HP Deskjet 1512: Problems scanning

I am trying to scan from my document feeder and I don't see where I can change the scanning option of scanning from the document feeder window.  I have a Windows 8 operating system, but I do not know the wick.  Can you please give me help here on this point, if this printer even has the option to choose.

Thank you

Hello

You should ask yourself: do I need a document feeder? The answer in NO, it doesn't have a document feeder, there as a feeder to the rear , and this isn't a document feeder.

Kind regards.

Your answer does not solve the problem, but he did something worse either.

I have it fixed now though it was a security issue blocking MicrosoftOffice to link to all connected devices.

  • DeskJet 1512: scanning problem

Hi, I have deskjet 1512 all-in-one printer. I have a copy in black and white button as well as a copy in kept button but can not see a scan button as I had on my old previous model?  Is it possible to scan breeds?

    Thank you

    Hello

Your pritner do not offer a scan button, so scanning should be launched from the HP software.

Click the HP Deskjet 1510 icon on your desktop or in the start menu > programs > HP > printer your template folder and press on scan a Document or Photo and the ofllow the steps on the screen to scan.

You can find more detailed information of its options in the section "scan with the HP scanning software":

  • DeskJet 1512: How to scan a document, paper or a MS Word file, using the Deskjet 1512.

I need to know how to scan a Document MS/file or print using the HP DeskJet 1512. I found no instructions on the way when the printer/Scanner/copier was purchased from Wal-Mart in Dinuba (California).

    User Guide: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03832527

Analysis means scanning a paper copy of a digital file (image or with OCR to editable doc). You analyze a word doc, as it's already digital (file).

  • HP DeskJet 1512: DeskJet 1512 Installation fails with Windows 10

I just updgaded my g7 HP Pavillion from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and I can not get my DeskJet 1512 to work.  I went to the HP site to shoot down the latest drivers from my drive for installtion of origin has no Windows 10 drivers on it.  Driver downloads, but the installation fails with the message: "the an installer for this device cannot perform the installation at this time."  I have administrator rights on my laptop, no one else is logged on, and I have no other applications running.  Any suggestions?

    Hey there John!

Please try my suggestions and getting back to me. You can try downloading and running the print and Scan Doctor then choose "Difficulty of printing" and let it run its course. See what the end results you show here and then try again to print. Please also let me know what the results show.

Try printing a few programs various (Notepad being one of them please) to see if the problem is with a single program, or all of them. Maybe a firewall can block the connection, try to leave this option off when you try to print from the few programs.

    Good luck! Enjoy your day

  • HP Deskjet 1512: Attempt at analysis of a series of 1512 HP Deskjet

Hello, I wonder if you could help me. I'm trying to scan a document using a HP Deskjet 1512.

I tried to access the icon for the HP Deskjet printer, via the Start button, then he takes me into all programs, can I access the HP icon, it indicates the series HP Deskjet 1510. I noticed, that he did not actually 1512 series.

Anyway, once I clicked on series HP Deskjet 1510, below that he has highlighted study to improve product HP. It does not emphasize the installation of HP Scan.

In the past, I used to have a version older than a HP printer and never had any problems. Once you have pointed out the HP icon, it will give you the option of detection etc.

For some reason, this model doesn't give me that option immediately. I would appreciate help with this.

    Thanking you.

    Hi Gemini2

I would like to say thank you for having responded to my query re: above.

Thanks for the link re: drivers mising, but didn't know about this path. You mentioned that there was a possibility that I might have to uninstall and reinstall the software.

So, after having researched a bit more, I realized that it was more than likely that I had only the basic features installed.

So, I decided to log on for my printer and re-installed HP website the full software for my HP Deskjet 1512. He took me to the registration also. I do not uninstall anything beforehand. Is it installed only the bits I didn't have before, can not be sure, but I noticed in the section devices and printers to my computer, it did not create another icon of the printer etc..

Once the installation process is complete, I could see all of the features, including the option to scan.

I tested the printer by printing a document and scanned a photo that I sent to me by e-mail.  Both worked well.

There seems to be a lot of people out there who has similar problems with the analysis option. It seems that unless you install the FULL software for this printer, features as the scanning is not available.

So, once again thank you for your quick response. Very much appreciated.

  • HP Deskjet 1512 - Page too small / Unknown Error

I just bought HP Deskjet 1512 all-in-one printer. Installation went normally, however, I can't print anything Windows Vista 32-bit. Here are the various error messages that I get:

"An unknown error has occurred" - FireFox

    "DΘmarrer can't feel" - WordPad

    "DΘmarrer can't feel" - MSPaint

"Page too small to print a line" - the notebook

Another oddity is that WordPad will display only a single letter per line. Microsoft Word displays not only any text whatsoever, not even of previously, working document. Any attempt to print from MS Word results in nothing happens, not even an error message. If I uninstall the printer and then Word, WordPad and all previous documents, poster correctly once more. Only when the printer is installed I see these quirks.

I tried everything and nothing has solved the problem. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the disks and drivers online. I used the Print and Scan doctor says all right. Checked all cables, rebooted, reconnected, crossed the 50 of the obvious things to check. As far as I can tell everything works; ink, printer, scanner, copy, etc.. I have made copies and scanned with no problem. Test maintenance pages also print without problem. I suspect that the problem is the printer drivers for Vista. For some reason, it says page is too small, so clearly I have paper loaded into the machine and selected letter size in the main tray.

Is there something that will fix this problem? I may need to return to this unit and back to Canon.

