HP desktop to screen white boots

Hello

Whenever I try to start my PC it displays a black screen after the dell logo appears. I tried to disconnect all external devices, but also tried to start in safe mode which shows just a white screen with a dash of white flashes in the upper right of my screen.

It's a Dell Hp media center pc with Windows Vista. Intel (R) Core (TM) 2 CPU.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello

For the best solution for your Dell PC model can I suggest you goto the site of Dell or support pages.

Kind regards

I want to create a virtual machine using VMWare Converter 4.0 from an Acronis True Image to ESXi Server 3i .tib backup file. The conversation seems to be working, but when I try to start the virtual machine, it begins to start, displays the Windows 2003 splash screen briefly and then fails with a blue screen with the following error:

    Any help much appreciated.

    > Thanks, unfortunately the .tib Acronis True image files do not work with Converter 3.0.3

You already have a virtual computer that start - it's just bluescreens - so no need to run the full convert again.

Juist use Converter 3.0.3 to configure the virtual machine - part seemed to have failed

  • Impossible to install other systems on HP desktop PC operation p2-1334-screen white/blocking

    Hello

    I have a desktop HP new-1334 - AMD E1 - p2 1200 Vision. Packed with Windows 8 x 64.

I want to install Linux distribution: Ubuntu 13.04 on it.

Problem: [I get a menu of text mode Linux distro who ask me if I want to install, after you have selected for installation, the screen goes black and white and the key NumLock on and finally the PC light crashes, no more stocks or noises]

    The steps I did:

    Changes to the BIOS:

-Boot order (to start from a CD or USB drive)

    -Option of secure boot disabled

    Result [Fail]

    Windows 8

    Consultation: changing PC settings

Selected to restart from a CD or USB drive > advance option settings

    Result [Fail]

I love Windows 8 and I also like Linux distributions.

Is there something on the new machines that have prohibited the Linux operating systems to be installed on them?

Linux distributions are Malware within the new UEFI standard?

How can I fix the vacuum/locking PC screen to install Linux on the PC?

    Thank you.

    Thank you for everything.

I managed to install Ubuntu 13.04 on my new desktop PC.

Very difficult and even rewarding that I did.

Please use an image on the screen of the BIOS on the Secure Boot.

It wasn't the only problem that I needed difficulty. I will try to cover all the steps that I did.

    1. I used a disc external HARD with an old encrypted installation of Ubuntu 13.04

2 - Ran the Ubuntu live cd and then invite them to try a regular install

    3 quit Setup

4 - Ubuntu Live CD to return to one an essay on operating system

5 took the Gparted program (to format HARD drive and partition of creation)

6 deleted all data from this external HARD disk (unmounted partitions encrypted and then erased)

7 created the linux partitions. ext4 - labeled root

8 - start the installation from the live cd

9 chose to install Linux alongside Windows 8 (installation of Ubuntu on the external USB hard drive)

    10. it worked. Jay!

Of course prior to all the steps that I had to intervene with this BIOS configuration:

    Before installing:

    1 - disabled secure boot

    2 - legacy boot: enabled

    3 - fast boot: enabled

    4-boot order (of CD)

    After installation

1 - boot change (from USB HDD) order

Now I get the dual-boot menu.

    Much to inspire but fun!

  • White screen after booting from the CD.

I had a virus, could not even open in safe mode, had a tech working on the computer so I could connect.  After that, I tried again and reload Windows XP from CD.  All right, 9 discs to and forward to the end.  Now, the computer starts but stops with a black and white screen.

    Ideas?

    Hello

    1. don't you get the beep when you press the power button?
    2. installation launched successfully?
    3. do you get the BIOS screen?

    Method 1.
I suggest to unplug all external devices such as printers, scanners, etc. of the system and then try to boot to the desktop and check.

    Method 2.
Also I ask you to set the BIOS on default and check parameters. You can contact the manufacturer of the computer for these settings.
    Note:
Change (CMOS) BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

    Method 3.
Also refer to the procedure described in the article below and check.

At boot I have a totally white screen until after a minute, and I get Windows Welcome. Everything is fine in the case. I thought it was a default CMOS?  How to see startup messages, and which key that will allow changing the CMOS and BIOS? Tried F10, 2, 6, and same F8'm in safe mode? Hope I don't have to do a full restore? Thank you!

Click on the link below and follow the instructions to create a startup disk best for repair/restoration of Windows CD. A when you're finished, place the disc in the cd rom of the damaged computer and then restart your computer. The computer will automatically boot from the disk. When the menu screen is displayed above and the arrow keys on the keyboard to scroll to ERD Commander, then press ENTER. Allow ERD load. This can take some time. You will be asked to select the operating system to load. If you have only one option will normally be C:\windows. You will also see a screen to configure the network settings. Click Ignore to skip the procedure. RPD will load windows. Once loaded click Start > system tools > repair of system files. Allow the repair. • Boots Vista 64 Ultimate SP2 (with domain) to the mouse cursor black screen white after that several failure system restores

Who can help me to WHO:

Sorry for fast hiking, misspellings, it's late and I do not use my normal computer to this problem I have.

