HP deskjet 5150 - failure sudden print under Windows 7

I've been running a printer HP Deskjet 5150 with Windows 7 for two years now without a problem (and for several years before in XP). Suddenly, it ceased to print from my desktop computer but continues to work away happily from my laptop (which is still running on XP).  When I select a file to print from office model, the printer comes to life (lights flashing etc.) but nothing is displayed. On the Control Panel, it says that it is there no ducuments in the queue.  I reloaded the driver etc. and used installation HP doctor, but all without result: none can detect defects.  But in trying different routes of troubleshooting, I find that the "Print test Page" function works as long as necessary the office, then it seems that nothing wrong with the printer functionally.   (But "print test page" in the installation of doctor HP is not working!)

I saw only two error messages: once I got an error message that read something like "this program has encountered an error and is unable to act" and a second, some time later, said "cannot print scripts on this page.  They lead me to suspect that the problem lies somewhere with the Windows software.  The firewall in use is BitDefender, but disable this does not solve the problem.  Can anyone help?

Sand Piper, to start sounds like it is a driver problem. I want to start to be sure that deleting the software and relocation happened in the best way possible. I want you to follow my steps, I can be sure that we start both on the same page.

  • HP deskjet 5150 does only print one line at a time

My deskjet 5150 worked very well until another paper went through and stuck.  I was able to pull the tail of the outside before he completely crossed, thus eliminating the document.  After that, the printer went from normal to print to print one line at a time, with long breaks between the two, such that a journal would take several minutes to print.

It happened before, and it seems that one of the many random things that I try finally works (striking out the cartridges, etc.), or he decides to forms and works correctly at some point anyway.  I don't know what is the actual active ingredient.  However, it has recovered from such behaviour several times before.

I should mention that this malfunction/recovery routine began and most recently occurred when connected to my old iBook G4 Mac computer.  I have just this week has changed to a MacBook Pro, the latest operating system running, and the printer is not different.  It prints one line at a time.

I don't know when this has happened to the other HP printers that I had in the past, I just put away, not realizing that they still had plenty of life in them left.  This one, I have "revived" several times already.  But how, I'm not sure!

    You have any ideas?

    Hi there chitownchic,

I suggest paper paper jam for the troubleshooting steps that are recommended for the jamming problem you had. Generally a very good cleaning of the rollers will help a little, and also a power reset.

    I hope that helps!

  • PSC 2115 all-in-one has stopped printing under Windows 7 64-bit.

Faced with the driver for PSC2115 which stopped working under Windows 7 64-bit. Problem is that this printer is old, but still in excellent condition and prints of cracking.

Used the HP trobleshooters to exhaustion. It shows that the printer is ready, but prints just stuck in the print queue and outputs nothing.

The message of the alignment of the cartridge is also high at all times, but it do not line up when you press on enter.

  • Re: HP Deskjet 710c printer driver will work for 712c printer under Windows 7?

It's very interesting, but my Windows 7 64-bit system does not list any driver printer tor the 710C.  Printer drivers are for the 450, 460, then 5100.  If the 710c driver is not available, including available pilots would argue the DeskJet 712C printer?

The drivers are sent through Windows Update.  Try the following: click Start, devices and printers, add a printer.  When the list of printers, click Windows Update.  Wait a few minutes to fill out the list, and then select HP for the manufacturer and HP Deskjet 710C.  For the x 64 version of Windows 7, you must apply the patch after you install the driver.  [Edit - patch is available here.]

Yes, the Deskjet 710C printer driver should be a good game.

  • DeskJet 5150: When converting to 10 Windows, is no longer print files in queue.

When I converted to Windows 10, printing happens ok when the file is sent with printer USB cable attached.  However, when the file is sent to the printer when the computer is far from printer, the file resides in the queue as you wish.   When the printer USB cable is later attached, the file is immediately rather than printed eliminted.

This moved not previously with Windows 8.1 and the same material.

    I've updated the drivers

A good suggestion.   I printed two files each edge and Firefox.   Edge files have been immediately removed from the queue on the setting of the printer cable.  The same files printed from the browser Firefox did indeed print when the cables are connected.

Two other files did print to the edge.   All files that do not print fom Edge ended in a .pdf suffix.

It seems that some types of filed do not print to the edge.    Given that everything printed in Firefox I use this browser in the future if I intend to print.

  • DeskJet 710C: HP Deskjet 710C does not work under Windows 10

As I moved to Windows 7, I had to connect the printer via a USB/LPT connector and issue the fix in this link http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-All-in-One-Software-Drivers/Deskjet-710-720-810-820-1000-Series... so that it can work properly. It is printed without flaw during my use of Windows 7.

