HP Compaq dx2200 MT

Is my dx2200 mt 32-bit or 64-bit?

Both, 32-bit and 64-bit software works?

Hello:

Here is the link for your PC quickspecs:

In my view, none of the processors that could be installed in your model are capable of running software and a 64-bit operating system, but enter the processor number is installed in the search at the top of the page box in the second link below, check to make sure that the instruction set is 64-bit.

http://h18000.www1.HP.com/products/QuickSpecs/12426_div/12426_div.html

http://Ark.Intel.com/

I wouldn't install an operating system 64-bit with less than 4 GB of system memory.  A 64 bit OS requires more memory and disk space to run a 32 bit OS only and if you don't have a 64-bit programs who really need a 64 bit OS to run, you will experience probably worse performance with an OS 64-bit and a 32-bit one.

According to the specifications, the maximum memory that can be installed in your PC is only 2 GB.

  • DX2200 - driver problem Realtek HD/MS UAA embedded.

    Hi guys,.

    I am currently recycling a DX2200, ex-business PC.

The HARD drive was abruptly released and destroyed under the Data Protection Act, so I had to install XP Pro SP3 OEM on this unit with a spare HARD drive.

Now most of this process went smoothly, almost all drivers are installed and working.

Except the sound card integrated... The provided HP drivers gives an error "Microsoft Bus driver should be loaded in your system before installing Realtek HD Audio driver!".

So I installed the "Microsoft Bus driver" (aka UUA) from the HP Web site and always get the same error.

After a google, I find that the drivers are for SP2 and outdated... So I tried the last versions of the UAA drivers and Realtek HD.

The latest drivers install... but after a reboot, the sound card is not active or even listed in Device Manager.

I can not supported by HP for this camera as I am not the original owner miles, and it is out of warranty.

But I'm just trying to stop yet another PC which would be perfect for a surfer of money go to landfill sites...

    Hello:

You need to install the MS UAA driver before installing the audio driver. Now that you have the right driver UAA MS for SP3, you can just blow the installation and try again.

But first before you install even the MS UAA driver, first install the chipset driver and restart.

Now, if you have $10 to spare and you live in the United States or the Canada, you can get a set of HP for your PC restore disks that will fix it to factory condition and no need to pull out your hair on the audio drivers.

    Here's how:

    1. Enter the part number and the serial number on the top of the computer on the Silver label. The model # is a HP Compaq dx2200, but the part number is on this tag silver under the serial No.

    2. call HP at 1-800-952-7689, option 1 (ranking in the list in the option made restore disks).

    3. provide the information asked by the representative who answers the phone. Some simply ask for the serial No., some want at the same time, or they'll want just the serial number and the type of computer (dx2200).

    4. do you have a Master Card or Visa ready for purchase. They do not take discover. You will be charged $10.00.

You will receive the discs by first class mail, or you can pay an additional $10.00 for shipping FedEx.

  • Upgrade of memory issues

    Hello

    I have HP Compaq dx2200 system and two 512 MB DDR2 Synch DRAM PC2-5300 (667 MHz) stiks Non - ECC (1 x 512 MB).

So, I decide to switch to 2 GB and I bought Kingston PC2-6400. Also, I bought two PC2-6400 1 GB stiks.

Well, but after I installed the first 2 GB is the system beeps constantly.

So I try to install two other stiks from 1 GB - the same problems!

Y at - he of the uncompatibility?

    Any help, you will enjoy!

Yes, a compatibility issue is exactly the problem you are experiencing. Plug-ins must match the original modules in all respects. They must be of the same manufacturer, same capacity and same type and speed. (Synch DRAM PC2-5300 (667 MHz) Non - ECC).

Install identical memory modules only if you want to upgrade the memory successfully and without surprises. If you can't find the identical memory modules then buying two modules of 1 GB guaranteed compatible. Remove the original 512 MB modules, put the new guarantee compatible memory modules in its place and its startup in Windows.

Source modules by searching online I did below

I want to get a FREE program to delete Trojans and would like to know, what you're suggesting? Thank you.

You can try these free programs to search for malicious software that work with your existing anti-virus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP, if you do not already have one. Windows 8 already has integrated antivirus.

  • Desktop Compaq with Windows 7 no reconnect to the internet after the awakening of the mode standby

Info on the computer: Compaq SG3-150SC desktop computer, processor is AMD Athlon (TM) II x 2 215 with 2, is 7 MHz, bios American Megatrends Inc. 6.01, 23.4.2010 SMBIOS version 2.6, RAM is 4 GB total. OS is Windows 7 64 bit edition Home premium + service pack 2.