Finally, I returned the printer for a refund. Thanks for trying RnRMusicMan

I see that you are having problems with your new printer HP Deskjet 1512. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem.

The HP Deskjet 1512, has two doors at the front. the inner door is the door of access to transport and other is the output tray.

If you can see the inside of the printer where the cartridges are the transport access door is open and must be closed.

  • DeskJet 1512: Deskjet1512 HP A5 paper size

I bought today an all-in-one printer HP Deskjet 1512. This model being chosen on the 1510 as 1512 Spec claims that it prints paper A5 size, yet A5 is not in the list of size of paper under Printer setup / advanced options.

Does or does not print A5 as advertised?

talked with HP this morning and now loaded drivers for the 3520 that solved the problem.

  • DeskJet 3050 has: Scan Options window

    Hello

I have the DeskJet 3050 a printer and when I scan something it automatically scans in JPEG format. As I want to change my scans, I downloaded and installed the OCR software (I followed the instructions posted on the support forum HP, installation of the software for the HP Pro 8500 printer A910n JO). After you install this software, however, I can't find a scan window that allows me to choose the format for the scan options I'm about to do -: in other words, I don't have a window which now allows me to choose the RTF rather than JPEG. Do you know where I can find it?

(the instructions given on the Support forum for this step are: 4) now open the HP Deskjet 3050 scan window. Select "Scan" everyday and in the dropdown for "Type", select "Rich TEXT" or «indexable PDF»

(My problem is that I can't find the window of scanning HP DeskJet 3050 - and constantly scans automatically to JPEG format)

    Thank you

First of all, you must have the drivers and software HP Deskjet full functionality installed.  The scanning software provided with the HP Deskjet 3050 does NOT include OCR capabilities.  However, the HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 a A910n printer come with OCR capabilities.  Thus, the installation of the software and driver for the OfficeJet included installing the OCR package that can be used by the HP Deskjet 3050 HP scanning software and the product HP OfficeJet.

The HP scanning software are accessible in several ways:

    • #1 method - the Windows 7 Desktop: start-> all programs-> HP-> HP Deskjet 3050...-> HP Scan
    • #2 method - the Windows 7 Desktop: start-> all programs-> HP-> HP Deskjet 3050...-> HP Deskjet 3050...
    • Method #3 - Windws 7 Office: find HP Deskjet 3050 desktop icon; If it is present, run (double-click on).

Method #2 and #3 will launch the Desktop Client software. Under the analysis section, choose 'Analyze a photo document' to launch the HP scanning software.

    • Method #4: Navigate to C:\Program Files (x 86) \HP\HP Deskjet 3050\bin; Run Scan.exe HP (double click).  (Note: the C: drive is the default installation drive, change accordingly if you have installed the software on a drive by default.)

In the HP scanning software, you should see a number of shortcuts named Scan on the left panel of the dialog box.  Select the Scan shortcut named 'Scan' every day and change type of file to RTF settings in the right pane of the dialog box.  You can also create your own Scan shortcuts and configure the settings for scanning for this Scan shortcut to your liking, including the file type.

Click on 'accept as Solution' if it has solved your problem, while others may find it.

  • DeskJet 1512: Deskjet 1512 printer does not install...

    Hello

    I have a Deskjet 1512 printer ' All in one '.

I followed the instructions of installation and configuration up to the last comma - and still some 6.5 hours later - I still have a new printer that doesn't work.

    I am running Windows XP / SP3 / Dotnet 3.5

I ran the installation disc (supplied), made a cup of tea, ticked the boxes, responded to the questions.

When you are asked (and only when prompted) - connected my USB cable and the printer to the computer... This is where the problems started.

The function of 'Full' whistles and software bells began to try to detect my camera.

He was defeated by Windows Harward "Wizard" - saying it had detected a new device... but it can be installed "due to a missing Module.

About 2 seconds later - the HP software "Full Feature" he spits is dummy and tells me to connect my printer and check the USB cord...

Yes - I replaced the power cord USB ther with 4 different ones I have alternatives, but also try different USB ports on my computer.

    Always the same question.

    However-

The Scanner was installed - and works very well.

So, I tried a forced installation of "Backdoor" of the drivers of the printer - via the Windows hardware Manager.

This all seemed so promising - the pilots finally looked as if they were installing.
99%, the hardware Popup Manager informed me that my "device had been correctly install '...

About 1 second later - another window will appear - now telling me that it was not possible to "do something"? and that my ' device was not installed.

A quick look through the driver manager showed me that my scanner was installed, but the printer was not.

I completely uninstalled the HP software, then Dot Net... cleaned all Temp files and deleted all entries in registry rogeu.

Then restarted my computer (after checking that USB 2 has been enabled in Bios - who it was)

I then reinstalled the far Dot Net (downloaded via the HP Web site) and the "Full Feature" software (also courtesy of the HP site) this day... and...

    .. even the same.

    In short - I tried:

    • Remove all previous installations of HP and Dot Net 3.5 software
    • Relocation of all of the above
    • 4 x different USB cords
    • All the different USB ports on my PC
    • Swearing and the curse (usually works with Microsoft Products only)

The only thing I have NOT tried, is witch Craft and Country dance.

Any other suggestions would be very appreciated...

    Update...

I completely erased from my hard drive and reinstalled XP, SP3/Net fix...

The printer is installed the first time.

    If everything is working now.

There was something installed hidden somewhere that the installation process didn't like.

Thanks for your help with this.
