  Hello, I recently spent again PC of my mother to win 8 for Win 7 64 bit. I can't either driver (Intel or AMD) crystallized under drivers available for the controller USB to work.   Update:

  While the pilot I know work is not made yet, I did some detective work and explored some other links from HP broadcom WiFi card driver files, and I found one that should work for you.

  He says that it is for HP desktop PC, they put the exact same form factor of the card wireless to a desktop PC in a laptop.

  I see not why this driver would not work, because the configuration file contains the same hardware ID you have posted.  Here's a partial copy and paste of the setup information file driver, and you can see the hardware ID you have posted is supported by this driver.

  I wish to install Windows 7 on a 500-118 Pavilion and can not find the driver for the Universal Serial Bus (USB) controller and it's why some USB ports do not work.

  Yes I realize that this operating system came with this system and there are no drivers on the HP web site for it.  Fortunately, I was able to find all the drivers except this one OEM.

  Recently downgraded to windows 8 for windows 7 ultimate, installed all the drivers except that I can't find the driver for the USB controller anywhere. Will not find the drivers automatically on the internet. I guess I have to install the chipset for PC.  Cannot download from the HP Web site because I got demoted. .  .

  After installing 7 - zip, right-click on the downloaded file and select 7 - Zip option in the list.

  Have 7-Zip extract of: and let it extract the file in the name of the folder (sp55506).

  After 7-zip created the driver folder, go to Device Manager and click on the device of USB controller requiring driver.

  Click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver.  Select her browse my computer for driver software option and find the driver 7-Zip created folder.