    ON THE PROBLEM

This problem has happened recently. Once I turn on my desktop mode computer "sleep", it cannot reconnect to the Internet and I use only cable internet which computer is connected via ethernet to the cable-internet-modem/router cable. The computer seems to be able to view all available networks, but she was never able to connect to the Internet (after waking up from sleep). At the same time that the computer seems to have slowed a lot, I have no idea why, but I guess he's trying to reconnect to the internet and this process of reconnection is devouring its resources.

I had other problems with this computer during this past year the half, but will not go into great detail with them now. These problems have been losing some dll. file that was ment to display the Win 7 great/normal devices connected to the computer, and a total system crashes / freezes after having updated graphics drivers AMD ATI Radeon 3000. However these problems seem to have disappeared after Windows 7 service pack 2 update. Also, I scanned the computer several times with a well-known and apreciated overall software security, no virus or other major security problems have been found.

The only problem that seems to have the computer right now is just this question, I am trying to solve.

Any suggestions to check and make what?

    Hello:

A few suggestions, you can try...

    1. install the latest driver W7 ethernet of the Realtek RTL8105E ethernet adapter to your PC.

Download, unzip and run the application configuration of the 2nd on the Web page below.

    http://www.Realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?langid=1 & PNid = 14 & PFid = 7 & Level = 5 & Conn = 4 & DownTypeID = 3 & getdown = false

    2. go in Device Manager, expand network adapters device category.

Left click on the Realtek ethernet card.

Click the power management tab, and uncheck the box to allow windows to turn off this device to save power.

  • SPDIF out on Compaq CQ40-122AX

I have a Compaq CQ40-122AX, running VISTA home basic sp1.

There IDT High Definition Audio built in and a HDMI output. He also says that it will be an available SPDIF output using a HP/Dock. Now, I'd like to use the SPDIF output, but I am reluctant to by the docking station for £200 as advertised on amazon. In the options for the Soundsetup there is a definition available also SPDIF.

IDT HD Audio Codec driver version: 1.0.5934.0

For IDT HD Audio DEVICE driver version: 6.0.6000.16386

    Only the input/output Audio/video are:

    VGA

    HDMI

    Headphone 3.5 mm

    Microphone 3.5 mm

I had a browse autour and found that some HP models spdif output available via the Jack 3.5 mm as optics, when the adapter is plugged it activates an LED inside and that it moves the optical signal to the Toslink cable.

Adapter cable and optical at Maplin

My question is, the SPDIF is accessible on my model of laptop CQ40-122AX with this configuration without the HP docking station or could there be another way? Since there is not in there, it must be possible to access it somehow, and the docking station just seems too expensive to make sense.

    Look forward to hearing responses.

No solution is presented using computers laptops, built in the ability to use SPDIF for DD and DTS streams. The only solution that I found satisfactory is the external soundcards next via a USB port.

I use the product bought in Hong Kong, works well with XP and Vista, that's what I tried ebay. The least expensive solution to the s/PDIF output, I found. It is an optical output.

  • Compaq Presario SR1150NX: Error, disk Compaq recovery dead

Hello, I have a desktop Compaq Presario SR1150NX of 2005. Everything works well in it and we emptied dust not for long. But then, one day I went to start it it says a critical system file was missing. I'm confused at first. After half an hour, creating a USB disk only to find it didn't work, I then had to use the Windows XP Recovery Console. Then after I fixed it it still didn't start because it couldint find the file. But when I start the computer, it shows me that, if I press F10, it boots into system recovery mode. OT started and told me that I could boot into windows xp system recovery. But in the middle of this, the computer overheats and shuts down. When I tried to turn it on again it gave me a disc error AND when I boot in recoervy, it's just bluescreens. Now when I turn on the computer, it does nothing.

Is there any where where I could download a recoervy tool to open the hard drive in order to get the data on the drive and get a new drive? Or get a Windows recovery disc?

    Any help is the Apprecited!

Remove the disk from the desktop.

    Buy

    USB 2.0 for HDD SATA/IDE adapter 2.5/3.5/5.25IN drives w / adapter

    See: http://www.ncix.com/detail/usb2-0-to-sata-ide-drive-adapter-a3-17762.htm

and connect your hard disk with this adapter to a USB port on your computer.

When you connect, Windows will ask your permission to run 'check disk' ('CHKDSK') to review and fix any problem of file system.

I think that the corrupt currently-system files on the hard drive is causing startup problems you reported.

Re-connect the desktop "repaired" disk drive, and then try again.
