HP 1262-sr + Radeon 6470

My laptop is almost 3 years old, and a few months ago, I lost my radeon 6470 m in the system.

I have a windows 7 x 64, so system map only Intel HD graphics and none radeon, what am I supposed to do?

I tried to update the BIOS, update drivers - nothing has changed.

Also my South Bridge almost always 70 3 degree Celsius.

Hi @l1ght13aby

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you have difficulties with the Radeon 6470 on your system, and you tried to update the drivers and BIOS.

The device appears in Device Manager? Or is there an unknown device in the same section as the Intel HD graphics card?

If he doesn't appear at all in Device Manager, even if a unknown device n, it sounds like it went wrong. As it is a component integrated motherboard, should this Board needs to be replaced. For your reference, here is the service manual for this laptop, in it you will find the numbers for the Council if you decide to try a replacement.

The temperature you mention seems a little excessive for sustained use.  I suspect that you are already aware of the things to check, but just in case, here are a few pages on heat management. It is always possible that the prolonged excessive heat could cause damage

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the problem, that you are facing is that Microsoft provides only pilots with the most basic features and what you really need for these features in laptops is the specialized drivers written for the specific material found in laptops - and unfortunately, there is no HP Win10 laptop driver.  HP only guarantees the compatibility of Win10 for machines manufactured after August 2013. HP is not no matter what timetable indicating when, or IF, they will produce drivers for older machines.

This means that your PC is probably NEVER going to be fully functional under Win10 because the pilots is needs for all features simply do not exist!

To restore all the features, you will need to do a reset to factory using HP recovery media to its original operating system pre-installed.

  • [Incompatibility problem] Graphics Intel HD 4000 & AMD Radeon HD 7650 M

    Hey everybody,

To keep things short and simple, I have a problem with the help of my 7650M AMD Radeon HD video card.

I searched through many forums/articles and I have leared that my laptop (HP ProBook 4540) includes two video cards integrated; Graphics card Intel HD 4000 & AMD Radeon HD 7650 M (2 GB); to reduce the battery consumption. I attributed to some games to run in high-performance such as Skyrim, but simply, I find no difference. It always seems to run on 'weak' parameters and I'm sure that my card can do much better!

I have visitied the Intel site and I've updated all my drivers later, including the Intel driver. Although, when I did and after I restarted my computer, I get a message from the Catalyst Control Center saying that my AMD driver is disabled and I need to download the latest driver or enable it in Device Manager. What I did then is I visited HP website and I downloaded the 8.951.6 'last' AMD driver. Notice how I used in quotes, so drivers are quite old; almost a year to be precise!

I also tried to download the latest drivers on Radeon site, but I can not simply because I get a message saying that I have incompatible drivers!

Useful information that may or not there:

    Mobile: HP ProBook 4540 s

Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

    I appreciate all help.

    You can go there!

Download "LATER" (really late!) Intel HD and Drivers Radeon on "HP SITE.

    (1) go to the Device Manager.
    (2) to the list of graphics cards, uninstall the drivers Radeon and Intel HD.
    (3) as soon as you uninstall both drivers, your system will run on edge VGA adapter, so all the icons and the Office will take place on the resolution of 640 x 480.
    (4) now restart PC.
    (5) now install driver Intel HD that you downloaded.
    (6) restart the PC.
    (7) now, your system will work on resolving Native 1366 * 768.
    (8) now install the Radeon drivers in Express mode.
    (9) to restart the PC.
    (10) always restart the PC, go to the BIOS settings, check switchable/dynamic graphs.
    (11) now run AMDCCC.
    (12) power adapter plug. Switch to recommended power HP plan.
    (13) run your favorite game. Assignment mode it 'high performance '.
    (14) enjoy!

    I hope this helps you!

  • Impossible to change the video card Intel for radeon

    Model: vpcsc1afm

I just upgraded to windows 8 and when I go to change my video card 3000 from low power to high power AMD radeon 6470 card Intel video.  I wonder if the problem is that there is not any software for the power switch that changes computer from endurance to speed. Help, please!

I already tried this twice by making sure that the power switch has been changed for housing suitable for each drivers before installation.  The driver is also enabled in Device Manager.  I had this same problem when I tried on the bata, but I managed to solve the problem by installing the drivers.  When in the bata, it was easy to tell that the pilots were the problem because the power to speed up the computer has crashed and after reinstalling the drivers it worked fine.  Here, when applying power to the speed, nothing happens.

