  Have you tried to start the BIOS configuration utility and check if the built-in audio system is activated?

  My HP 620 (Windows 7), which has served me perfectly for a year and a half, refuses to turn on. It was working fine last night and I stopped it after use. This morning I tried to turn it on and only got the light battery of flashing white and orange side.

  The battery is fully charged, but in any case, this is irrelevant: she's not even with the battery removed and power connected. (Connection it makes the light above flash.) I tried to remove the battery and hold the power button for a minute without success.

  The light seems to indicate a battery issue, but it seems clear that it something more. Is it the motherboard? RAM? Is it possible for me to test it before going to a technician?

  Just set up my server EQL 6100 and r.620 (Windows Serer 2012 R2 Datacenter). I have Hyper-V configuration in the past, it will be the first on an EQL. It is a nonclustered environment. A server and an EQL. In the future (later this year), we will make another server in front to HA. The EQL occupies Raid 10.

  My questions are the following:

  1. for best practices, can we establish individual volumes for each virtual computer? Then put each VHD on the volume?

  2. is there any way to get around the limit of 2 TB for a volume?

  3. I plan give SQL its own volume. If I give SQL its volume (for example 1 to, that we're going to put a data warehouse on here), should I simply perform a default installation or should one make a smaller volume (80 GB) for the SQL o/s and join a D: (another volume, say 900 GB) for SQL?

  I would like to hear how others have configuration and successes or failures.

  You select the host NIC that guests can use for iSCSI Yes. This should be a different NIC what the host uses for iSCSI.

  If you need at least 4 NICs (NETWORK ports) network for iSCSI; 2 for the host and 2 for the guest (s).

  I would start by removing the current driver and installing the latest driver available.  (yours is 5 years old)

  Run it like that for a few hours or days - long enough to check whether the cooler temperatures make a difference.

  If so, it could be as simple as dust accumulation and inadequate cooling afterwards.

• Replacement 250 GB C: drive in Dell Optiplex GX 620 with WD 750 GB SATA drive by cloning. BIOS sees the drive, Windows XP does not work.

  I have 5 Dell Optiplex GX 620 desktop computers.  All are about 5 years old.  Had a hard drive failure so I replace the disks C: by secondary SATA disk cloning, disk 1 in the bios.  BIOS sees drive when Windows XP on two systems and not on the other three.  Have no idea why.  All rooms have all the updates of Windows and Dell. A bought WD Caviar Green drives.  WD has replaced three with Caviar Black readers and still does not work.

  Level 2 support WD had response which was to creat Acronis True Image WD Edition BACK boot CD for the windows version of the software, (that I downloaded on www.wdc.com), boot to a CD and had the disc I cloned then.  I wish only the support level 1 guy was aware of this utility.

  I can't find your audio driver on the HP support page, but I was able to locate it, which is the same engine as yours, just the latest version. According to what is listed, it supports Windows 8. Give it a shot and let me know if it works for you.

  I had installed a Crucial SSD of CT256MX100 when you use Windows 7 without properly checking the parameters of AHCI and TRIM. This seemed to be working very well and providing very high throughput, however, upgrade to Windows 10 (from one day to the next... :/) there was a significant slowdown (20 second power to 4 minutes). After having looked around for a way to remedy this, I was unable to find the option AHCI in the BIOS for my Inspiron 620. It says in the manual of the system it is an option, an idea on how to activate it? Reinstall the OS?

  I think you'll find these (which were the first latitude to support SATA) used a SATA to PATA Bridge chip - the controller is actually PATA, using a bridge to the SATA drive.  There is therefore, no AHCI option on them.

  The Dx30 models were the first with native SATA (and AHCI) support.
