HP 250 G4: HP 250 G4 - very slow internet

Hello

I bought HP 250 G4 laptop and when I connect to the Wi - Fi connection, it is very slow and also shows a signal low, even when near the router, where other HP computers, phone even with low antena, strong signal. I tried updating drivers by downloading the latest drivers from HP Support Center, but nothing works. Also, when I, for example, to start the video on Youtube, it is still loading and the task manager shows the use of the network generally less than 1 MB/s, very rarely it goes more than 1 Mbps, even when I have fast network.

I also used Wi - Fi (TP-LINK TL-WN422G) USB dongle, I plugged it in, the drivers installed, and it also shows signal low and slow, but a little more than 1 Mbps, so faster than integrated antena, but always very slow. Because in this place was to desktop computer using this dongle, and it was fast, so I reminded it my older laptop (HP Pavilion dv6), plugged the dongle Wi - Fi, installed the same driver, placed on the same place and I have strong signal and speed of approximately 20 MB/s without any problem. But when I plug in the 250 HP G4, then again weak and slow speed. But when I'm really close to the router (less than 2 meters), it has full signal and no problem of speed.

So there must be a problem with the laptop itself, it seems that the wifi receiver is set to low power by the laptot, because it works not on other computers of withnout any problems. Any suggestion what to do?

Thank you.

So I solved it myself, by the former driver installation...

Y at - it an option to get an installation file or something else for very slow Internet users? I use Adobe CC as a student. Well, I can download it to the University, but only on my laptop. But I also want to use it for my desktop PC! I tried to move the files from the laptop to the desktop. But it doesen't work. It starts normal downloading the application I want to install.

  • Satellite C50D-A-134 - very slow internet connection

    Hello
    In may, I bought a Saturday C50D-A-134.

From the very beginning. The internet speed is very slow - Wifi or cable.

    That's what I did:

Installed the latest drivers (LAN and Wifi)
    Installed latest Bios Update

Contact internet provider: everything is checked - no problem of provider. (my other laptop on the same network speed gets speeds up to 10 times faster. So it really isn't a provider problem.

There is no adware installed - it is not a problem of viruses (checked with several programs avast - malwarebytes etc.)

    Can someone help me

The laptop seems to be equipped with 10/100 (10 Mbits / 100Mbit) Base-TX Ethernet LAN module. T
It modulates Atheros WB335 WLan supports standards 802.11 b/g/n and supports 150Mbps.

So for me the hardware configuration seems good and to be honest I don't think that there is a hardware / driver problem

As you have pointed out the similar problem with both modules (WLAN and LAN) I recommend you to reset the router even if other devices are not affected.

By the way: what do you exactly mean by slow?
Can you give us a few values?

  • Satellite U920T/01Y - very slow internet

I just bought a U920T Satellite. It runs at very slow speeds of the internet. Speedtest shows generally between 1 and 2 Mbps I have tried other than laptops sitting next to him, I can get a speed of 18-20mbps.

Y at - it a driver update will fix this or is it a hardware failure it will take to repair?

    Hardware failure?
    I doubt

First of all, it would be interesting to know what link are you using? LAN or WLan?

Second: the laptop was connected to the power adapter or its operation with battery?

Third: internet speed depends on connection internet, server, and all the devices that share the same line so if several laptops and other devices are connected to the same router, the data rate could be lower

    Hello

I bought a new toshiba L750 and Wi - Fi connection is very slow (almost useless).

I have a sony 5 years, sitting next to him using the same wireless connection and it is much faster (pages take seconds on sony, toshiba minutes).

It must be an internet setting? I find it particularly slow in hotmail. Once loaded the pages once seem a little faster the second time, but always as fast as it should.

    any suggestion would be appreciated.

    Hey,.

This happens in Eco mode? If so, it could be caused due to saving energy characteristic of the wireless network card. You must disable management feature in Windows to energy WLAN power management. You can set the WLAN card for maximum performance.

  • Recent problem with very slow internet browsing on all browsers Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit

    Separated from this thread.

Hi all I'm having the same issues as Theresa in the thread above split. I have Vista Home Premium 32 bit service Pack 2 with all the installed updates (automatically done!).  Within 3 months, this PC at home that was formerly an excellent navigation device became very slow when you browse using IE, Firefox or Chrome. It takes 30 to 50 seconds to load any web page (Yahoo, eBay, etc.). I followed all the instructions suggested to Theresa in SafeMode by Bill Smithers. Resulted in nothing other than a few cookies and Wetherbug I killed. I also run McAfee total protection and Spybot S & D every 3 days with nothing found.

I have reset my browsers to the specifications of the factory without change.

Comcast is my internet provider high speed and my speedtest returns 65 - 75 MB/s download and 11 Mbit/s upload very regularly. I connect directly to the bridge. I had Comcast out and they swapped unity Arris of a unit of Cisco beefier but that changes nothing. Other devices on my network domestic perform very well and do not have this problem.

When I browse a site the CPU spikes up to 88% use in 45 seconds and is stable at 50% usage 1.7 GB memory.

