.com/photoshop_family

Edit: it seems easy program (a simple query of the table volume_table of the catalogue). Furthermore, having the properties of each recognized drive (including the serial number of the car) would be very useful for troubleshooting issues related to identification readers.

The current solution I've found is the same as the way to select all files in a folder WITH its subfolders.

-Rename the master folder outside the Organizer (from the Explorer/Finder)

-You run the Filnd > Missing files option

-Select all (Ctrl A) - which may take a long time.

-Add a common keyword like "E Drive"

-Close the organizer and rename the main folder of your operating system.

-On the next launch, running Find > missing files won't show any missing file and you can select your files in the new keyword.

As a general rule, all multimedia files in a disc are under the same master file as 'Images', but if they are on several files, you'll have to do the process for each individual master file in the data reader.
