HP 2000-2B80DX cannot retrieve using disks

Hello world

My mother's laptop has no more than a week. He could get past repair disk errors, even if left alone for 8 hours. I tried the reset windows option in advanced repair menu (provided with Windows 8 origin). He started the reset process, but since he was extremely slow, and I had to work the next day, I let him go during the night. I don't know what happened, but he wouldn't let me get even more in the Advanced menu options. So I ordered the HP recovery discs. Those who came Friday and I work in the evolution of the different settings in the BIOS, but I still can not the laptop to boot from the 1st cd. It says "Press any key to boot from the CD/DVD" I then press ENTER, and there just black screens up to 45 minutes. I'm not ure how BIOS must be put in place, and I don't know why he would give me this message, and then will not start. When I hit F11 at startup, it shows the HP Logo for awhile, then black screens for about 20 minutes, then I get an error page syaing there is a disk or missing device. I disconnected and then reconnected the hard drive, reinstall the RAM. It is not thing physiclly I can reach easily because of the way they have designed this notebook. Any help would be appreciated. I alos know that she's out of warranty, so I wwon was worth calling support because they want to charge me probably 5 minutes of instructions.

DST fail means hard drive his train to die and must be replaced.

    Hello

Go to BIOS (F2) and disable UEFI MSC mode and secure startup.
Then you can check again if you want to be able to boot from the external USB DVD/CD-RW drive.

To be honest I m not very well if the boot from external CD/DVD drive is supported by the BIOS. I found just the bootable devices and supported:

  • I have a computer that has Windows 2000 Pro, I can use the disk to upgrade to Windows XP with this OS?

I have a computer that has Windows 2000 Pro, I can use the disk to upgrade to Windows XP with this OS? It's

an old computer, but it works very well.  I want to switch to XP using the Windows upgrade disc. But

in the specifications it lists only 98, 98 Second and ME as an operating system you can upgrade.  Thanks John

Provided the specifications of the computer meets Windows XP you can switch from 2000 to XP. If it does not meet the specifications, you may upgrade the computer first or get a new one which is more cheaper today.

In addition, please note that you can only switch to Windows XP Professional. If it is a home edition you have then it will not work. You can refer to the link below on how to update your copy of Windows 2000 to Windows XP Pro.

  • ORA-01124: cannot retrieve the data file 1 - file is in use or recovery

I'm trying to recover the database in waiting, but it gives the error below.

ORA-00283: cool cancelled due to errors
ORA-01124: cannot retrieve the data file 1 - file is in use or recovery, the recovery is already said
    ORA-01110: data file 1: ' I:\ORACLE\QAS\SAPDATA1\SYSTEM_1\SYSTEM. DATA1'

When I checked in the alert log recovery is not started. and later I hae given ' alter database recover Cancel "and the command to meet with the threshold.

    "media recovery has not started.

It seems that the recovery was stuck between the two.
Please advise me how to kill the recovery session that is stuck. because I don't want to bounce the database pending.

    Thanks in advance.

Dataguard and MRP, you run a script before.

In a standby scripted, a session to RETRIEVE the DATABASE would an UNTIL clause (SEQUENCE up to THAT most likely). At the end of the recovery at this point (SEQUENCE #), he left and stop at the database.

In addition, the script is such that when a RECOVERY session is active, another session is not authorized to start. It can loop in pending state or go out and do it again the next scheduled interval.

Apparently your startup script is not strong enough to prevent another session of RECOVERY to start even though the first is active (or it doesn't have a good up to THAT clause and stop, exit, closing stocks)

What you have is a custom implementation of a database of pending. Without all the details of the script, the 'blocking' between sessions (to avoid a second RECOVER start when one is already running) etc... We can't really do much to help you.
Your scripts must be standing with status information. It should be possible for you to discover the 'other' sqlplus session which emanates a DATABASE to RECOVER, but not yet out (p. ex... How about a simple "ps - ef |") grep sql' and ' ps - ef | combination of grep ora"?)

  • HP DV2700 - Vista using disks fails to make the preinstallation of office software

I'm trying to help my daughter long distance.

His laptop crashed and she didn't know why and impossible to restore using disks or F11.

She is more concerned about its data and had the drive removed and placed in an external USB enclosure to access its files later.

A new HARD disk has been placed and she began to do a restore from the disks, she did years back.

Everything went along and then at the level of the office, she said that it is on part 2 to preinstallation of software

and he gave him a warning that windows cannot complete the installation.

She restarted and got a screen that said Windows installation.

She tries again to the procedure.

While that's going on, can someone tell me what could be the problem?

One of the most common causes of this problem (that I've seen) is that most new hard drives sold today are Advanced Format that triggers Vista and Windows 7 recovery discs. If she can get a disk hard no AF, it should have better luck.

Sometimes, it works to prepare a new hard drive with the utility from Cyberlink cd first. Download and save the file. Once the download is complete, place a blank cd in your drive and click on the downloaded file to create a boot cd. Start with this cd and wait until you get a green check mark indicates the hard disk is ready. Remove the cd, insert the first disc of recovery and restart the laptop.

  • Satellite A200: Cannot properly use external USB devices

I encountered a problem with my Toshiba laptop and I can't fix it, and I'm in need your help please...
The problem is that when I connect a USB portable device (an external hard drive, USB, iPod, Flash memory... etc) with more than 8 GB of memory...
It is not properly installed in the Device Manager and appears under "USB bus controllers.

But it does not say that it is an unknown device. It normally appears with his name, but he is not properly installed (it does not say that either) where it is supposed to be a camera under "imaging devices" in a specific category (hard drive under "drives"), and so on

And I can't use the unit because the HARD disk does not appear in 'My computer' and my iPod cannot be used

I would like to inform you that this problem is with all USB devices with more than 8 GB of memory.
Not a single device. I tried a lot of features to ensure that it is not a problem with the unit.

So this is a problem with my laptop and I installed Windows several times but no progress.
Thanks for your help in advance...

    Is it XP or Vista?

If its XP, make sure you have at least Service Pack 2.
This hotfix can help XP see large capacity media:
