  Thank you for your query.

  I understand that you have a problem installing your graphics drivers.  After formatting the drive and installation of the Intel graphics driver, you have a problem starting.  Did you use the Recovery Manager to format and reinstall Windows 7?

  You only need to install the driver AMD of the HP driver page because it contains the two pilots.  Please try this process:

  • Uninstall and remove two graphic drivers
  • Restart your laptop
  • Run the HP Support Assistant to help find and install the graphics drivers
  • You can also after the uninstall, remove the driver and restart, download and install just the driver AMD.

  If this problem persists, try removing both drivers and using the Recovery Manager to install the drivers:

  I tried to update my graphic drivers (Intel HD Graphics 4000, dated 26/09/2012), both with automatic programs like the Intel update manual mode of Intel and HP (although HP doesn't seem to have something more recent than I have). Available Intel drivers carry a date as recent as may 2016, but whenever I try to update or install the I get the error message "driver is not validated for this computer.  You can get the correct driver from the manufacturer of the computer.   Salko, to play the games you mentioned, you'll need a good mid-level video card.  I like XFX, BFG, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY in that order.  The main thing to check is the length of the card.  The newer cards are 10 "or more may not correspond to the expected location.  With a power supply that is at least 500W, you assign choices.

  The Antec PSU should be fine.  However, I love OCZ and Corsair PSU for a higher power clean and stable.  They are the two manufacturers PSU enthusiast/gamer.  Check Newegg for a PSU that assign customers (read) and is rated at least 4 eggs.  It is a good indicator of the quality of the product of those who use it.

  Basically, you can, with a cost, and I think that this cost can be more expensive than buying a new computer because you have to take into account:

  • New price of the card, and WHERE you can buy it because the laptop cards are not the same office maps. You can't buy any normal store,
  • Need new card system (certainly),
  • Need new system of cooling because in general more powerful card pumps out more heat (you want more powerful card don't you?).
  • May need new power supply because your current diet is not suitbale for the card. (I ordered a machine with the Nvidia card and I need to order a 90W charger at the same time, not the normal charger 65W. They rejected just my order.)
  • Cost of the work.
  • Packages a lot, a lot of aspirin.

  There is no graphics "card" in your notebook.

  The GPU is soldered to the motherboard.

  Replacing the motherboard by a likely to have better graphics not only would be very labor intensive, it cost more to buy an equivalent model with better graphics.

  Hi, I'm updating the graphics driver for my HP Pavilion Slimline s5728uk.

  My current graphics driver is: Intel G41 Express Chipset

  I tried to download my last update of the driver from the website of intel but I was unable to because apparently my PC has installed a custom computer driver manufacturer

  I downloaded the driver update .exe on the HP site as appropriate, I run the program, and after extracting the files, I'm presented with this message.

  "The update was not entirely successful. (259).

  I searched many forums and tried to reinstall the update with my disabled anti-virus (McAfee).

  No solution to my problem will be greatly appreciated.

  If you do not have a discrete video card, then try the suggestion below.

  Restart your PC. Remember that you are logged in as system administrator. Right mouse click the HP driver and select run as administrator.

  If the above fails, then try the following command from the window RUN:

  cmd

  sfc / scannow---> it will scan your critical system files and try to repair if necessary.

  The last thing to try is to uninstall the Intel driver and then start and let Windows reinstall the driver.
