HP Deskjet 895Cse

All of a sudden the Tricolor cartridge is only printing pink, not blue or yellow.  It seems to be since I installed the driver for another HP printer that I use with my laptop in another location.   (I also use the printer network HP 3520 series in 3rd position)

I thought that the cartridge should be replaced, so bought another a (genuine HP cartridge), but it does the same thing.

The likely cause is a very old #23 cartrdige.  You might check that the cartridge is the problem by removing and gently dabbing the printhead against a wet cloth.  A good cartridge would have a strong strong task of cyan, magenta and yellow.  Probably your cartridge will only show magenta.  Please check the date on the cartrdige (two years from the manufacturing date) as shown in the paper here.

A new cartridge should solve the problem.

I can't get my DeskJet 895Cse to install on my ThinkPad corporate recently updated (for Windows 7). This machine is 64-bit. The company controls access to windows update - no authorized automatic connection.

I have a 32-bit personal ThinkPad that I've upgraded to windows 7 and the deskjet installed correctly by using the windows update connection.

How can I get the correct direct drivers so that I can thumbdrive load into my corporate ThinkPad?

    There are two possibilities:

    1. Go to start, devices and printers, add printer, seleect some dummy port as LPT1:, and when the list of printers, click Windows Update in the lower right.  (This is different from the normal Windows Update and may be feasible).  The list will take several minutes to update, after that, you can cancel the installation and then simply plug the USB cable to the Deskjet 895 and the pritner would install automatically.
    2. If the foregoing is blocked from another computer then visit the Microsoft Update Catalog site using IE (no other browsers not supported).  Search for Deskjet 895cse and the driver for Windows 7 64-bit is the file which is 11.6 Mb in size.
  • What is the procedure for temporary storage of a H - P DeskJet 895Cse Color Printer

Have replaced the H - P color printer DeskJet 895Cse printer H - P network.  Store temporarily until I can give to someone.   Should what procedure I follow to protect the integrity of the printer and not the holes to plug?

    Hello

You will want to remove the cartridges because the printer do not seal in the transport of cartrridge of ink.

When the new person gets the printer, they will need to run a page alignment and the printer test page to ensure that the flow of ink.

Depending on how long it is in stock, ink cartridges can be put in a ziplock in an attempt to preserve them.

  • Our Deskjet 895Cse stopped in color printing.

Our Deskjet 895Cse stopped in color printing.  Have changed cartridges, unplugged the printer, reinstalled the drivers with windows 7, lined up, cleaned and primed, checked to make sure that color settings on in the Properties window. Mystified.

Even if the cartrdiges are new in the box, that they may have failed if they are very old.  The cartridges don't notexpir, but if they are very old, they can fail print one or more colors. Check the expiration of the warranty like him show.  If the cartridges are years after expiration of the warranty I guess that the cartridge is the question.  In this case, you can check by gently dabbing the nozzles on a wet tissue.  A good cartrdige would have a strong task of cyan, magenta and yellow.

  • DeskJet 895Cse prints is more yellow

I have an old DeskJet 895Cse who faithfully printed more than 27000 pages during his life, but now is no longer printing yellow (based on tests with 3 different color cartridges) and sets the error code 90020103 on the material test page. I already cleaned the contacts, etc.. Is there anything else someone can suggest, or it's just time for a new printer?

In fact, it's time for a NEW cartrdige.  I guess your cartrdiges, although new in box are actually old stock.  You can check the date of "install by" on the package or check the date end of warranty as stated here.  Cartrdiges that are very old may be missing one or more colors, usually yellow and cyan.

You can verify that this is the cartridge by gently dabbing the printheads on a damp cloth.  A good cartridge will have a bunch of cyan, magenta and yellow, yours will be cyan and magenta only.  You might be able to recover the cartridge by soaking the printheads in 1 "of very hot water for five minutes, but the best solution is a new fresh cartridge.

During the storage of cartridges for long periods, it is best to keep in a cool place and keep them up because they would be suspended on a store shelf.

  • Deskjet 895Cse color printing problem

I don't get accurate color. I tried two new cartridges HP color without success. (I can't check for the Toolbox since I got my new computer with Vista). I only get black and pink and white essentially. Until very recently, even thought that it is an older printer, the color was excellent. Any suggestions? Thank you.

  • Unknown driver updated for DeskJet 882C and Windows 7

My 882C DJ works well under Win 7 for several months. However today for some unknown reason, an update of the driver appears to the DeskJet 895Cse. What is going on?   Thanx.

    Disoriented Bob

    Hello-

If your product works well without the update, you can decline the update and continue to use your product with the current configuration of the software.

However, the Deskjet 895Cse is in the same family of products such as the DeskJet 882C so you can accept the update, but I can't guarantee results.

I recommend declining the update and works with the software that you have already until you have a problem and need to update the software. Good luck!

    Thank you!

  • Requires a Deskjet 895 the two cartridgesto to be installed to operate?

I have a Deskjet 895cse connected to my HP Pavilion desktop via USB.  I only have the print cartridge black (45) installed and the ink light flashes and I can't even print a test page.  This printer requires the two cartirdges (black 45 and color 23) must be installed before this will work?  Thank you.

    Hello stutenn,

Generally all cartridges must be installed for the printer to print. This does not necessarily mean that all should be full as some printers still works with one of the cartridges are empty, however if the cartridge is not installed then the light will continue to blink and so print test page do not.

