HP Celeron 250 N3060 G4: The upgrade of the processor in a laptop HP G4 Celeron 250 N3060

Hello

I am trying to determine if I can improve my laptop HP G4 250 Celeron N3060 Intel i5 or i7 CPU processor. I've seen on other forums, the socket is share (G2) but I can't confirm, so determine if there is an upgrade path.

In addition, the manual does not show an option to upgrade, only a Council system option Exchange that I guess can include the CPU.

Thank you very much

Hello

It's true because you have to buy any motherboard with CPU that is welded to the noard or motherboard system. It is a very expensive upgrade.

Kind regards.

The manual seems to tell us that you can install an i7-3632QM, which is a great leap from what you have. So and if I'm trying to get a second opinion from @erico so I do not send you to a dead end. But I'm sure you can.

    Hello

Your laptop's card with Intel Dual core with UMA graphics card and the USB 3.0 version.

The high processor upgrade possible, without changing the Board of Directors is 2640M i7 dual core (HP 666173-001 part number). Not much of a performance gain.

If you want to upgrade to QuadCore i7 (i7 quad core 2860QM), you have to replace the Board of Directors. It'll be better buying a new laptop with the better than going to this costly upgrade card.

  • Can upgrade you the processor in a laptop Lenovo B570?

I got all kinds of mixed responses, so I'll ask here directly at Lenovo:

And if so, what processors are compatible with my motherboard?

  • A requirement for Firefox 5.0 is supported for SSE2. The processor in my laptop only supports SSE. I'd better not download Firefox 5.0?

    Dear Sir:

I am currently running Firefox 4.0.1 on my laptop.
    This browser works very well.

By the SSE2/SSE question mentioned above, I would like to determine whether I should download Firefox 5.0.

Please let me know if there is information that you need beyond what is included to the right.

    Thank you
    Steven Katz

If 4.0.1 works satisfactorily while Firefox 5 should not be a problem, so give it a try.

  • Is satellite Pro M70-235 - possible to upgrade the processor?

    Hello

Is it possible to upgrade of processor in this laptop (Pentium M 750-1866 MHz) Pentium M 780 2266 MHz?

    Thank you..

    Hello

Theoretically, it of possible to exchange the processor on your laptop, but nobody will be able to tell if the laptop works fine with the new processor or not.

You mustn't forget that the BIOS and motherboard is designed for the preinstalled CPU and it s not tested with another processor. Normally a newer or faster CPU produces more heat and I don t know if the Assembly of cooling on your laptop is sufficient for this.

If you still have the warranty of your laptop you will lose because Toshiba doesn't support the CPU upgrade:

  • Satellite A40 - question about upgrading the processor

If I upgrade my Satellite A40 processor with hyper-threading technology to 3 .00GHz, the problem s s don't past not my chipset for hypo threads, should I have a problem on my terms of portable?...

    Hello

If you open your notebook and do something about yourself, you will lose your warranty.

Just FYI; the processors used in laptops are connected to the motherboard using a process called TCP (tape carrier package). It is a method of permanent connection and is used in the interest of miniaturization and heat dissipation. As far as I know because of this method of connection, upgrade the CPU is not possible.

    Good luck!

  • Is satellite C855D - 13L - possible to upgrade the processor

    Hello

I created this topic to see if it is possible to update or change the processor in my laptop... I can barely work with programs that I owe to the University...

    Next to the processor, which is a * AMD APU E1 - 1200 with graphics Radeon (TM) HD (2 CPUs), _ ~ 1.4GHz_*... I remember * RAM: 6 GB * and good video card: * AMD Radeon HD 7310 (3 GB) *.

    Thanks in advance,
    Cosmin

    Hi Cosmin

The whole upgrade CPU is a little difficult.
    Let the facts:
-Is this laptop manufacturers don t s support all updated CPU and don t advice these updates.
-The fact is that laptops using special versions of BIOS modified for each series laptop and therefore different processors might be problematic due to the compatibility of the BIOS. In the worst case, your laptop would not start after upgrading CPU.
-The fact is that your laptop supports the chipset AMD Hudson A68M and ONLY AMD processors would be supported by the chipset.
-The fact is that laptop procedure disassembly is not very easy and there is a high risk of damage of the part while dismantling the unit.
-The fact is that you will NOT see large performance gain after upgrading the CPU. I recommend you replace the HARD drive with an SSD for performance gain.

