  I have a HP Scanjet 5370c running on my desktop PC with Windows XP and am planning to upgrade to Windows 7 by releasing.  However, when the software running Microsoft Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor Beta to determine the compatibility of the system, the report indicates that the 5370 Scanjet is not compatible with Windows 7.  Further investigation on the HP Web site titled "Supported in Microsoft Windows Vista Scanners" page, it seems that my scanner is not supported on Vista either.  Does this mean that my scanner which works great under XP has been made obsolete due to lack of a driver which runs under Vista or Windows 7?  I like the Scanjet 5370c better than most scanners newest I've seen, it seems a shame to throw the right equipment for lack of support drivers.

  I understand your point of view, and it's a good thing.  BUT it can cost the sale of new scanners.

  The Scanjet 400, for example, was a very popular scanner.  Do not update for Vista, HP turned its back to a large number of its customers.

  When I buy a scanner to work with Windows 7, guess what?  Because of the behavior of HP, I'll be that much less likely to buy a HP one.

  I'm probably not the only one to see things this way.

  I have a Macbook Pro (retina, 15, mid-2014), El Capitan, 10.11.3 running that I use for business and personal use.  Unfortunately, I need to send the occasional fax when working off-site.  I have a Zoom USB modem (3095) who had worked in Yosemite.  I am no longer able to use it and add / is no longer in her setting seems to be an option. See below:

  May be a corrupt .plist.

  Make a backup, preferably 2 backups on 2 separate drives.

  Quit the application.

  Go to Finder and select your user folder. With this Finder window as the windshield, select Finder/display/display options for presenting or order - J.  When the display options opens, check "show the library folder. This should make your visible user library folder in your user folder.  Select the library. Then go to Preferencescom.apple.systempreferences.plist.  Move the .plist on your desktop.

  Restart your computer, open the application and test. If it works fine, delete the plist for the office.

  If the application is the same, return the .plist where you got it, crushing the latest.

  I use two scanners high-speed NI PXI-5124. I'm running a continuous acquisition as in the attached example. I have two questions:

  (1) is it possible to make life-long using another source of trigger software INSTEAD?

  (2) depending on the answer to the first question - how to synchronize two scanners? In the attached example scanners have the same source of the clock, and they receive the same synchronization synchronization signal so the sampling rates are the same, but there is a lag of random phase each time I start the acquisition.

  I'm not able to use the camera on my R400 within Windows. The same device works great with google talk and other messengers.

  On the audit 'Scanners and cameras' in the Panel, there is no device not found, and Add a new device helps not at all. Although the 'Camera' is visible in the Device Manager list.

  I had a problem with my connection Wireless to my printer. I deleted my printer to my preferences system (Printers & Scanners dialog box) by mistake. I was able to add the printer to my Printers & Scanners using the IP address of the printer dialog. The work of connection to printer and I am able to print. However, I lost the option of detection (the Open Scan option does not appear in the Printers & Scanners dialog box). I installed a driver from Apple and I also installed a driver of HP. The driver available for my printer model appears to be a patch only.

  Recently, I installed a trial version of Tune Up Utilities 2009. During one of the scans/tune-ups, he gave me the option to display the Administrative Tools, network connections, printers & Fax and Scanners & cameras icons on my desktop. I checked ok, however, now, I think it's too crowded in my office and you want to remove them... right on the desktop, not everywhere else they are located. I tried everything I know to remove them without success. Anyone knows where is the menu option to display on the desktop so I can uncheck or choose Delete? I don't want to have to change all the .ini files or .bat to because I'm afraid I don't do it correctly and create other problems.
