HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3525: Impossible to scan, drivers are updated

Hello, my printer is connected via a USB cable and everything works perfectly except for scanning. When I try to scan something, that's what I get: "not found computer. Make sure that the printer software is installed on your computer, and that the "Scan to Computer" is enabled via the printer software.

I have the latest drivers - that confuses me even more. Thanks in advance for your help.

Thank you for using the HP Forums.  When you say latest drivers, this is the FULL features software?

If it's not the HP FULL feature software, you can download and install the software COMPLETE features of HP printing for your operating system:

The following resources will help you:

HP printer install wizard for Windows

Once you have downloaded and installed the software, FULL of features, you will be able to print and scan.

How to scan to computer

1. click the printer (on your desktop) and it will bring up the HP printer Assistant.
2. in the menu analyze, there is a 'manage Scan to Computer', click on that.
3 make sure you have "Enable" Scan of the computer. Also, make sure that the tab "automatically start Scan of the computer when I connect Windows" is checked if you want to perpetuate this feature. (the following video will show you how)

    I understand that you have a Deskjet Ink Advantage 3525 and wonder if it built in OCR capabilities. I will do my best to help you with this.

    Your Deskjet Ink Advantage 3525 does not come with the OCR of HP software. What you can try is download the software for one of our printers Officejet (an Officejet 8600 for example), run the installation software and regarding connection options just choose connect option later. Then, the OCR software is installed on your computer and you should be able to scan using the OCR software.

    Hi guys, I am exhausted after a week of trying to solve the problem. I am printing and scanning over wifi without problem, but there is no way to activate the print server (ePrint). The printer screen (and also Web page) explains this printer could not connect to the internet. I tried to reinstall, open ports on the router (WRT54GL) and millions of other web solutions. I don't have a proxy on my home network. Someone has solved this problem, please?

    The printer stop printing in black.

    I am trying:

    1. put the new cartridge HP 655 black original .

    2. I do several head cleaning cycles.

    3. I gave for printer.

    4. I remove the cartridges, turn the printer off, swith on the power cable, wait for mo to 60 seconds and plug everything back.

    5. I clean the vents and the surface of the black cartridge.

    6. I do everything, what I see in the paper by HP - Printers - HP Deskjet 3520, color or black ink not print

    And all of this does not help. My HP 3525 does not print black.

    Moreover, if I print a test page for the printer, I see racks, which are printed in black!

    At the same time, the black level is not printed!

    Please, help to repair!

    The printer is probably using composite black. A mixture of the color cartridges will create black.

    The print head is probably clogged. This model has a permanent print head. Not one of HPs, my personal recommendation is to use the solution put forward in the next video.  I suggest you only do this if the printer is out of warranty: How to fix a HP printer, printing black ink not.

    If the printer is still under warranty, please call for a replacement printer.

    I'm sorry to hear that your printer does not recognize the black cartridge, and I am happy to help you solve this problem!

    Are getting you any kind of error message about the cartridge? If this is the case, please follow this ink cartridge problem: "Not compatible ink cartridge" or "Ink cartridge must be replaced" message for HP Deskjet 3520 e-all-in-one and HP Deskjet Ink Advantage e-all-in-one 3520 Printer series document and, hopefully, the printer will recognize the cartridge after these steps.

    Maybe that's not the question if you thinking maybe that black ink is not printing? If this is the case, please try these steps printer prints blank Page or not printing black or color ink for HP Deskjet Ink Advantage and Deskjet 3520 e-all-in-one printer series for a possible solution

    HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3525 , I bought recently and I'm misssing some printing features such as color, impression of brightness, print preview and similar adjustments. I have only two tabs in settings page layout and paper settings. I tried on Windows 7 x 64 and Windows 8.1 x 64 and it's the same thing.

    I installed all of web or CD and no parameters. What should do? Each printer has these settings every time is at little cost or expenditure.

    I have provided the manual for the series e-all-in-one-HP Deskjet 3520

    The functions available are the way it was designed.

    Starting on page 10 provides the available for the printer printing preferences.

    The only tabs available are the layout and paper settings. On the paper tab, there is a button advanced with even more options available.

    You could install the Deskjet 9800 as a generic driver that would have put at your disposal various functionalities.

    On the computer, go to start, devices and printers, select Add printer. Follow the steps, select HP and Deskjet 9800 in the list. Set it as default printer.

    If you are able to print without problem test pages, it may be a connection problem.

    You can try another USB cable or try to uninstall and reinstall the software and drivers and see if you get the same results.

I want to know if I can scan a legal document size with my HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 1515.  I have also tried I scan A4 document, but the lower part is also cut.  I know with other scanners, it has an option to insert the file into the printer and it will scan from there... I couln can't parse my file as then, either. Help, please.

    Depending on your printer specificationsand user guide, sweeping glass maximum size is 21.6 x 29.7 cm (8.5 x 11.7 inches). Whereas legal Documents is 21,59 x 35.56 cm (8.5 x 14 inches).  This printer is designed for the digitization of paper ordinary size 8.5 x 11 only.

    Hello Citimba,

    On the main screen on the printer, press return, cancel, back, back button successively. You see Help menu, press the ok button, then use top / down arrow button to find the menu reset, reset complete semi selection and press the ok button.

    It's troubleshooting last step which I recommend. If this does not solve your problem unfortunately you will need to replace the printer.

    I'm running on Windows 10 Pro on my HP ProBook laptop and have reinstalled the software complete printer Deskjet 3830. I am trying to scan multiple pages into a single document from the document feeder, but it keeps scanning as multiple files .jpeg only. I searched the windows fax and scan app and you do not see an option for files .pdf on the drop to the bottom of the file type. Screendump below.     Once it has downloaded and installed, go to start > all programs > HP > HP Scan extended > Run "HP Scan extended.

    I own a printer and it never gave me problems, so far. It is not scanning, copying or printing!

    When I try you are ordering from the office, standing documents in the queue in the "Active printers', and he said only:"printing"in the first document in the queue.     If none of the steps has not resolved the problem, it is likely to be a hardware failure and then serviing as indicated product:

    If you have completed all the steps and are still experiencing a problem, continue to the Service the All-in-One section at the end of this document.
    

    To deny any possible cause however I suggest completely unplug the unit, and then connect it to a different wall outlet without being connected to any USB... If it persists, you should contact HP if you are still covered by the warranty or the ig unit is out of warranty service.