The only thing I can infer is at this time that something happened to the operating system during automatic updates or some other setting has been changed.  I could use any help or suggestions you may have! Otherwise, I love this OS and have not had any problems. Thanks, Dhoffa

  • Very slow internet connection on Win 7 on SSD, but works very well with the OS on the HARD disk and the mode safe on SSD

Original title: network very slow connection on the current installation of Windows?

So my situation is that I have two disks (SSD and HDD) who both have a Windows installation.

Because this SSD is an I got free and is in used condition, I left my copy of Windows 7 intact on my mechanical failure of the SSD drive.

Now the question is, my internet connection is very, very poor, unless I run in safe mode, or the installation on my mechanical drive.

I use a wired connection, and our connection at home is limited to 120/10 mbit/s, while I have 5/10 at the most.

I tried to replace the LAN drivers of my motherboard (MSI FM2-A85XA-G43) using both the driver disc that was bundled with my motherboard, Device Manager and the official site of MSI, I also checked my entire system using Malwarebytes, which detected 7 threats and were abducted, nothing helps.

I also tried the DNS which did nothing either of hot flashes. Now notice what computer of my brother is also connected and works well.

Now as I type this, I discovered that my speed has suddenly got stable again out of the blue, but I'm skeptical it will remain, so I still want to ask what is / was going on here.

    Thank you for your time.

Sorry for the late response here, I've been very busy with the developments in the last days and completely focused on it.

More than a week has passed since the problem disappeared as if by magic, and so far I don't see the signs of what is going on again.

I think that the problem has passed away now, but if it arises again I will probably update this.

Thanks for all the suggestions and your time in this issue.

  • Blue screen of death now very slow internet

I get a screen blue of death for a few months now, but never really sorted due to other commitiments, and also, it would be just blue screen flash and then restart automatically. I have not configured until recently to disable automatic reboot, but my computer has collapsed recently. I got these codes from the analysis of the recovery. I presume that these are from the blue screen:

    table. MsoNormalTable {line-height: 200%; do-size: 11pt; do-family: 'Calibri', 'sans-serif' ;}}

    Error code 1000008e c0000005 parameter1, bd0b2ddd, parameter3, parameter4 00000000 b2d99bb0 parameter 2.

Often, I would get these blue screens when browsing the internet, but on occasion that it would take place when I played the games. also, my computer decided to turn every time, which is also a matter of concern. It wasn't until my most recent blue screen that my internet has slowed that crashed. videos loading takes forever and surfing the internet, everything takes more time to load up. I always defrag and have done a disc cleanup and virus scanning, but it says im clean. I do these regurly but my internet is still slow. Please help as it is very annoying. actually just trying to fill this took forever!

Are two main causes of this blue screen BIOS and video drivers - check with the system manufacturer's Site for graphics (Video) card and BIOS, then on site of the manufacturer of the device for the last video. It may be that other drivers so check there. DISABLE the auto-pilot plant as those who are older and if Windows Updates suggest a pilot just HIDE. Antivirus is another possibility.

  • Very slow Internet after windows installng 10 speed

    Hello
After accepting the free update of Microsoft for windows 10 of Windows 7 ultimate, I find that my Virgin internet runs much lower to the previous speed. I have updated my Firefox browser without result.
Any thoughts would be welcome. Removing and reinstalling Firefox would be worth trying?

    Hi scriber.
If Firefox is slow, try the following steps to remove Firefox as a problem: Firefox is slow - how to make it faster I might suggest also to call the ISP to troubleshoot compatibility problems.

  • Very slow internet download

I use Windows 7.  When I use the internet, the download speed is incredibly slow.  Several times I am downloading of information for the job and it takes so long that I just give up and close the window!  I tried so many suggestions on how to improve the speed, but nothing really works.  I'm not a computer genius, so that many of the suggestions will just above my head.  Someone would be able to help me with a step by step solution?  I would be grateful!

netsh int tcp set global chimney = disabled

  • Wmp300n - Windows 10 VERY SLOW INTERNET

I think that we need fresh drivers for this wireless adapter.

    Is that someone can help.

    Thank you

It was working properly before the Windows operating system update? If that were the case, it could be due to an incompatible driver. There is still work because the driver is generic for widows, but if you do not use a specific driver for some a BONE, it is the type of the other side, you're going to have.

If other devices can get fast internet from the computer Win 10, then the router is not at fault. You can try to change the wireless channel and test the connection. Access your router's wireless settings page. For the 2.4 GHz network, change the channel to 1, 6 or 11. If your router is capable of 5 GHz network, test 157 and 161.

If workaround still does not work. You need to wait for Linksys write the updated drivers on their website. I don't know if this model will have its driver updated. Will just have to wait and see.

I apologize is not getting back to you earlier.

When you download and install games and other you don't normally need to keep what you have downloaded in the downloads folder. Some downloads are wide to remove could free up some disk space! You need to do on a regular basis to keep on top of the problem...

The content of your video in total 414 GB file. You might look at some of them again? If this is not the case, delete those that you no longer need.

You have a lot of icons on the desktop. Take a look at these and remove those that you never use.

When you did above select Start, all programs, accessories, System Tools, cleaning disk to emptying your trash, delete temporary Internet files and other selected options. I recommend also you click Other Options, System Restore and delete all but the last system restore point. Run Disk Defragmenter.
