How to view all programs currently running on Slate 21 pro

I have a slate 21 pro and cannot find a way to display all programs running at the same time, so I can stop or select one.

Every other Tablet android or phone I used has a way to do it.

Hi Bill,

Here is a link that explains how to use HP double Viewer App to interact with and manage your currently running applications.

If you prefer to use the standard method of Android, this page also provides information about how disable HP double Viewer App in settings, that will return you to the standard experience.

  • How to make "all programs" in 4 columns instead of 3

I use XP SP3 and available to the normal 3 columns for 'all programs' is overloaded. So how do we "all programs" in 4 columns instead of 3? I'm sure that there is only a tweak in the registry for this, but can't find it.

I'm not sure what you mean by "overloaded".  The "All programs" list includes additional columns as additional entries are created.

As far as I KNOW, you have two options: you can have a column that scrolls (which I find hard to believe that anyone actually wants), or you can group entries of all programs into subcategories so that there are fewer entries in the main list of all programs.

    To scroll through all programs:

    • Right-click on the Start button, and then select Properties
    • In the "Start Menu" tab, click on the button "Customize".
    • If you use the XP menu, click the Advanced tab (no advanced for the "classic Start menu" tab)
    • Select "Scroll programs" in the Start Menu items list

    All programs group in subcategories

The list of all programs is just a collection of "shortcuts" - that is, links to these programs themselves real.  These shortcuts are stored in one of two special folders:

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Menu run\programs
    C:\Documents and Settings\\Start Menu\Programs

Using Windows Explorer, you can create new subfolders in one of these two files and move there (not copy) the applicable subfolder shortcuts.  Note: you can easily open two special folders by right-clicking on the Start button and selecting "Open ' or explores]" and "open [or explore] all users."

It is clear from the description that you want to close all programs to uninstall end

First of all the notes that you should not close all programs, because many of them are programs of the system and their closure will result in the failure of the system

    1. Right-click your taskbar and click on "Task Manager" or use the combination Ctrl + Alt Delete to open the Task Manager.
    2. In the processes window, select the programs you want to close, and then click "End task" at the bottom

  • II you need VERY basic instructions on how to stop a program from running at startup, without the help of Windows Defender.

I have a Vista operating system, I use Firefox as my browser and I have MS Security Essentials, I turn off my Windows Defender.  I want to disable some programs from starting automatically, but I can't figure out how do it when I can not use this feature in Windows Defender.  I'm not at all read and write or experienced in computers or software, so PLEASE keep this in mind.  I really need advice for flush on a kindergarten, with each specific step the easiest way, so I can understand & follow him.

    Hello

Without knowing the programs you want to disable, I'll start by saying that I can't be responsible for adverse effect to the normal operation of your system.

    That said...

    • Click Start
    • Type msconfig and press enter
    • Click on the Startup tab

You will see checkboxes for programs that run at startup.

Or you can use a more comprehensive tool called autoruns...

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx

Maybe is a better way to explore the settings for the programs themselves, there is often a check box for "do not run at startup.

  • How to view all workbooks in a business district? (4i)

4I discoverer, using Office Admin and Desktop Client.

I have a user in the Admin layer such as:
Security-> assigned to the business area and the set as "Enable Administration"
Privileges-> options 'User' and 'Administration' checked

When I connect with this user to Desktop Client and go no matter what responsibility I don't see no workbooks (or only workbooks that are created/shared to the user or the selected responsibility).

It was my understanding that when a user is defined as a Business domain administrator and has all the Admin privileges they should be able to view all workbooks? I definitely see this functionality in the past, although I don't know if it's a function of 10g of Disco.

Thanks in advanced for all the answers.

I'm not sure where did you but this is not correct.
Even as a BA administrator the creator of the workbook must share with you in order to see those.

  • If the C:\winnt folder should be present on all computers that run the same WinXP Pro, SP3?

I tried to install a wireless adapter USB on my laptop, but I can't seem to get the driver from the installation CD files to load.  I have no problem loading and use of the adapter on my desktop. They are in C:\winnt\system32.  On my laptop (Dell Inspiron 700 m, running the same WinXP Pro, SP3), no there no. C:\winnt folder. This would explain why the CD with the driver files will not charge in the computer and so why the adapter won't work. Why would this file be C:\winnt... not being on my laptop using the same operating system? It would be possible that Dell to have intentionally omitted when they loaded 'their version' of XP?

Some XP system files in C:\WinNT store computers, and some store in C:\Windows .  I don't think that the difference due to the problem with your wireless network card.

The driver installation should ask Windows XP where to install the files, using the value of the environment variable SystemRoot .  Its value, click Start > all programs > Accessories > command prompt , type the following command and press enter :

    echo % SystemRoot %

That shows the Manager of devices for the network adapters?  The wireless card is installed, and it has a driver installed?  There are some unknown devices?

  • How to list all the users on the Windows 8 Pro welcome screen

I work for a small company based in the House of my boss of IT services. Because he runs the company, all the computers in the House are on a domain Active Directory (ease of management and control). Because he runs the company from his home, several of these computers are tablets/touch screens for his children, all upgraded to Windows 8 Pro.

Currently, the default behavior of Windows 8 at startup is to display the Welcome screen showing the last user who opened a session with an option to switch to another user. If "Other user" is selected, a complete login prompt appears requesting a user name and password. This is standard fair for Windows 8, especially on a domain.
He wants to do me is to find a way to allow a style of Windows XP (workgroup) Welcome screen displaying all the available avatars with user accounts, allowing so a child to click easily their user account and enter a picture password without ever seeing the on-screen keyboard.
To rephrase: we want the Windows 8 Pro welcome screen to list all the (or specific, if possible) allowing anyone of you users connect to the computer without entering a user name and only enter a password (or picture password).
I searched the web carefully and it seems that Microsoft can have deprecated this feature in an update of Windows 7 - many people shouting right lose their old welcome screen after an update. I read in the case of registry (removal of corrupt profiles and .default) hacks, security policy settings (interactive logon: do not display last user name = disabled), account policy (control userpasswords2 > uncheck: users must enter a password...) and a few other suggestions that had mixed results, which none apply to the present case , either because the settings are already in place, or because they are not available due to being on a domain.
I'm open to exploration of any kind of registry or 3rd party software hacks that can provide this functionality. Win8 default behavior is absolutely horrible for tablets - it should be easy for multiple users to connect to a device without using a screen keyboard to enter their username and password. WIN8 is halfway there with passwords of photo, but we still have to enter a user name for all, but the user recently.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Jayce Nornin,

Please be informed that he has no option to list all the users on the Windows 8 Pro welcome screen.

  • How to view all the titles that are currently not in a playlist?

    Hello world

my iTunes library has become huge in the past years. I created more than 400 playlists. Now, I'm looking for a way to show (and remove) all securities that are currently not in playlists (because obviously, I don't listen to their).

Someone at - it an idea how to do? I planned to create a smart playlist for that, but I can't think of the right criteria.

    Thanks in advance.

    Jonathan of Germany

This operation may take several, what I call, "maintenance" smart playlists  An option in the smart playlists is "not in the playlist xx".  It would be ridiculous to choose for all the playlists of 400.  I suggest you make the smart playlists that contain groups of playlists that you created for similar purposes.  Finally, you will have a more manageable number of master smart playlists that include all your playlists.  Then, create a smart playlist that has songs not in playlist xx and choose all these masters playlists