  • Deskjet 710/720/810/820/1000 Series printers - Patch for 64 bit Vista and Windows 7

There is a problem with the 64-bit, Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 or 8.1 drivers which causes the spooler crash with the following HP Deskjet printers:

    DeskJet 710

    DeskJet 712

    DeskJet 720

    DeskJet 722

    DeskJet 810

    DeskJet 812

    Deskjet 820

    DeskJet 822

    DeskJet 1000

The attachment contains a fix for this problem for Vista and Windows 7.

[The patch does not work for Windows 8, 8.1, or 10 x 64 systems.  There are efforts to this address, if a solution is developed it will be shown here.  [{Edit - I did not progress by getting the patch to run in Windows 8 x 64.}]

First of all make sure that the driver for the installed printer.  If the driver has not been installed go to start devices and printers, add printer, the local printer, choose the appropriate port (for the converters, USB-parallel, the port likely USB001: or maybe USB002 :), then click Windows Update then choose HP for the manufacturer and select the appropriate printer.)

Apply the patch as follows: log in to the computer with an administrator account.  Download the patch by clicking on this link or on the trombone at the end of this post.  Save the hotfix on your computer, then unzip it.  Then, copy the three DLL files in the following directory: %windir%\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3

Note that %windir%\System32 is a system variable that points to the location of the Windows directory. For most systems it will be C:\Windows.  You can click Start, computer, and type %windir%\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3 in the address bar and it is in the right place.

This can be done from a DOS command prompt if BACK is opened with the "run as Administrator" command or to explore with a copy and paste.  Depending on your UAC settings, you may need to provide confirmation.  Also allow existing files to be replaced if you are prompted.

This patch is not necessary and should not be applied to a 32-bit version of Vista or Windows 7.

Thanks to extraordinary Microsoft engineer Alan Morris forguidelines for patch.

Update - here is that of the more detailed installation instructions:

Download the patch on the DJ_Patch.zip at the bottom of the page and save it on your computer.  Now click on the file and open it, and then extract the fix in a directory that is easy to find. (I use c:\temp. If this directory does not exist you can create it as follows: open the administrative BACK prompts by clicking Start, all programs, accessories, and then right-click on CMD. EXE and select run as administrator. Click in the DOS window, and then type the following command:

    MD c:\temp

    CD \temp

Now extract the patch files in the c:\temp directory (all, extract c:\temp chose as a destination).

[Update - Windows security settings can prevent these files from being used, please open computer, type c:\temp in the address bar and then right click on each of the dll files and select Properties.]  If there is a message indicating the properties file has been downloaded from the internet and can be blocked and then unlock the file before continuing.]

Then, click back to the administrative DOS prompt and type the following: (the green stuff are comments, do not type them...)

*. DLL DIR (just to check that the files are there, it should list hpvdb720.dll, hpvdb820.dll and hpwm5db1.dll and perhaps others).

Net stop spooler (ensures that the files are not in use.)

Copy hpvdb720.dll C:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3 (this is for the Deskjet 710/712/720/722)

Copy hpvdb820.dll c:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3 (this covers the Deskjet 820 and 822)

    Hpwm5db1.dll c:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3(this covers the Deskjet 1000 copy)

    NET Start Spooler

    Output

[Edit - note that these DLL files will already be in the directory.  You will get a warning asking if it's OK to replace the files, say "Yes".]

At this point, the patch is installed and ready to print.

Note that here printers do not support USB connections, they have only the parallel ports. [Edit - if your printer has a parallel port to use, it will be probably much less problematic than the use of a converter USB / parallel].   If you use a make you converter USB / parallel it is supported in your operating system.  The following messages are reported by cables USB-parallel that are supposed to work in Windows 7.   A driver is required for the converter USB / parallel besides the driver of the printer.  For converters supported, it is usually provided automatically in Windows 7.  Note: the appropriate to select for USB-parallel converter port is often USB001:.  I've heard of cases where the port was USB002: or LPT3: as well.  If the port you are using is unable (after applying the fix) try to change the port by going to start, devices and printers, right-click on your printer and select printer properties, then click the Ports tab.

Mick4 wrote: the problem is that I only could unzip the 3 dll files but don't know how to replace the bad dll files. Mick 4

If you use Windows 7 do the following: log in as a user with the administrater properties.  [The following assumes that you are using IE as your browser] Click on the here link and select "Save".   Once the download is complete, select "Open folder", then right-click on the DJ_patch.zip file and select extract all.   If extract all is not an option, then click on "Open with" and select Windows Explorer.

Leave the default directory and check the box "Show extracted files when you are finished", excerpt.   Click Start, computer, and type % windir%\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3.  Arrange the windows so that you can access the two parts of the window.  Go in the first pane and select the three files dll, hpvdb720.dll, hpvdb820.dll and hpwm5db1.dll.  Now drag and drop them to the % windir%\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3 window, select copy and answer to 'replace' in the dialog box.

Note: %windir%\System32 is a system variable that points to the Windows directory.  For most systems it will be C:\Windows, but it can vary depending on the configuration of NDO of hardware configuration of the computer.  If you type %windir%\SysWoW64\cmd.exe in the address bar in Explorer or in start, search programs and files, it will find the right directory.
