  I didn't test it with cable SCART, but I presume that you need adapter SCART to connect to your satellite receiver. Here is the image what it looks like.

  On this map, you can connect S-video cable to transfer the picture to your Qosmio. You will find on the right side for laptop S-video PORT. For sound, you can use the audio cable (red/white) with proper adapter

  As I said I n t test it until now. In any case please check manuals s user document. Maybe, you can find some useful information.

  The Qosmio G30 is the newest device and I think you're one of the first users with this device. I have no much experience with Linux, but I think you have this problem because of the RAID driver to be installed at the beginning of the installation of the OS.

  Unfortunately Linux is not supported by Toshiba and I really don t know if Toshiba can offer a solution for this.

  If the laptop has this option, it is described in manuals s usage, but according to this document for your X 300 (PQX32E) RAID is not available. Not a word about it is here.

  On the Toshiba driver page, you will find a more recent version of the HD DVD player.
  This time it s a 3.51.06 version for Windows Vista released on 03/08/07.
  Try to update this player and the graphics card driver!

• Qosmio G30 - problem after the system recovery procedure

  I Qosmio G30 - 148 who have Windows XP MCE, trying to download some system programs crashed and make automatic restart.

  I then used a RECOVERY CD to recover my system all and followed the instructions on the CD but when finished and restart the system, a famous blue screen telling me there is a problem in my system and windows must be restarted.

  When restarting in safe mode, it is a message telling me that the system is not fully installed. Please, rerun the Setup program.

  You are right. It's a really strange problem. I don't know if you use some external devices but before you start recovery procedure please remove all connected devices.
  The fact is that this recovery image is designed for this model of laptop and the specific hardware configuration. If the BSOD occurs after the installation of the image it takes little hardware related issue.

  I don't really have any other explanation. Problem is that no one here will be able to offer an accurate diagnosis, and we can only speculate what may be the problem.

  Try to do it again to the recovery facility, but if the problem persists I fear that you need professional help.

  You won't like this, but unfortunately the digital tuner is not a musician Qosmio option.

  QosmioPlayer software is actually quite limited you really need to start Windows Media Center to get all the features of your machine which is a shame. There is always a chance toshiba can update the software of PS in time to take into account items such as the digital tuner.

  Despite this, you still have one of the best phones on the market, so I would like to concentrate on that.

  Sorry, buddy, but this is not possible.
  You can use t as the screen of the laptop as a monitor. The laptop doesn't have a video input port, there is only for video output ports. This is the reason for this.

  So if you want a HD screen for your PS3, you will have to buy a monitor only. The laptop can be used for this.

  Maybe a stupid comment, but if you can buy Qosmio G30 I presume that you can also get a used floppy disk. I did this a few times with Vista and Qosmio G30 and it works well.

  Check eBay. You will get the drive used for a few euros. Otherway tries to create CDs and if the RAID drive must travel to ODD, I didn't try because I have a FDD, but you can test it on your Qosmio.

  Dear TV, have you read what other people write here. To send the video signal to the laptop, you use VIDEO IN port. HDMI port on your laptop is probably VIDEO OUT port. Also, it cannot work.
  Read it please user manuals to see which ports are video in ports. This port allows to transfer the video signal in your laptop.

  I don't know how old is your laptop, but almost all older TVs have a separate channel that can be used if the external device is connected. Check your TV remote control. There must be a button with the symbol that looks like the right arrow that shows in the circle.
