    I'd love to help on how to install my Office for Mac 2008 software on my new MacBook Pro. When I run the installation I get the error message "Setup could not install the software because there's no software to install" who says a guy from Microsoft's Support could be because I was running the disc via remote disc from my old MacBook. He added that Yosemite is the latest OS to support the 2008 Microsoft software. Does anyone know if there is a way around this?

    You may be able to create an iso from the installation disc, and then move the iso to your MacBook Pro and run it from there. RoaringApps.com said it should work in El Capitan without problem but I still do not believe their results.

    You can use Windows 10 without activating it, but you will lose many of its features. I think you may have found one of them.

    I just learned about this new model of operating system for Windows 10 in an article I read yesterday.

    Subsequently, you will need to purchase a license key and enter to activate Windows 10 as an upgrade to Windows XP.

    Windows XP does not get the free update of Windows 10.

  • How to install Office updates without using "Microsoft Update"

    Hi all

    My computer is Windows Vista Business 32-bit, SP2.

    I disabled Windows updates because the computer has installed SteadyState and SteadyState manages Windows updates every night. During the first installation of SteadyState, it disables automatic updates because it manually run them on a calendar.

    Unfortunately, this means that I'm not able to update Microsoft Office (I have computers with Office XP, Office 2003 and Office 2007). I'm able to use Windows Update in the start menu, but it only gets updates for Windows. When I click on the link to "get updates for all Microsoft products", I get an error message that the automatic updates are disabled (which is true), so I can't "Microsoft Update".

    For security reasons, I would like to update Office. I googled and found that Microsoft Update is the only official to get updates for Office (which is strange, because SteadyState is also a Microsoft Product, and yet they seem to cancel each other out).

    I created a parent Windows 7 virtual computer and installation of Office 2010 and active with a volume license key.

    After that the creation of my clones linked through automated composer pool and connection, I'm prompted to activate Office during the execution of an office program.

    I tried to configure a scheduled initially to the top task for running a cscript command to activate it.

    The command runs correctly when I run from a command prompt, but does not seem to be run directly from the Task Scheduler.

    Have you created a. MSP for your installation of Office 2010 by using Microsoft Office (setup.exe/admin) customization tool?

    Inside the customization tool, you can specify your product key MAK and under the heading "Add installations and run programs", you can add the script to activate it then install (screenshot of fixation).

    Once you create and save your. MSP file just put it in the \Updates folder and it will automatically reference the. MSP when you run setup.exe.

    This is how I do it on the model, and then users won't be prompted to activate.

    My son was running from some strange programs and the keyboard and the mouse no longer works, while VISTA wouldn't start, but Ubuntu has worked well.  The desktop version of 7 on the computer was downloaded directly from Microsoft, so I do not have an original installation disk. The original is in a file called "old windows".

    On my desk I have the desktop icons that I use to open files or programs.  For example, a desktop icon reads "Live mail".  Just click the icon and I am immediately taken to my email address.  Now, when I click on the desktop icon I get a box with the message "do you want to open or save this file.  If I click on 'open' my e-mail does not appear.  If I click on 'save' my e-mail does not appear.  If I click "Open and save" my e-mail is not displayed.  I hesitate to go back to IE8 and have asked the Geek Squad to come next week and difficulty of some problem I have.  All this happened when I installed IE9.  The only desktop icons that will open without this box are the icons for Comcast and a few others, but most of my desktop icons when I click on them in this box that I explained above.  Thanks for your help.  After the entry of the Geek Squad next week to fix all that is wrong, that I'll post a note describing what was wrong and what they fixed.
