HP computers laptop bluescreening and gel after receiving the updates of windows April

We had a few windows updates down April 10.

These have caused general bluescreening and laptop freeze when using wireless.

We use XP on 2510p, 8460p, 8440p, 6910p and expereincing laptops all the same defect.

So far about 60 portable odd reported the fault but our estate is about 600 computers hp laptop.

It is possible that all are affected.

Manual removal updates which can be removed does not solve the problem.

System Restore does not resolve the problem in some cases and not in others.

The portable remaining, we have to rebuild.

Please tell me that someone has found a good solution to this problem.

A security update cumulative for Internet Explorer 8 for Windows XP (KB2675157)

Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 SP1 on Windows XP, Server 2003, Vista and Server 2008 for x 64 (KB2656370)

Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 on Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP x 86 (KB2656369)

Update of security for Microsoft .NET Framework 4 on XP, Server 2003, Vista, Windows 7, Server 2008 x 86 (KB2656368)

Update of security for Microsoft Office 2003 (KB2597112)

Update security for Windows XP (KB2653956)

This can be closed now.  Blue-screening has been resolved by a system restore when it is possible, via laptop rebuild where not. We believe that the gel error was caused by interfering with Symantec Endpoint 11.x windows updates as soon as we went from MS to 12.x the freeze problem when connected via the wireless stopped.

  • A system totally crashed after downloading the update of windows 7 (from VHP) reloaded vista starting the Dell restore partition and reattach the requirements. Now, how can I restart upgrade

OK, here's the deal... the Dell laptop had a recurring software validation fixed an error that I couldn't keep. I would fix it, Vista should go out and update itself and then I would reboot and bang, back right to the error again, I decided to scrap Vista and install W7. I corrected the error again once restarted in a stable Outlook, downloaded files of Windows 7 upgrade and then discovered that the netframework wasn't right, so I downloaded this solution, am to halfway through it and got a system error. HA! I'll just copy this download upgrade of the window on a USB key, hover over all my personal files on the usb drive, and reinstall Vista from the Dell partition, which I did. Then, I updated all the stuff with the Advisor to upgrade of windows, is gone in Windows 7 upgrade file I moved it to the USB and realized that this point in time, I was an asshole. What a breakthrough!  OK, now how to restart the upgrade process. I paid the money, done the downloads, message, so my hands, discussed and done all the other stuff I've done since the upgrade of Windows 3.1 (each time). Now what...

First I would contact the people who sold you download and see if they will send again free of charge - explain the problem.  I guess you still have the product key, they have sent you that shouldn't be a problem (it will work with any download the same version of Windows7).

Then run Windows7 Upgrade Advisor to see if your system can handle Windows7 or if she need for software or material removed or updgraded: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/get/upgrade-advisor.aspx.  Follow the instructions he gives as a result of the program (in fact, you should do this first - then you can deal with the download).

After that, you need to further questions in the Windows7 Forums: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7install/threads where people who specialize in the installation and upgrade to Windows7 will be more than happy to help you in the process.  This is a forum for Vista, and you need to talk to experts in Windows7.

    I hope this helps.

  • Under Vista, after doing the update of Windows, affected by the half second periodic freezes

Vista Home Premium SP2 with all updates.

For about a week now (since the last round of updates or more) my GUI everything will freeze.  The mouse stops, all text I type stops, and can contain any game I'm running.  This happens regularly (but not constantly) and co incident with the HD LED blinks on the front panel (sometimes).

When I open the Task Manager and moving to different charts, I see normal activity of the CPU to 1%-4% suddenly spike to 50% very briefly.  That's when the freeze happens.  It doesn't happen all the time however.  I see a lot of services are popping up with increased use of the processor but have not been able to establish a correlation between those to whom they are.  Most of what I see are simply "svchost" which basically can be anything.

My normal operating mode must have three elements running: Firefox, Thunderbird, and MS Live Messenger.  Individually and together, none of them appear to be involved, although I thought that maybe one, or more, can be simply "looking for things.  Even without anything going (all programs closed), I can slowly be the mouse on the screen and detect the second gel front of "catch-up".  This, I suppose, tells me that the mouse is still playing, but not moved to the screen.

Similarly, if I change a Word document, or a text file, my typing stops at the screen, but when the freeze is finished, it "catches up".  However, if I beat the exit screen more of 5 or 6 characters, they get missed completely (I'm a fast typist).

Anyone can shed some light on this?  It happens to someone else, or is it just me?

    Bill

We seem to have some confusion in terminology. The program from Sysinternals which replaces the task manager's Process Explorer. With that, I would like to keep an eye on interrupts and deferred procedure calls that would indicate a driver problem. Process Monitor gives you a trace of all the system calls that can help find what's going on just before and after the frost. You cannot set to stop on a trigger. There is another tool Sysinternals, ProcDumpTechNet.Microsoft.com/Sysinternals/dd996900,http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/dd996900 , that allows you to perform a dump when certain events occur. You then can it analyze with the debugging tools for Windows. Here's an example of it in action: http://blogs.technet.com/b/markrussinovich/archive/2010/08/24/3351213.aspx .

To cause a freeze something must either be maxing out carrots time allowing anything to pre-empt it rather than holding on to a resource which prevents anything else running. For me, the most likely cause would be a pilot.

