  We have a new unit of fn1 8500 which was in place and applied flawless for a little more than a month. The device is on the network and configured for functions of scanning network (for the email, to the network folder).

  This morning all the scans are now show up looking like barcodes (see attached examples). The device worked well yesterday. There are no configuration changes, no modifications, no movement of the device. We tried analyses to aid the ADF and flat on the scanner with the same result.

  I also tried backup to FutureSmart level down to 2 without changing the result.

  For everything else, it seems fine. We can access it through the network, we have access to the web administration, etc.. We have done extensive research on the Internet and haven't found anything to match it.

  Someone at - it ideas? Or should turn us to a warranty replacement?

  

  If its warranty you need to contact HP technical support immediately. It seems that your scanner Control Board is a failure, there is also a chance, this could be the real analysis.

  I am certified on this model, but never got a call from service itself, so I couldn't tell you if or not I can get parts to fix it or just overall.

• Creating a string of bits to send through questions series VISA, complete noob here...

  I'm trying now, to browse the values I have on my collection of GUI and with these, construct a message to send through VISA.

  I have the usb-> rs232 cable and NO, and I have attached a connector, with the pins 2 and 3 tied together so that I can loopback and see the messages I send.

  I'm supposed to (from the instructions that I read on a design doc) will send a message of length of 24 bits.

  And please bear with me, I've never worked on this low a level before, nor with the serial interfaces, so I can be completely off on how I'm doing... and this is my

  first really relay with LabView for this project.

  I have some time execution of every 20ms in a loop.

  I have a structure of the event looking for user actions on my front.

  I also breast that everything in a loop, a flat sequence structure... my assumption was, every 20ms, the flat sequence structure would run, except where it is interrupted by an event... that could trigger and then continue with the flat structure...

  I have seen that the entry VISA (and read) take a string.

  So, I started the flat structure with build my string of bits/bytes outgoing... first section is coded hard and then, through the two sequences, loop it and based on the values of the controls within each cluster, I concatenate to my outgoing string... in which case, I send by the visa by the closure, and post it on the message indicator.

  It seems that I can send on only 8 bits at a time through VISA... so, I try to understand (and I wonder people with the req on this part) why they said to send such a long chain... or am I supposed to send each message of 8 bits, one at a time?

  If one bit 8 message at the same time, I wonder how I have let him know when I am finished?  I have heard and read things about start and stop bits, but I don't know where to put them.

  In addition, is the string that I'm supposed to put them together to send something waiting for data series bits/bytes? I saw a reference to a string of bytes while the research, but I Coulnd't ' t find a piece of string byte on the pallets.

  And when I run the present (a simpler example of my real application, simply to show here the parts I am trying to figure)... the message echoing again to me is:

  111000010000\n

  When if I have all the tubes with a value in them... I want to get something new like:

  1110000111111110111111110\n

  I'm also noting that messages do not seem to be transmitting every 20ms... seems only to get a message back when when I trigger an event, as the option switch on the LED.

  In any case, I'm confused, I think that, on certain basic principles and hope someone can maybe send me some links or give me some advice on where I'm wrong so seriously...

  Is my construction of the right to follow path string message?

  Is something wrong with the flow of the program... the events + flat sequence structure?

  I received this property by searching for forums and other papers OR, but I'm stuck sort of and confused I think on some concepts with read/writes...and possible VISA my flow control.

  Any suggestions and/or links GREATLY appreciated.

  Your sequence structure is not necessary.  You have a dependency on the data, as well as the structure of sequence is not really do anything for you.  Seems to me that what you want to do is to build the table of your clusters that you already own and send the table directly in a > 0? function.  It will accept berries and an array of Boolean output.  You can then use the Boolean array to the Number function to create a U8.  Do this for each of your clusters and integrate the results in a table of U8 and fixed data.  Then use the array of bytes to the string function to get a string to pass in the VISA to write it.  Without loops or the necessary structures.  Any additional manipulation you need, I recommend to the byte level.

  I did some research for digital pots we sell and the only one I found was this one. The series 5b on the modules we have created this work on this aircraft back created by Analog devices.

  Also, what are you going to use the digital pot for? If you try a current relatively low output voltages, you may want to consider a DAQ with analog outputs on this card. If you are looking for a high current, you can always implement this with a unity gain op amp boost up the power from another source.

• 49.FF09 error on 9250c the digital sender

  We have a HP Digital Sender 9250c who, on turning the power on, displays the following message:

  Turn off, then on

  We reinstalled the SATA HD cable, I got an another Ebay HD for this unit and still get the same error.
  I have also tried a cold reboot and initialize the disk without success.
  I found references where this error is a possible firmware problem but the unit won't initialize to try and upgrade the firmware... If that is still the question.
  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  The only reference I could find to this message always appears to be related to the Commission of control of copy on other models. First thing I would do is replace the memory card if it is installed. Your camera has what we call a narcotics control scanner which is the same card used on the lj4345 series. It would be the first place I'd start. If this does not work, then the trainer probably has a problem and they are very expensive.

• Digital Sender Flow 8500 fn1: impossible to disable FTP

  My organization prohibited anonymous FTP connect on our network. All HP devices we have can be disabled via the web administration or the command telnet FTP services. However the Digital Sender Flow 8500 fn1 does not seem to have an ability. The FTP service is missing from the list of network services, and the normal telnet command does not work (looking at the list of available commands shows no FTP configuration option).

  Firmware is that 3 - 2304070_439649 - futuresmart of the 20150218

  If I try to open an FTP connection to the device I can do and connect with anonymous.

  Once again:

  -No option to disable ftp web administration, service network (TFTP FTP Yes, no)

  -The normal ftp - config:0 command does not (telnet)

  -Telnet command list does not include the FTP commands

  -Forums support and Google search bring up no results apart from hundreds of sales brochures involving FTP or TFTP terminology.

  I ended up solving it via Web JetAdmin. The FTP option is HOSTS on this printer, by disabling in HOSTS the printer and then disabled the FTP service (verified by the printer network scan).

  I was actually hired with the help of HP on this issue and we were kind of going around in circles. They would tell me to disable FTP by clicking on the option in the Administration screen. I would like to send them a screenshot asking where the option was on this screen? They will send a back screen shot which showed the option. I sent an another screenshot asking again where the options was because it was not on my screen. They responded with another screenshot. It's kind of a circle of miscommunication.

  In any case, fixed it HOSTS. Everything is good.

  I have a HP 9250c Digital Sender I can't access the address of e-mail addresses of Internet project, the entire page is grayed out.  If I'm going to the Control Panel, I can send emails find and I can also access the local address book, but not IE.  Someone at - it ideas?

  I thought about it.  In case anyone else ever has this question, look in the address book on the front panel display.  There is a bad entry in there.  Remove the entry from the address book and web access interface works again.
