HP 7520 and Mac, need to scan document to single file

I need to be able to scan a document in a single file.  I have a mac with OS X 10.9.2 and the HP scan version 4.4.1.  Help, please!  I resorted to pulling on my netbook ancient to do this, but REALLY don't want to have to do whenever I need to scan a document.  I found an article on this with a mac, but it was for earlier versions of my OS and software.  Thank you!

Hello krturpin,

I understand that you want to scan a document in a single file with your HP Photosmart 7520, your operating system is Mac 10.9.

I would like you to take a look here: how Scan: OS X v10.9, that will guide you through the analysis with or without HP software, please make sure you have the software and drivers installed later.

I hope this helps!

Thank you

  • How to merge documents scanned in a single file?

Have several pages of a legal document on paper 8.5 "x 11", I would like to scan the whole (using a HP Officejet Pro) in a single file.  Since this scanner can accept that a single page by scan, I have need to merge several analysis files (jpeg, tiff, etc.). I use Windows Fax Scan & software.

    Hi JmaninOH,

    Method 1:
if you're using a scanner with a charger of documents and Windows Fax and Scan, you can scan multiple pages into a single file of scanning to the TIFF (.tif) file format. For more information, please visit the link below

Scan a document or photo with Windows Fax and Scan:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/scan-a-document-or-photo-with-Windows-fax-and-scan

If you use Windows Fax and Scan and a flat bed scanner, you can scan multiple images to separate files probably. Not all scanners flat have this ability, so you may need to contact the manufacturer of the scanner to get a driver so that your scanner flat may offer this option.

  • How to combine multiple pages scanned in a single file?

I scanned my CV pages and currently have registered individually, but I would put them all in a single file to use when I need to attach my cv current job applications.

    Hi RaewynG

    1. What is the file format of the backup files?
2 have you saved the files to JPEG?

If you saved the files scanned in jpeg format, or in any particular image format, then you can open the files one at a time, and then copy and paste them into Microsoft word to create a single file. You can save the word in format doc or normal text file and use it accordingly.

    I hope this helps.

  • HP officejet 5610 ink and I need to scan

If my hp officejet 5610 cartridge error because they are empty I can not scan?  under windows vista. I filled OUT THE cartridges and now I can't get rid of the cartridge error.  I tried the solution that I found here to disconnect usb take cartridges to closed door unplug wait a minimum then connect to the top to replace the cartridges and close the door and reconnect the usb and it doesn't get rid of the cartridge error.

There is a document with steps to help solve the errors of the print cartridge in Officejet 5610. This document can be found here.

The error can come from cartridges reloaded, because they do not always work and can damage the printer. See the thread of Ciara_B, located here, for more information about refills.

Concerning the problem of digitization: the device does not work as a scanner/copier/fax, whenever the device is in an error state.

  • Computer, freeze, and Microsoft Security Essentials scan stop on this file each time: c:\Program HP Imaging\bin\hpqthb08.exe

My computer, one almost four years, Dell Inspiron 1454 with Windows XP Pro, continues to freeze when left to sit for a few minutes. Also, I discovered that when I run the Microsoft Security Essentials quick or full scan analyzing stops on the file HP Digital Imaging mentioned above several times.  I was wondering if this means something on the reason why the computer freezes up. Also, Windows Live Mail continually lets me know that it is "not responding." Yet once, I guess it's because of the freezing problem not Windows Live Mail is the cause. I do not know.  I made some different system using different dates restorations and who has not solved anything so far. I use the computer during a run without problem, but if I have a cup of coffee, for example, I have to restart when I return. Sometimes, the slider moves, sometimes not, but no matter the computer is unresponsive after that I took a break or just out of the blue when I try to open an e-mail or another task. I guess it's time for a Mac, but I thought I'd see if anyone has some ideas on how to solve this problem. Thank you!

    Hello, Olivia,.

This problem is probably due to an outdated HP Digital Imaging monitor. Even if you decided to switch to a Mac, the question may still popup because you have installed hpqthb08.exe.