I am currently sympthym to start the black screen with a white cursor (furniture, put in construction in the middle) with my laptop Dell Studio 15 (model 1537) that running Vista Ultimate 64 bit SP2.  He started tonight after repeatively, I tried to restore to a date prior to the System Restore tool.  I wanted to get back to Monday due to some software installations.  However, each attempt to restore failed and then after the 3rd or 4th attempt, when I tried to restart, I was faced with a window very long stop, and I was impacient and pressed and held the power button to stop it.  Subsequent starts, I've known this problem with no solution having been found for the moment.

I tried several things at first, such that I tried Ctrl-alt-del, control-shift-esc, blindly connect with my fingerprint.  I tried windows key combos, but no luck.  Still stuck with screen black mouse cursor

I have my vista ultimate 64 bit installation disc, and I started with the dvd and tried to fix it.  Automatic repair tool says he finds a problem with my start and had a difficulty to which I applied and rebooted.  But it did not work.

Then, I tried to boot from the dvd again and did the repair option again, this time, Autostart reparir tool see nothing wrong with my start and I tried a system restore, but alas, it failed after having worked for a bit.  Telling something about restoration being corrupted.  I tried command prompt (X:\Source) and make chkdsk c: /p (which btw, implies / f as well) and it found some errors and repaired them or what not was wrong to write to newspapers, even if and then after long waiting, returns to the c: prompt.  No effect.

On subsquent dvd boots, I tried the option to command line renaming a "Logs" directory and create a directory "Logs" empty (which was mentioned in some research online and even in a few posts here), but that has not solved the problem for me either.

Dvd later boots, I have tried regedit solution method, where you will load a SYSTEM key and set some sort of AUTHORITY NT set... but when I checked key, she was already the correct setting.

Then I learned that I could press the "Shift" key repeatedly while mode cursor screen black/white/and try the propmpt for keys pop-up to sticky.  But he said no 'link' as many instructions in this message box.  When I click 'Yes' to sticky keys, nothing is displayed and the pop-up closes.  Ditto for the 'no '.  There is no mention of accessibility settings.

I tried all modes of security, but just a white cursor plu experience.  I have tried to use "last known configuration', 'debug mode', 'start logging mode', mode"disable driver signing"and again, the same thing, the cursor of the black and white screen.  I'm really at my wit's end, and I don't want REALLY to re - install everything (operating system, programs, settings, etc.) ... I did not back upward, and I use this machine without problem for more than a year.

I remember once XP has a "repair install" mode which was really obvious to end users, since it looked almost identical to a clean install.  I have also heard (but can't really confirm) Vista has no such a fashion, that, by clicking on install, he repaired to the simular OS to XP disks how would repair their facilities.  I can't risk my data/programs/settings for accidental clean installation.  Help, please!

    Sincerely,
    Robert Eckman

According to me, put it back in place, is the only solution to your problem!

  • ERRORS OF DRIVER DELL INSPIRON 1525 WON'T BOOT SCREEN WHITE! HELP PLEASE!

I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M DOING WRONG, I TRIED SAFE MODE AND I GET THE SAME THING, I TRIED DOING DIAGNOSTICS AS WELL, ALL RIGHT.  PLEASE HELP SOMEONE. NONE OF MY LIGHTS LED FOR POWER SUPPLY, BATTERY, HARD DRIVE, WIFI OR BLUETOOTH ON ALSO WHEN I TURN ON MY LAPTOP, AS THEY NORMALLY DO. I TURN IT ON, AND AFTER THE LOGO WINDOWS, BLUE LIGHTS FLASHING ON MY WEBCAM AND THE STAY OF THE WHITE SCREEN, I'M GETTING NO SOUND IF I PLUG IN A DEVICE INSIDE.

SOMEONE KNOWS HOW TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM!

Do not safe mode with network. It will try to load too many drivers.

Try mode safe mode with command prompt since it will charge just a necessary drivers. If it does, you can try the above commands.

Only other option would be to try to start with a Linux LIVE CD/USB. (IE Ubuntu, Mint, or puppy or another other Dist you prefer).

  • Desktop and Windows white out screen and apps / remove all.

When I log on my computer, everything works fine, but after a while of doing normal things such as the use of the internet and the work, the first thing that happens often is google chrome always stops and then when I use the touch screen and I cannot click on anything whether to open. I can't get on the home screen by pressing the keyboard windows key. Once on them, the settings I've done for the display disappears and so do the apps. So soon after she removes the message appears saying "C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer or on a network. Make sure that the disk is properly inserted, or that you are connected to the Internet or your network, and then try again. If it can't be located, the information may have been moved to a different location... " Everything on my desktop disappears, and then make the icons on the taskbar at the bottom. When I reconnect and or restart it, it works perfectly so is again there. How can I solve this problem?
