  I'm using Oracle 11.g.  I have an Oracle Apex application that generates automated emails. In the Apex, the user inserts a JPG image in a rich text field. This image is stored in a CLOB field. When it's time to send emails, Apex calls a stored procedure that reads the JPG image and stores it in a local variable called l_image_clob. The procedure of sending the embedded image with the rest of the body by e-mail to a list of users. (Note: this an embedded image and it is not an attachment). It all works very well.

  Now, I try to save the JPG image content stored in the l_image_clob variable in a JPG file on the server. The server is located on a Windows 7 platform.  The following code generates a file named correctly and the size of the file is correct, but it is not readable by the system. I get the error "is not a valid bitmap file" when I try to open it with Microsoft Paint.   Edition - shows only upward on one of the 2 computers I have / use.  Any movie file I import was that if camera, animation or imported from youtube.  All formats - slight differences in size, fonts and the location.

  Hi and thanks... Videos out of my camera I'm just drag and drop to the desktop.  They are avi - cam is a Canon about a year.  Others are .mov of 3D software I use - Cinema 4 d. I save animation software in the appropriate folder.   Youtube videos are made with YOutube Video Downloader and files are for most .flv but others come too.

  All of these files open when doubleclicked and the name of the file is very large print at the bottom of the screen may be 4 seconds then fades.  I've not edited somehow - they are the first "raw" video camera or animation software.

  It is not consistent, but especially it happens only on one machine - Win 7 Pro with all the updates.

  Font book handles only the fonts that are present in one of the folders of fonts on the startup disk. It can disable these fonts, but it won't work as a custodian of the fonts installed also. I would have suggested using a symbolic link to the folder fonts on the external drive to ~/Library/Fonts, but apparently that no longer works: allow to use symlinks in ~/Library/Fonts

  You can use ALTER TABLE... MOVE. It offers a TABLESPACE clause, which allows you to choose a different tablespace as target. Refer to the documentation for your version of the database.