Here are some facts that you should consider before considering the replacement of the CPU.

  • Satellite P15-S409: is it possible to upgrade the processor?

Hello, I have a Toshiba P15-S409 I would like to know if the CPU can be upgraded. What socket t - it support and Max speed value?.

How can I find the specifications.

    Thanks in advance.

Update CPU is always a sensitive topic with different opinions. I don't know for sure if the CPU upgrade is possible, but I know with certainty that the laptop are not extensible as desktop PCs. P15 is older laptop models and on older models of laptops, the processors used in laptops are connected to the motherboard using a process called TCP (tape carrier package). It is a method of permanent connection and is used in the interest of miniaturization and heat dissipation.

If you need more upgraded RAM maximum power and optimize the operating system preinstalled.

    Hello

I have a 1800-712 and want to upgrade the processor.

    Is this possible?
The vehicle currently has Intel Celeron 1.1 GHZ.
If it can be upgraded, until then I go there then?

I was not able to find in any threat on this model.

    Thank you
    Inge

    Hello Inge

Upgrading the CPU is not possible. The processors used in laptops are connected to the motherboard using a process called TCP (tape carrier package). It is a method of permanent connection and is used in the interest of miniaturization and heat dissipation. The only thing you can do is memory expansion. On this path of unity will be vigorously. ;-)

If you need information about the compatible memory module, please write again.

  • Satellite A300-1hp: can I change the processor?

    Hello

    I have following question:
is it possible to change the processor in this laptop?

    Thank you

    Hello

If you go through the unique son, here in the forum, you will find various discussions on similar issues of upgrading...
The point is that the CPU upgrade is still problematic on laptops because no one would be able to tell how the laptop would go after these updates.
First the BIOS is not designed for other CPUS. This could be (but doesn't have to) a compatibility issue.
Furthermore a stronger CPU always produces more heat dissipation, which leads to a higher temperature and finally to overheating...

Lastly but not least, these updates will void the warranty and to be honest, you won't see a performance gain!

So I don't see any big advantages to upgrade the processor...

  • You can change the processor on a series of 2450?

    Hello

    The processor in a 420 2450 can evolve from a P4 2.56 to say, a P4 3.6?

    Thank you

    Hello

If the processor of your laptop is not fixed mounted, you can place another P4 in your motherboard. But this makes no sense, because you can not use another module of cooling, the CPU performance should be limited. And your laptop work already at its limit. A laptop is not designed to be upgraded. There are only a few things, such as the memory or HARD drive, and they also have a limit.

    Good bye

  • Satellite 3000 - X 4: can I upgrade the processor?

    Hello

I have a pretty old (~ 5 years) S3000 - X 4 with a processor Intel Celeron 930 MHz I recently did a cleaning the radiator unit and additional and fat of the lot because the fan never seemed to stop. It has improved and now the fan especially when the processor reached somewhere around 80% usage.

The problem seems to be that he who reached very easily, so I still have the fan going all the time. I think probably a better processor could stop this, however, I'm not sure I can upgrade the processor?

Anyone know anything about this? It seems in other parts of this model is sold as a Satellite 1200, but comes with a 1.2 GHz processor.
    Thank you

    Hello

  • Satellite Pro 2100: how to upgrade the processor?

In my toshiba SP we processor 1.5 GHz depending on link . What is the best processor I can put in place of the one I have now?

What bus speed and cache size? Am I allowed to put something like 2.8 Ghz with 512 cache size and the higher speed of the bus? where is the limit?

Toshiba delivered this unit with two different processors Celeron (1.5 and 1.8 GHz). As you know the processor must be compatible with the hardware architecture and if you want to make a few upgrades that are realistic and do it with recommended CPU or tested.

Another problem is that replacement of CPU on Toshiba laptops is not always possible due to the method of connection permanent CPU called TCP (tape carrier package).
