HOW URL WSDL Web Service: Web Service call in the workflow

have a 1 step, Web service workflow: call the Web Service.  I wish I could pass a string parameter to the url of the endpoint for the parameter of the URL of the WSDL in the Web service settings dialog box as oppose to the transmission of the actual url (http://machine/some_service.svc?wsdl).

The reason is that we are moving the workflow between environments DEV, TEST, etc., we do not want to reopen the workflow in each env and update the DEV, TEST endpoint.

I tried the following without success

1. create a parameter of type String devURL

2 by default, set the value on http://machine/some_service.svc?wsdl

3 Goto service web appeal stage and set the URL of the WSDL to the /process_data/@devURL

I get the error:

java.io.FileNotFoundException: \process_data\@devURL

to org.apache.axis.wsdl.gen.Parser$ WSDLRunnable.run (Parser.java:361)

at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:595)

I don't think that the URL of the WSDL parameter can even accept a parameter as the username + password settings.

Is this possible?  OR if not, how can this be achieved?

Under the Service Web Options change 'The Option' use 'variable' instead of 'literal '. Then click the Green + and it will create a variable of type WebServiceSettingBean.

You can use a setValue before the stage of web service to set this variable.

  • The call to the Workflow background process explicit in the pl/sql code

    Hi all

We have a requirement where we need to call the "Workflow background process" explicitly in the pl/sql code.
Our wish is that we have an application that runs via a competing program, but before the end of this application we want to put that on the wait and run the 'Workflow background process"explicitly in the code itself (user must not go and run it manually).
Can someone please advice me how to do this in a PL/SQL code that is called via a concurrent program.

  • How to force updatedisplaylist in a skin called when the custom property

    Hi people,

I created a custom component based on a power switch.  In this custom component, I added a unique property, public, bindable - let's call him Fred.

I also have a custom appearance based on the skin of the ignition button.  It's basically like delivered skin, just a bit different graphics thing.  I applied the skin custom component custom button.  So far so good.  However...

When a user action, the property of Fred to change on an instance of a custom button, I need my skin customized to re - draw something.  It seems that I need function updateDisplayList of the skin to the fire.  Unfortunately, it seems that the only time where it fires when 'real' properties are changed, such as "left" or "width".  How can I get the look custom updateDisplayList when this custom property false Exchange?

PS - the custom skin can 'read' the custom of Fred fine property.  And if I put the property of Fred and then "mouse on" personalized button instance, fires updateDisplayList... too late of course, but it fires.

I read the docs, but he wrote much on updateDisplayList, or when it fires, or how to make fire.

    Thank you

    -David

One way I can think is that when you change Fred in the component, you can also call skin.invalidateDisplayList () at the same time.

Or you could have the skin listen to an event that distributes the component and trigger an invalidateDisplayList() out of that.

Maybe a nice way is to use data binding, you've already set up.  Fred is updated in the skin by an event being sent to it.  If you could have a listener for this event, you can get the display list redesigned from there.  I don't know how to do it well.

  • How to assign a screen configured messaging task in the workflow

Man of me but I can't seem to find the solution for this.

I created a whole screen for task and together the screen created a messaging for the new job template.

Then I add a task of e-mail to a request workflow, but nowhere can I find a screen parameter which defined the task of e-mail must use.  The properties of e-mail has a drop-down list for which model to use, but it has only one value: e-mail task and who uses the Standard Messaging task.

I missed a setting that allows me to decide what model/game screen it should use?

    Thank you

    .. Mick

    Hi Mick,

I guess you missed a step - you must assign the new model to a particular file type "Task - email task" (200).

    Reach

Admin-> system-> System Administration-> the Types of messages

    and assign to this model.

After that, you should be able to specify the new e-mail template in e-mail task.

  • Default method of workflow activity is not called when the Page refreshes

Basically, try to call a script function java front page of fragments of the charges.

    INSTALLATION PROGRAM:

    Jdev 12 c

TF defined with a default activity that invokes a page fragment.

The activity of default method calls a method to support bean which inturn calls the method init java script before the fragment on the page doesn't load.

