How windows 10 go on a Aspire 571_p v5? I'll be able to read a DVD etc.?

I am considering windows experiences 10 devoted a 571_p v5.

Does anyone have a good sttory thereon (e.g. installation went well and windows 10 works well on this device)?

From previous posts, I see that some people have had various questions - I just wanted to know if things were going well for everyone.  I'm good in seeing that the v5 Aspire 571_p is * not * on windows 10 supported models list (gulp) http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/windows10-eligible-models?

If I install windows 10 on this device, I will be able to for example play commercial DVDs / movies etc. without having to purchase additional software from microsoft?  Or do I have reason to assume that none of the media playing software available on the device (for example, clearfiMedia) can be re-installed in windows 10 after the upgrade?

Thanks a lot for any help

That model is not on the list does not mean that it is not compatible, it is enough that Acer think it must provide new drivers. There are already compatible drivers or the model is too old for it to make sense to create new drivers. In most cases, it is the former.

Windows 10 does not natively to DVD movies. You need to add the software so that this feature to work. You don't need to buy the software from Microsoft, there are a lot of other editors, and most likely if you have a software like that already installed it will still be there after the upgrade. You can upgrade the software to the latest version before the upgrade but just to be sure.