The VMware FAQ details the requirements for VMWare.

    http://www.VMware.com/products/player/FAQs.html

The processor and RAM already exceed requirements, so it shouldn't have a negative effect on performance. VMWare Player will not affect on real hardware. This depends on the version of Linux used because it must be enough RAM for the host (Windows 7 64-bit) operating system and the guest OS (Linux). 4 GB of RAM should be plenty for the operating systems run, but you can find some RAM intensive programs may have reduced performance. For most programs, this shouldn't be a problem.

Other virtualization technologies require virtualization is enabled in the BIOS. However, the FAQ does not mention this. If this does not work and you receive an error on activation, then enable it in the BIOS.

my hp pavilion g6 1200tx graphics i.e., intel hd graphics family and amd radeon 6470 m working too slow even games like san andreas and nfs most wanted 2012 in low mode works too slow even after installing the story official hp drivers the reason could be that drivers are almost 2 years and a half old. so it would be great if pilots could be updated but when I try to update, it installs amd radeon hd 7400 m instead of 6470 m in win 7 ultimate 64-bit. If there is any way to update these drivers so please. I would like to know that my id is [email protected]

    Hi James,

Here is the latest driver that I could find for your Radeon HD 6470 M graphics card. It was developed on 20 December 2013.

    Needed: New drivers,

-GPU: AMD RADEON 6470 m HD

Companies AMD and intel already published the new updates, but they do not work because they are not a dual GPU update configuration, they are only the settings one by one and do not work (cause the crash (blue screen) PC). So please we need the update to play new games like Crysis 3, FC3, DMC: Devil may cry, BF3, MP3, etc... Smoothly since DMC has worked with 20 fps while BF3 worked with 10 images/s and says I need an update for my GPU.

    Question:

As you can see the attached picture explains my problem.

    Additional information:

    • How it started: one evening I booted up it (at startup video card: Radeon HD 6470 M) > I did not open any file or run programs, given that I have heat at the start at least 2-3 minutes > frozen screen > restarted on its own > BSOD (attached above Image) will not go away.
    • This BSOD once and has never been resolved since it occurred.
    • I like to play games on this laptop that includes; League of Legends LoL aka, installed other than LoL I also have the call of Duty series (from "World at War" until the last present "ghosts"), Red Alert 3, Red Alert 3 Uprising and HAWKX of Tom Clancy.
    • I usually play LoL at least a total of 2-5 h. / day.
    • My laptop is properly vented / cooled. (I have my laptop PT placed on 4 cylinders, leaving her underwear and its sides free of any obstructions. It is placed in front of an electric FAN. I also use the air conditioning if I do not use the electric fan)
    • Max temperature reaches at least 75-80 degrees Celsius during the game (Normal using search, but I still do not know if its Normal)
    • Idle temperature is somewhere between 55-65 degrees Celsius.
    • Radeon HD 6470 M Graphics Card is currently disabled in the Device Manager.
    • I live in a Tropical climate, Southeast Asia (help?).
    • I have switchable graphics cards, I currently use the integrated video card (Intel HD 3000 graphics card) by disabling the Radeon 6470 m from the device via the Boot Manager on Safe MODE.

    I have...

    • Uninstalled the graphics card (Radeon 6470 m) via (Safe Mode) Device Manager, rebooted the laptop as to allow it to reinstall the video card. (> Screen blacked out > BSOD---> >()has NO WORK)
    • Cleared out and my registry using CCleaner --->>> ()has NO WORK)
    • Uninstalled the graphics card (Radeon 6470 m) through the device (Safe Mode), passed to Intel Graphics Manager, downloaded the latest drivers Radeon 6470 M by downloading the latest Catalyst drivers from AMD Web site > after completing the download and installation > laptop black screen still works because I can still hear the fan running, the capslock, touchpad, mute and wifi light switch is still sensitive. > had to force stop via a long press on the power button / > restarted > BSOD --->>>()has NO WORK)
    • Removed my battery, kept the the cell phone charger plugged in, , while in safe mode, I have disabled the Intel HD 3000 graphics card then will revive Radeon 6470 m > restart > enter screen flashed a second then blocked with a black screen (touchpad, capslock lights mute switch rocker react) > had to force reboot > BSOD. --->>> ()Did NOT WORK)

    Finally...

