HP Deskjet 2050 j510c printer: scanning multiple pages

I want to scan about 160 pages - all loose sheets.  How to scan only once: in other words rather than raise the upper part

cover glass on the printer for each sheet, I want to place as many pages as possible and scan.

On this model, you can only do one page at a time. To scan a stack of pages, you need a model with an ADF (ADF records).

When I scan another document and click on save when I try to put it in the same folder I get a message saying that there is already a file with that name, do you want to replace. If I hit Yes, it get rid of my first scanned doc? When I look at what help it says don't save does not, but how to get around the above problem?

    Thank you

Well, if you use the HP utility scan it will work for you.

You're right, this is where you can be sure to determine whether you want to scan to a single file or multiple locations. However, when you are on the scanning window, there should be the main picture, then on the left there is a smaller thumbnail in a column. At the bottom of this column, there is a button with a piece of paper with a (+) mark. This will allow you to scan multiple pages in a frame.

Let me know if it works for you!

PS: Don't forget to save files in PDF format

  • HP Envy printer 4501: HP Envy 4501 scan multiple pages into a single document

My HP Envy 4501 printer won't let me not scan multiple pages into a single pdf document.

I already made sure the box 'Create a separate file for each scanned page' is unchecked under the section of the file in the advanced settings .

After I scan the first page, I do not get a screen with a + (plus sign) which is supposed to allow you to scan additional pages in the same document.

Is it possible that I can get a fix/update my HP Envy 4501 printer software which would show the screen with the + (plus sign) which allows to scan additional pages in the same document after the first page that you scanned?

At this point, if I don't get this problem fixed soon, I'm about to return my HP Envy 4501 printer to the store I bought so I can get my money back and buy a printer from one of the competitors of HP before my store warranty runs out.

I am very displeased with the printing software HP, support services and web presence that does not work half the time.

    Thank you

    Hello

Lower the resolution of scan equal or lower to 300 DPI, scanning multiple pages is supported only on lower resolutions.

Any higher resolution will not add additional pages.
