How to use ibfind in a LabVIEW VI directly

This is perhaps a silly question, but I can't find anything close to answering my question.  Basically, I know how to send a "ibfind DEVn" (with n being the device bus address which is in this case 24) command with the help of some of the utilities manual control for GPIB communications and I know how to send the equivalent of the command 'ibwrt' using VISTA or other means to a VI.  I was not able to find an obvious way to use the specific command 'ibfind' in a VI himself because I want to automate this process.  With the way we have things where I work, I can not exactly try something written in c or whatever it is and, then, including.  If it is so easy to find most of the stuff I need (for example, how to make the "ibwrt"), I can't find anything for this command "ibfind".

Basically I have a scanner multi-channel matrix which does not have a microprocessor in the interface.  While the control is very simple by sending a command 'ibwrt' by specifying which channel you want and which of the two outputs, it cannot finish the negotiation of end of line entirely and so the interface must be deleted.  However, he says that he cannot accept the interrogation or the usual interface clear orders.  I don't even know if the command "ibdev" is acceptable.  I don't want to experiment too much to avoid the risk of damage to the interface.

I found an example that uses 'library function node to call' with the command 'ibdev' from the gpib - 32.dll file and I figured out how to do it to "ibfind" (although he is registered "ibfindA" and "ibfindW"), but she had a bunch of parameters such as the "ud" which was defined as a digital and I wasn't sure if send simply '24' fill the same function as "DEV24".

The only other things that I could find was:

Use the function "misc" under the GPIB palette, but none of the examples mentioned anything nearby to send a command "ibxxxx".

Use the command prompt and run the command "ibfind" and the entry as 'DEV24', but when I try just using a normal command prompt to experiment it does not recognize the command "ibfind".

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Well well, apparently once I shut everything down and started from zero 'VISA Open' tool started working for what I need without any problem so far.  I guess that maybe there was trash on the interface card which was to stay and spoil everything.  If all goes well it will continue to work.

On the "Search" page, type the keyword "IMAQ" or "IMAQdx" (depending on your device) and look at the examples that come with the Acquisition of the Vision for LabVIEW.

    The node of the formula as its name suggests is to facilitate the access of the algebraic formulas in text form and uses a C like syntax, but is in no way a fully featured parser/compiler. It supports only a subset of the syntax of C for obvious reasons. Why would you need to implement entire code C in LabVIEW for LabVIEW program supports the same functions and to do it with LabVIEW nodes, you will always have better performance you can get in the formula node.

    If you have real C code you wish to call in LabVIEW you use the node form but create a DLL from it and call it via the node library call.

    What kind of bus of camera do you use? (Camera Link, GigE, FireWire, etc.).  When you buy a MAX image seems to have the grid of bayer?  Have you tried to adjust the color of bayer camera in MAX?

    There are two examples delivered with Acquisition of Vision software that indicate how to Bayer for the other NOR-IMAQ for NOR-IMAQdx decodes.  If you open finder LabVIEW example by going to help > examples find you can search enter with Bayer Decoding.vi or Grab and Bayer Decoding.vi.

    I hope that you are well today. It certainly seems that we lack in some problems with the different sources and data types of wells. LVM VI Express load you have emerged from a table of waveforms. So we would need to do a few things. First of all, we need to ignore the range of interests, and we must get the waveform data elements table.

    I have provided an example of how we can extract the waveform in position 0 of the table and then pass the array of data values to the script node Y. I have configured the entry of the data of a table 1 d Reals node (by adding an entry and then the right of entry and select choose data type.)

    If you are interested in getting the values Y and build the table like you did in the script, you need to implement a different subset of table and looping mechanism in LabVIEW code to move each item to the script individually. However, I would recommend working with the entry level instead.

    You will need to install NI-CAN, if you don't have already done.  This is the API that you can use with a 8473.  After installing, open Explorer Measurement & Automation and make sure that you can see the 8473 under your devices.

    Here is a sample VI (LabVIEW 2009) that I wrote for another developer to make the CAN communication basic tests.  You enter a package CAN as a series of hexadecimal bytes separated by spaces, and it will send it to you.  It displays every CAN packet it receives in the same format.

    Yep, use Index Array as Gerd says. Also, using the context help ( + h) and looking through the array palette will help you get an understanding of what each VI does.

    I am trying to send a LASER pulse which is controlled by the CH1 of my signal generator. This is typically a 1us pulse, followed by a variable period (of 300ns to 10us) and then another pulse LASER to 1us.

You can see the libraries supports GPIB/USB/Ethernet, so you must use one of these protocols to connect to your device, and then configure it within your own LabVIEW VI; You can reference the file 'Plug and Play' on the page driver instruments first to see how the device is controlled in LabVIEW for a sample application.