    • In reading many forums about this issue, I hope that it is a software and not a hardware problem cause someone says this "the answer is you start Windows in safe mode, which will kill the drivers from the mixture. If you STILL get the BSOD in safe mode, then you more than likely a hardware problem. »

(Sorry for the CAPS, I think this is very important)  My CMOS BATTERY IS DETACHED, I DON'T KNOW WHEN OR HOW it HAPPENED AND NO PROBLEM whatsoever has OCCURRED, IT IS CURRENTLY LOOSELY ONCE MORE AND I STILL DON'T KNOW not WHEN OR HOW IT is THEN THAT EVERYTHING IS IN ORDER THE SETTINGS DATE/TIME RESET OCCURRED ONCE WHEN I PUT THE BATTERY IN ITS HOUSING ORIGINAL , BUT like WHAT I SAID EARLIER HE SECONDED in some SORT AND IS STILL DETACHED BUT MY SETTING DATE/TIME IS NOT reset AT ALL (I did research that has detached/removed/off power CMOS battery would keep those type of setting to reset every time you start upward)

    • I have not yet tried to reinstall Windows 7 since it is my last resort
    • Any form of advice or suggestions are welcome
    • Ask me anything about the problem

  • HP G6 1201TX Intel Graphics Driver cannot install

I checked for an update for the graphics card Intel from my laptop.

    Mobile version: 8.882.2.0

Version of the HP support site: 8.15.10.2559

Version of the Intel Support site: 9.17.10.3347

    I use a HP G6 1201TX running Windows 7 64 bit on a processor Intel Core i5 2430M.

There is also an AMD Radeon 6470 M GPU.

The site is recommended to use the OEM support Intel driver.

But when I tried to install the driver of HP, I got an error message saying "this computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software."

    What should I do?

    Hello:

You cannot update the Intel driver when you have switchable graphics.

Setup fails because if you manage to install the updated Intel HD driver then the switchable graphics do not work.

The pilot only you can and need to install is the latest driver for AMD graphics support page and the driver of your laptop.

Who installs the AMD and Intel graphics drivers for your laptop.

  • Graphics performance significantly reduced after an update

I have a HP Pavilion g4t customizable Notebook PC with 512 MB DDR3 (TM) Radeon HD 6470 M Graphics [HDMI, VGA].

When I got the computer first, the graphics (graphics of Windows Aero and Business/Gaming) were both rated 5.3 or higher on the Windows experience index.

Since then, I think that an update (update of the BIOS?) has greatly reduced the performance up to 2.0 (Windows Aero) and 4.4 (Business/games graphics). What happened, and how can I solve the problem?

The computer is always set to use the Radeon 6470 graphic card - it is not configured to use the built-in standard charts.

Is there a BIOS setting that I can change? Or is my computer just defective and in need of a repair?

As I said a graphics driver could have updated your WEI score. This is not mandatory but the most often occurs when the most current drivers are installed. This happened to me several times as well.

In order to have the correct score of WEI each time I install display drivers that assure me that I uninstall old graphics drivers. After that, restart the computer and install the most recent which ideally is a better way to do.

I also wanted to know after you have installed the latest drivers from the HP site, WEI score window you clicked on "Re-run assessment" or update my option of partition?

If it really bothers you, I'd say he hack and change for what satisfies you . There is a guide available at the link below

  • Cannot install drivers AMD under Windows 8 (g7 1220sm pavilion)

    Hello

can anyone help? The laptop has Intel HD and Radeon 6470 M graphics.

I'm running out of ideas, why AMD for Windows 8 64-bit drivers do not install the display driver.

It installs the Manager caralyst, APP and the Intel thing, but don't know the display driver installation.

So I tried to manually select the INF file in device--> driver update manager, and it says that the driver is not compatible with the graphics card.

How it is not compatible, if it is on the HP site for my laptop model correct?

In Device Manager there is always to the graph by default card, there is no icon of the center of catalyst on right click of the mouse or anywhere else, as if nothing has been installed.

But in the Add / Remove programs can I uninstall AMD drivers, so they ARE installed, just without the display driver.

The AMD from Windows Update driver update, it goes to 7400 M in Device Manager, but after restart windows it says:

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

Also installation in Windows 7 AMD compatibility mode drivers does not work. The log shows that the graphics card is not recognized.

    In Windows 7 everything works.

    Hello, I have a Sony VAIO vpcsb15gb/b, and I upgraded (new installation) of windows 7 (x 64) of windows 8 (x 64).

I found some drivers for my model of vaio with windows 8, but I noticed that most of them are updated only...

I have problems with the video card drivers, I can't pass an endurance mode and speed (chart intel or AMD radeon 6470 M).

Another problem is that, most of the FN keys are not taken in charge more.

    So I install drivers Windows 7 x 64 before installing the x 64 Windows 8 drivers?

An additional problem is that Windows 8 x 64 says my battery is not supported in my notebook. Accused by ISB utility driver Sony problem. Only when I finished his process, I can use my pc.

    Thank you.

Most of the drivers (at least for my laptop model) and software of sony don't seens to work on windows 8, even if sony has say he does.
So, we'll need to wait for the drivers to date.