Fortunately, there is an update that you can apply.

    SP26427. EXE

Or you can simply disable HP Digital Imaging Monitor.

  • I have a book in MS Word which is all the text (no illustrations) and I need the text in the pdf file to be 100% black for our printer. How can I do this and make sure it is?

Additional information: I use a Mac, Adobe Acrobat DC and output PDFX-1 has.

Forget the creation of PDF/X - 1a . Use the high print quality setting.

Then, in Acrobat, use the Color Conversion feature to convert the colors in the document U.S. Web Coated SWOP (v2). Make sure you do not check the Embed option to the profile. Check the options of Black to preserve and promote gray to black CMYK . Then press OK and recognize that the changes are permanent.

Save the resulting. It will be exactly what ask your editor.

  • Indesign Split document into single files

    Hello.

I am currently working on a magazine in Indesign. The customer wants that each article of the magazine provided in an individual folder (with all fonts and images used in the article, plus a PDF and an idml file in the same folder). So far so I had an Indesign document, manually that split into one Indesign file for each article, and then used the Package option for each item. Then opend every article saved as PDF, then as an idml file. As much of your time, I'm now trying to find a more effective way to do all of these steps. Any ideas?

Grateful for any help. Thank you!

  • Problems scanning with HP Photosmart 7520 and HP Deskjet 2450

I could have sworn I posted this earlier, but I can't. I have problems with scanning for computer with my 7520 and 2540. The scan of the computer does not work.  On the 7520 when I try to scan a document to your computer in PDF format, it works. When I scan in JPG format, I get errors. "The"Move Finder items"action has encountered an error" and "no connection" appears." I have two printers installed wireless and wired hard. Cable installation the "Scan to Computer" is enabled but does not work. On the wireless (Hello), it says "Scan to computer" is not enabled. Scan the small icon on the bottom of my screen does not have an option of the printer to use. This shows just the 7520. The only way I can scan almost anything with the 2540 is through the Web site. The strange thing is. I have a laptop wireless hung in the living room and I have no problem analysis to the computer with both printers. Just my office's problems. How can I fix?

A power failure may cause problems. We had a power outage yesterday in my area.

    Helen

    Hi @Helen

I'm glad to hear that they are working together again.

It seems that you may have an option "detect the separate components' selected somewhere in the settings.

Let's take a peek into the HP Scan for this feature, and if find you it clear.

I just checked a Mac I have access to and I found a setting that would do the same thing that "detect the separate elements", it is called point limits and is located in the culture section. If your article harvest limits element selected, change it to zero.

The parameter you want may depend on the Mac version you are running. If you can't find the options I identified above, let me know what version of mac you have, I'll do some additional research to find the solution!

Since we have not fixed the first problem, think about scoring the post that solved the problem like "Accept as Solution" if others in the community can find the solution easily. Thank you.

I can't wait to hear back on your part.

  • How to scan documents several pages into .pdf using Microsoft Fax and Scan in Windows 7 64 bit

I need to scan documents from several pages to .pdf files in a user's preferred directory.  I have a HP Color Laserjet 2840 Director HP Windows XP to scan documents to .pdf files. I had to move the printer/scanner on a 64-bit Windows 7 computer.  No HP Director or the HP Solution Center is supported for this printer under Windows 7 and HP Internet site recommends the use of Windows Fax and Scan.  Fax and scanning does not support scanning into .pdf analyses or several pages in any format except TIFF.  It also only allows files to be redirected to network folders and is not a browse button to select a location.  Short buying Adobe Acrobat and using a 2-step process of digitization in TIFF format and then print the TIFF to PDF file. does anyone have any suggestions?

I discovered thanks to a thread on this issue that Windows 7 does not come with the ability to scan multi-page documents, although versions previous to Windows.  I read that it takes download program Microsoft Office Document Imaging (MODI) Microsoft to scan multi-page documents.  What a pain!