This TF is in a container jsf page.

During the loading of the page containing the first activity of the method is called and js function triggers and then fragments of charges which is the desired behavior.

    PROBLEM:

When I refresh the page by pressing F5 or by running the page again on the same window of the browser activity method default IS NOT gets called which inturn will not trigger the js call.

But when I run the same page again in a different window it works and then subsequent updates or page load activity IS NOT of default method is called.

If it is not provided? The default activity is called when the workflow is updated.

  • How to find the details of the page in the workflow

    Hi all
I am very new to the workflow. I have a very basic question.
When I click on a link to workflow in EBS after that I logged in the system, need for a new page of the OFA.

I need to know which parameter in the generator of workflow we help to pass to another page by clicking on the link of workflow?

Immediate response will be appreciated. Thank you very much.

    Concerning
    Riyas

Are you referring to a link in a notification of workflow?

If Yes, then this link is an attribute of type URL display. You will need to open the workflow process in the workflow designer and check the message. You will see several attributes of the message and the (s) of TYPE URL will be the ones you want to check.

    Kind regards

  • How to set up notifications when the workflow fails?

    Hi all

new to this, so please help.

I want to receive notifications when a workflow fails for some reason any.

    I use R12 (12.0.4) on linux.

Is it possible to configure this through OAM maybe.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

When an error occurs in a workflow, usually a notification will be sent to SYSADMIN. So, yo need to log into that account to access workflow errors. If you want to confirm, for a given workflow, how it handles errors, you can open it with the workflow designer and discover who is the error process used (go through the workflow process > click right mouse > properties > Details tab > point error Type and error process). You can then open this workflow error and check who is the recipient of the notification. I hope it helps.

    Kind regards.

  • [MAF - AMPA] How the custom/override error after the failure of the asynchronous Web service call?

    Hi Experts,

I am looking for a best practice to make the error handling in the MAF.

Currently my application is using AMPA and call the REST service.

However, I would like to know how to handle this kind of error

    1. the device is not connected to the network (can we personalized it?)

    error2.png

    2. the device is connected to the network but cannot call service

    error1.png

3 and the other exceptions of the asynchronous call to the AMPA

In addition, how to mark a method call in the exception handler?

referring to this http://multikoop.blogspot.com/2014/02/adf-handling-exceptions-from_14.html in ADF tf we mark as exception handler.

    Best regards

    Hendry

    Hendry,

You have several options. It depends on how you want to handle exceptions:

-If you just want to hide the mistakes of web service end-user call, you can set the showWebServiceInvocationErrors property in the persistence - mapping.xml to false (you want to generally this set to false, by putting your application in production, the default value is true, because during development, it is more convenient to directly see the errors of appeal WS)

-If you want to display a custom error message, you can create a subclass of RestJSONPersistenceManager, register for this subclass using the property "remotePersistenceManager" in persistence - mapping.xml and override the handleInvokeRestServiceError method.

It depends also how you want to process POST/PUT/DELETE requests that fail. Do you want the AMPA runtime register this request as pending for the runtime synchronization action automatically tries to return the claim later? Or you just want to display an error message to the end-user with a text like "try again later?

  • Web Service - Call with URL and SOAP in return?

    Hello

Is it possible to call a WebService for Coldfusion with a URL like http://site/component.CFC?method=doSomething & parm = 1 and send the response returned as SOAP? Seems that I get a response from wddx when I do it this way. I know that I can create a web service object and call from Coldfusion, which is really nice because we can use the SOAP response as a query object. Is it possible to do this "invocation" from a http call?

    Thank you!

I used this approach for interacting with SWC to an Ajax call on the client, return JSON or XML of the CFC, but don't think that this approach would be ideal to return a SOAP response.

Technically, you can use this method to return a SOAP response, however, this means that your method of CFCS should generate and return the XML SOAP itself. CF automatically will do that for you as it does when you call a CFC as a Web Service.

You can call a web service to CFHTTP, but I think it's a lot more work than using CFINVOKE. There is a post of nice blog on this approach:
