How to view upgrade 4.6 to 5.2

Hello

I want to improve my VMware View VMware view Horizon 5.2 4.6.0 environment.

My vCenter Server (including View Composer), the connection mode and the Security Server run Windows Server 2003 R2 32 bit.

Due to the requirements of view OS 5.2 I install new Server 2008 R2 VMs for vCenter, see Security Server and connecting to the server.

My version of vCenter is 4.0 U4

I have pools with computers office linked Clone and persistent drives, this is the reason why I want to upgrade instead of creating a new environment and migrate the pools with Golden Master.

The rest of my upgrade procedure:

Install new virtual machines View (view CS and SS) 5.2 and connect these server in the environment of 4.6 view.

The login server must replicate all the information.

Delete the view 4.6 CS - and SS-server.

Upgrade to vCenter Server (install Server 2008 R2-> import 4.0 vCenter Server database and database of the composer)

This procedure is possible?

If not, what is the best way?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards

Georg

It is advisable to have all servers in a group replicated to the same version.   That being said I'd install Server 2008 in the group with the 4.6 install, allow replication to occur, remove the old servers, and then you spend the 2008 4.6 install 5.2.    I also assume that you will upgrade composer as part of the upgrade of the view so that you can test the commissioning and then move the databases to the new vCenter 2008?
