How would loop an animation, but only to a certain point?

Hi guys,.

I was wondering if you could give me some advice, I use the Adobe CS5 collection for almost a year now, but today is the first day I decided to give Flash Professional, one to go.

I have tried to create a looping animation in Flash Catalyst but had no chance at all (I had followed some suggestions such as using a flv like clockwork film, but nothing seems to work for some reason any), so I thought I would the right way in Flash Professional.

Up to now I understood how import images, convert to symbols, create a motion with keyframes interpolation and do animation. All this is good, but now I want the animation to jump a few seconds after the film begins and play until the end, then jump to this point again.

Basically when the animation starts, it fades in a second half or so first of all and is gone I want to that it loop around, I want this missed out fade.

Could someone give me some advice on how I could do this?

I'm really looking forward to get into Flash Pro anymore, but it left me speechless!

Thank you very much

Gareth

In the frame where you want back in a loop, you can add...

gotoAndPlay (#);

Where you replace # by the frame number or the image tag of the image that you want to return to.  Use quotation marks for the image tag, but not the chassis number.
