  There are two ways that we could get this to work, depending on your configuration. I would ask that you close the other post on the installation that you made so that others can find what was the solution, simply click "accept as a Solution.

  Option 1 - connect the printer to the network via the WPS button:

  I work on the assumption that you are running Windows 7 that you have not specified a operating system that you are running. I will give you is a called HP support document: troubleshooting your wireless network and Internet access (Windows 7). If you are not running Windows 7 just Google search "Troubleshooting your wireless network connection" and Internet and pick the one with your operating system. Now, this document should help you identify what is happening on this is the cause of your network to go down. It is not a coincidence that you lose the connection to your printer when your network goes down that it communicates on the network. Think of it as a phone line, you talk to someone to say New York, and the telephone system breaks down. It is not a problem with the person you're talking to New York, but the network which has cut off the communication.

  Now, this does not mean that a printer can't get a network, it is just unlikely. I would consider the most obvious causes such as computers on the network and even the router itself.

  If you want to identify which device is take them down to remove network devices one at a time until the problem stops and/or Exchange on to see which is causing the problem.

Now, I have what you call love at first sight bridge on my MAC and don't know what it is for! This has something to do with it? Love at first sight does not appear connected either?

  It's a real pain and I think to get rid of my printer without wire-HELP!

  In addition to the above, I noticed the following error message when I try to print:

  I.D. service: unknown

  I.W Version: unknown

  Serial number: unknown

  Driver version: 2.3.1 HP inkjet driver (why this displays when it's a Deskjet 3050 J611n?)

  I think that after turning to 'Maverick' on my Mac OS Lion, duplicate the printer as 2 showed in 'utility '.

  Hi all. Am 66 & new to computers and the forums. I'll try to be brief, but I want to describe my problem as precisely as possible. I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite C655, HP3050 j610a printer wireless, Windows 7, 32 bit OS and Google Chrome is my browser. For the past 2 years I had wireless printing problem with my Westell 7500 router. Then my ISP (Verizon) gave me a D-Link 2750 B. My laptop connected to the internet via my wireless right now, but the impression is only possible via the USB port.

  Reads the error message: "your printer could not join the wireless network - Mac address filtering can be enabled on your wireless router. (I checked & it is not). Then I printed a wireless network Test report and the header reads as follows: "your HP printer cannot find your access point. Verify that your access point is turned on. Make sure that your network (SSID) HP printer name exactly matches your network name of the access point (SSID). If they do not exactly match, run wireless network setup to set up your HP printer.   What I've tried so far: uninstall & reinstall all of the HP software (Via the website of hp), router cycle power & printer, printer reset to factory, looked inside the router & all seems OK. I did a search on Google for this problem and got more confusing and complicated explanation I was looking for... all the way to subnet masks; whatever it may be. I'm at the point now (and please correct me if I'm on the wrong way) I think I should try manually turn on the network news in the printer or get an IP printer. Neither of which I know how to do.  Is there a way to look inside my printer settings I look inside my router settings... and how?

  In my opinion, it has become much more complicated than necessary and I'm probably overlooking the obvious here. Any help would be greatly appreciated, but please respond to me as if I was in 3rd grade! (Although as a student of 3rd would probably have figured this out already)!

  Hello Moor_lady, if you are using Windows 7, you can try to reset your printer wireless.

  Go to control panel of configuration, devices, and printer and in the menu bar above, select Add a printer in the lower option, select Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer.

  There should be another window that shows all available printers to be added. See if your wireless network printer can be found. If so, select this option and continue the process.

  OK, your printer is properly connected to your router.  You don't need the USB cable.  Unplug unit.

  Now, go to start > Control Panel > printers and delete all instances of the printer.  Now let's add the instance of the network printer:

  3. Restart the Mac.
  4. Install the driver full features here: HP Deskjet full feature software and drivers - Mac OS X 10.6, OS X 10.7, OS X 10.8

  -Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
  -Right (control) click inside the box that lists your printers and select Reset Printing System.
  WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
  -Select the sign + to add again. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.