Then came an upgrade of Windows 10... And when installing my printer is not able to print more than any way, form or content.

Basically, the or crashes when I try to print something. EventLog exposes the following error (translated from English):

Application with the error name: spoolsv.exe, version: 10.0.10586.0, time stamp: 0x5632d53b

Name of the module with the error: HPVSCP50. DLL, version: 1.0.0.6, time stamp: 0x4431bcd4

    ExceptionCode: 0xc0000005

Checking this list http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04658195 shows that the printer is supposed to work.

Finding a few more people with similar problems and solving the issue by using another PC, I thought that Windows 10 not like USB/LPT connector I have on it. So I got a cheap printserver I plugged in the printer, and reconfigured Windows to use the printserver port to print. PrintServer works perfectly, but still the HPVSCP50. DLL crashes when you print something (even something basic like a Windows Test Page), close the process.

Tried to grab the drivers from Windows Update to make sure that I had the newest and still no go. HP website refers to Windows 10 drivers by Microsoft than those needed to be used, but this driver crashes. So I guess it might be a flaw in Microsoft Windows 10 provides driver.

Anyone have an idea how I can get Windows 10 just talking to my old and trusty printer? Because I still have the printer toner, and I know the printer is still operational to 100%, I think it should work, also because it is listed as a printer to work for Windows 10.

Sorry, but I would like to buy a new printer.

  • HP deskjet 990cxi driver to use under Windows 7 32 bit. Can you help me?

I have a laptop using Win 7 32 bit Enterprise.

I have a HP deskjet 990cxi printer and cannot find a driver.

The HP site says it is included in the update of Windows, but on the other side it says that there is more

    For windows 7 32-bit:
Open the file devices and printers via the Start Menu
    * Select Add a printer
    * Select Add a local printer
    * Select the USB port on the printer connected to it in the list of existing ports
    * Click next and this should get you to the driver selection screen
    * At the bottom of the driver selection screen, select Windows Update (this can take a few minutes)
    * After the Windows Update, browse the manufacturer list until you find HP
    * Scroll the list until you find the HP Deskjet 990c driver
    * Click next
    Printer name and click Next

  • HP 6310xi - failure of printer using Windows 8.1

I just received a computer Windows 8.1 and downloaded and installed the last set of drivers from the HP website.

Whenever I try to print a document, I get the following error message in a block of error on the screen:

"Print on the HP 6300 Series - the printer error couldn't print PQTestPage.png".

The printer prints the part of the document, but not all, and I still get a blank sheet of paper printed before prints part document.

I tried your HPPSdr.exe and have removed and reinstalled the drivers of printer from your web site.

Do you have any idea what I could then try to solve the problem?

    Thank you.

    WayneJ3

I did a complete reinstall of Windows 8.1, and I'm still getting the problem with drivers for the printer HP 6310xi are not installed, due to an error in the SETUP of HP is not properly work.

  • Photosmart 5515 appearing as a regular printer and the other grayed printer under windows 7.

I have windows 7 32-bit, with 500 GB disk and 4 GB of ram. J’ai récemment supprimé tous mes pilotes usb et puis réinstallé, parce que je recevais l’écran bleu de la mort (BSOD) chaque semaine ou deux, prétendument causé par le pilote usb d’etron de gigabyte. My motherboard is a gigabyte GA-A75-D3H.

I went through several iterations recover my usb drivers and working properly. The last problem seems to be with the printer driver. I have just turned the printer off, removed the two printers from the list of devices and printers, and back in the printer market. The drivers once again and the printer "shadow" is back.

I tried printing HP and doctor scan, and it is a photosmart 5515 says he was not installed. And there does appear to be a way to remove it from its list of HP devices.

I don't know what to do next. I used windows xp for years and I'm quite familiar with it, but I'm still learning on windows 7, so I don't know what would be my next step in this process of elimination of the printer "shadow" disappear for good.

It turns out that the greyed out printer still had something left in its queue. It was not connected to any port, so I plugged in the port for the regular printer, and it printed a few things. And now, the greyed out printer disappeared, so I guess that the queue to be empty. Problem solved.

  • Fujitsu laptop computer: HP Deskjet 5150 is not compatible with Windows 10

Before I update, I need to know that my printer will be compatible.

It is old but good and reliable, so don't want to by a new.

    Anyone know?

As soon as the final version of Windows 10 is released, see the HP web site for your printer for supported drivers. But everyone knows that you should never move to a new version of Windows until at least 6 months after the definitive introduction.