  • IdeaPad 100 s-11IBY problems after installing the update of Windows 10 anniversary (aka version 1607)

Yesterday, my 11IBY-100 s installed update 10 birthday Windows (aka Windows 10 Version 1607). Now, it has multiple problems and is unusable.

    1. the keyboard (Yes, the built-in keyboard) does not work. None of the keys (letters, numbers, 'actions' as BACKSPACE) work not at all. If I plug in a USB wireless keyboard, it works fine. So maybe there is a problem with the device driver for the built-in keyboard with the update of the anniversary. The keyboard works perfectly until Windows Update installed upgrading birthday.

    2. the trackpad is not working. If I plug in a USB wireless mouse, it works fine. So maybe there is a problem with the device driver for the trackpad with the update of the anniversary. The trackpad has worked very well until Windows Update installed upgrading birthday.

    3. the Kingston 32 GB microSD card plugged into the microSD port is not recognized by the file Explorer. If I plug the 32GB Kingston microSD card in a USB microSD card reader and plug the card reader into a USB port, microSD storage is recognized in the file Explorer, so the microSD itself is fine. So maybe there is a problem with the device driver for the port microSD with the update of the anniversary. The microSD port works great and the micro SD card has been recognized in the file Explorer until Windows Update installed upgrading birthday.

    4. There is no audio data, Windows now indicates that no audio hardware is installed. So maybe there is a problem with the device drivers for the builtin microphone and the built-in speaker with the update of the anniversary. They worked fine until Windows Update installed upgrading birthday.

I tried to do a RESET, but unfortunately although the reset worked, it resets Windows 10 Version 1607 (aka anniversary update) not an earlier version of Windows 10 and I still have all the problems above. Far as I can see, the Windows settings now say there is no history of update and no previous version of Windows, so I can't use any method of recovery which is available on the PC itself to go to an earlier version of Windows.

Please can someone advise how to reset my PC (and where I can get the 32-bit Windows 10 appropriate ISO file or other) Windows 10 Version 1511 (i.e. before the update of the anniversary)?

Or, Alternatively, device drivers are valid for Windows 10 Version 1607 for builtin keyboard, trackpad, port, microSD, microphone and speaker available somewhere? I can't see on the Lenovo Web site.

    Ron

On the Lenovo site, in "Drivers and software" for this unit, there was a "Chipset" called driver «Intel platform driver for Windows 10 (32 bit) - Ideapad 100 s-11IBY» I downloaded and installed, then after being invited, rebooted the device. I am pleased to announce that

    the keyboard now works

    (b) the trackpad works now

    (c) the microSD card is now recognized by the file Explorer

    (d) the audio now works

  • I'm very frustrated with Windows Update after receiving the error code 80070005

After receiving the error code 80070005 for these last months.  I tried several suggested corrections but have not been able to get updates either.  My operating system is Vista Ultimate 32-Bit Windows operating system and have service pack 2 installed.  any help would be appreciated

    Hello

As I said that it is a very difficult issue to resolve.

Did you use all of these methods, including the last link to the other thread?

If you have used all then possibly an InPlace upgrade/repair Installation might
help that allows to maintain the programs and data backups although redundant
    are always a good idea.

You can use another DVD that aren't copy protected but you you need to own
Product key. It must be the same version 32 or 64 BIT Vista OEM. Also the system
machine to usually sell the cheap disk since you already own Windows. Don't forget to make a
good backup or 3 (security in redundancy).

    On-site upgrade
    http://vistasupport.MVPs.org/repair_a_vista_installation_using_the_upgrade_option_of_the_vista_dvd.htm

This tells you how to access the System Recovery Options and/or a Vista DVD

How to perform a repair for Vista Installation
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-Vista.html

    =====================================

If nothing works then, you can use BING or Google and search for all types of suggestions
many whom will be totally false.

Perhaps the best choice is a new installation. You can use copy and paste to the backup
the data on CD, DVD, or USB drives.

    I hope this helps.

  • Cannot connect to windows to receive the updates and run windows Defender

I am more able to receive windows updates or run my windows on my PC Defender. I had some malware problems that I removed, but

After you have cleaned the malware I notice my windows Defender, windows update didn't work more and my printer software has been removed.

If anyone can give some suggestions I would greatly appreciate the help and advice.

    Thank you

    Hi Byron,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I do not understand that you are unable to connect to Windows to receive the updates and run Windows Defender and I'll be happy to answer your query.

This could be due to any dispute of third party software or system files missing or corrupt. We will try the following methods and check.

Method 1: Put the computer in a clean boot state and check.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Place your system in the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must follow the steps in the article mentioned below to perform a clean boot.

How to perform a clean boot in Windows

Note: see 'How do I reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting' to reset the computer starts normally after troubleshooting.

Method 2: Run the System File Checker tool

System File Checker is a Windows utility that allows users to find corruptions in Windows system files and restore the damaged files.

Press the Windows key + X , and then click prompt (Admin)

Type the following command and press enter

    sfc/scannow

Note: Do not close the command prompt window until the audit is completed 100%. The results of the analysis will be posted when this process is complete.

From now on, try the methods above and let us know the result.

Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.
